Bundo's cabin is a tranquil and well-loved getaway nestled in the woods, ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat into nature. It's clear from the reviews that guests appreciate the cozy and clean accommodations, the beautiful surroundings, and the thoughtful touches like the record player. While most visitors find the cabin charming and a perfect escape, it's important to note the presence of ticks, especially in certain seasons, which guests should be prepared for. Overall, it's a great spot for families, couples, and pet-owners alike, with plenty of space to explore and unwind.

Awesome wooded hideaway

Great spot, the surrounding woods are pretty and there's a decent plot to stroll and lounge around. The accomodations were also comfortable, sleeping 4 of us pretty comfortably. Property is kept clean and trimmed. Loved our time here, would go again.

Beautiful land and the overlook of the meadows from the cabin's front side was quite something. Great little cabin, and we had fun listening to some of the vinyl records on the turntable! Weather was too hot for us to want to make a campfire but the fire pit area set aside for doing so was picture perfect.

Bundo's cabin was great!
With kids
We loved Bundo's cabin! There were six of us staying—two moms and four boys—and there was plenty of space for everyone. The boys had so much room to run around and play, and we loved being able to set up a tent for them while the moms slept comfortably in the cabin.
There was also plenty of room to set up a screened canopy, which made relaxing outside bug-free (though the bugs weren't bad to begin with!). The stargazing meadow was absolutely beautiful at night and made for a memorable evening.
The cabin had everything we needed, including air conditioning, which was a welcome escape from the sweltering heat. We also loved the record player and the thoughtful selection of albums—it was such a fun, unique touch.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Had an amazing time! The meadow was full of monarch butterflies and wildflowers and in the evening the woods looked magical with all the fireflies. My dog loved being able to run around off leash. I only wish I had more time to explore!

Better than expected
Found this cabin on a whim and booked it because of the positive reviews/photos. It turned out to be even better than imagined. Expect lovely views, tranquility, birdsong, and lots of fireflies (if you go in the summer). My boyfriend and I had a fabulous stay, and we’re already talking about coming back. The cabin was very clean and cozy, secluded and rustic enough to feel like glamorous camping, and was obviously well cared for. Thank you, Jon!

Jon's property is the definition of a secluded retreat - absolutely stunning. It is very easy to get to, perfect lodging accommodations and plenty of space for our 2 dogs to roam. Do be mindful of the season you are staying - wish we would have brought tick repellent dog spray. Can't wait to return outside of tick season.

Jon’s property was absolutely beautiful. Fully equipped with potable water sink, AC, fridge with small freezer, electric stove, and exceptionally clean outhouse. The sleeping loft was cozy but warm, would recommend bringing a small fan in the summer months. We unfortunately had to cut our
trip short due to the ticks, but that was no fault of the host and he was extremely accommodating. If you come to the cabin during tick season please be prepared. Overall this is a great Hipcamp and would definitely come back in the fall!

The perfect romantic weekend getaway. The house is perched in between 10 acres of land; making for ultimate silence and peace. The nature and bird noises are an added special touch. Would recommend bringing a tick spray. They were out and about!

Camping with comfort
With kids
I loved staying at Bundos cabin. Our kids had a nice time exploring and enjoying the land around us. It was remote but easy to get to and close enough to others that it wasn’t nerve wracking as a new place can be. Getting in was easy and the right mixture of camping and cabin life. Would highly recommend!!

We had an incredible weekend at Bundo’s Cabin. It was exactly what we needed. The heater works great! If anything, at night, we were almost too warm in the loft. Super dog friendly property, and it’s very private. We loved off-leash snow shoeing with our pups and did tons of exploring.

Penny and Frank’s Romantic Getaway
We had the best time! A few days of peace without anyone but the two of us. It was the most calming, relaxing and romantic experience we have shared since we met five years ago. They had everything including plenty of fire wood. We did burn what we brought but it never would have been enough. Being seniors it would have been better if more was split but we made do.
If anyone in your group is more than 6’ tall consider bringing sleeping for the floor downstairs or a big tent or just under the stars. The loft was difficult for my senior very tall guy. Again it was not a deal breaker.
We do plan to come again, next time we will figure out the stereo and the heater. I’m very technology challenged!
We will be going back for sure!

This is such a lovely space! I love how secluded this cabin is, the amenities were great (woo hoo for AC and cooking supplies,) and the land is gorgeous. The flies may be bold but my partner and I made so many great memories here and had a great weekend of board games, reconnecting, cooking, and laughter. 10/10, we will be back!
