Campsite was very remote, and the hosts are more than gracious with what they offer during your stay. Quick response time with clear communication and directions before arriving to site. Access to shelter, firewood, outhouse, table with seating, a bench and lounge chairs for around the fire, space to hang hammocks, even a tree swing! Our visit was early fall, and we found a TON of different mushrooms, a fungi lovers haven. The woods were quiet at night, occasional owls and a distant pack of coyotes. There is occasional road noise, but very minimal, so we slept great at night!

We were looking for nature seclusion in the UP and we got that with so many amenities. The space is dreamy, user friendly, quiet, very well shaded, and close to whatever you'd need with a drive. It was the detox from electronics I was hoping for with no service, and with more space to explore the micro worlds of mother earth two feet from the car. Moss covered rocks, mushrooms in every color, beautiful tree bark variety. Minimal bugs with very few mosquitoes (labor day weekend '25). Judy was an incredible host and very thoughtful. We'd love to come back in the coming years

Fantastic tent camping spot. Close to all the natural attractions like kayaking on the au train and Pictured Rocks! Judy is a great communicator and ensured we had everything we needed - especially the items we forgot to pack. Can definitely forsee us becoming regulars of this campsite!

Amazing spot to pitch a tent. Very secluded spot with a great fire pit! It was nice having the picnic table there for dinner. Watch out for the fart alarm on the outhouse.

If you're looking to disconnect and truly immerse yourself in nature, this is the spot. Tucked away in the woods just outside Marquette, the site offers total privacy, peace, and that deep-forest atmosphere that's hard to find these days. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful—quiet, remote, and perfect for unwinding.
We had a rooftop tent and the spot was perfect for it—flat, quiet, and surrounded by nothing but trees and the sounds of the forest. The host was super helpful and met us at a disclosed location nearby to guide us in, which was great since the site doesn’t have a formal address. The drive in was a bit rocky in a couple of places, but nothing too difficult if you take it easy.
There’s a fire pit, rustic outhouse, and plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy. Honestly, it’s got everything you need if you're into real, off-the-grid camping.
Only heads-up: the bugs were a bit hectic—definitely bring your bug spray. But if you're down for a true wilderness experience, it’s 100% worth it. Would absolutely come back!

Judy is the best. We had car issues while on the road during our drive up and had to scramble last minute to get back home. We contacted Judy and she was empathetic to the situatrion and was extremely accomodating in meeting us a day later to grant access to the site. Once we finally arrived, she could not have been a more hospitable hostess. This site is both close to civilization in that you don;t feel totally stranded, but also offers total privacy once in the campground. The bugs were out in force, but that comes with the territory (literally). This place is about 40 minutes to Pictured Rocks, and has instantly become our go-to spot for camping in the UP. We had a great Memorial Day Weekend up North, and look forward to visiting again at this same site.

This land was exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway with the pup: secluded, beautiful, and in a convenient location! Judy was a great host and her communication was excellent. The camp is an awesome spot and the layout is perfect for tent camping. Despite being so secluded, we were still able to get pretty good cell service which is an added bonus. The location is right between Marquette and Munising so it is convenient for those seeking to hike and explore those areas. We would absolutely stay here again!

Judy's site was exactly what we needed! It was a perfect, secluded getaway. Judy was super responsive to any of our needs/questions and the firewood on site was a huge plus! The location was great, as well. Plenty of great hikes and things to do nearby. I would absolutely stay at Judy's Hipcamp again!

Great place to stay if you are prepared for rustic camping. Bring tp and bug spray. You will need an SUV to get down the drive but once there it is a quiet, peaceful five acres. With a bonus shed if you want to escape the elements. Judy was very accommodating and her directions were easy to follow. We will be back!

I absolutely loved Judy's site! It was exactly what I wanted and needed; secluded, quiet, no cell service (for me, anyway), beautiful, but still a short drive to the beach and civilization if I wanted it. Judy is very thoughtful and it is obvious she cares about the well-being of her guests. I tent camped, and it was private and perfect! I highly recommend this site!

I would highly recommend staying at this site! The property is beautiful and conveniently located to both Munising and Marquette. There is a small cabin on the site where you can escape the elements if needed. Everything went smoothly and we had a great time. Thank you, Judy and Mike!

We absolutely loved Judy’s place. We were able to fit two tents including a canopy to help protect us from the rain. We loved that the place was secluded. We were truly immersed into the wilderness. Be prepared - there were a lot of mosquitoes.

We loved camping on Judy's land! Five acres all to yourself! It was so peaceful, all you could hear was the birds during the day and silence at night. My favorite part was when it rained! Hearing the sounds of rain and seeing the forest all around you was an amazing feeling.
The fire pit was a perfect size and there was plenty of fire food! There was a table, a few side tables, chairs and outhouse.
We camped in July and it had been raining a lot so the mosquitos were pretty bad. Judy provided us with bug net masks which helped out a lot!
When we arrived Judy helped is with the fire which was so kind as the wood was pretty damp from the rain and difficult to lite.

It’s absolutely stunning. Judy is a fantastic host. Grateful she shared this location with us. Bugs are expected when camping, but truly not bad after your fires goin and bug spray it up. The only time they were bad was when we first arrived, but again, once you get the fire goin and spray the area a bit, very tolerable. We would love to visit here in UP again, So green, quiet, beautiful views. Pictured rocks are amazing. Hope we will see you again in the future, Judy! Thank you again for all you do. 🤟🏼🔆

What a perfect slice of fall. It was everything my pumpkin spice loving, hiking obsessed, dog loving soul needed.
My partner and I stayed here with our pup. We loved the sweet solitude of this place. The bumpy drive into the woods was just the right amount to feel totally tucked into the forest.
We loved having precut wood and everything we needed. The space was kept up with lots of tlc. Our pup loved running around in the leaves and the freedom of being of leash.
Just a short drive from the shore of Lake Superior or countless hiking trails in the area. It's the perfect getaway. Already thinking about the next time we can get up there!

Just you and nature. It’s a comfortable spot that has endless possibilities. There is zero internet so you are completely unplugged; it’s nice. Judy is a delightful host who cares about your comfort. I chose the location for the seclusion and the location. It sits in the middle of the UP so everything is just an hour or two away. Sand Point Beach was a highlight at only 40 minuets away, and Bond Falls did not disappoint at 1.5 hours away. Highly recommended!

We LOVED staying at Judy’s campsite and plan to return next year! The location is a short drive to Pictured Rock, beaches, and beautiful hikes. Judy was extremely kind and welcoming.

Judy was very helpful/friendly host, Her meeting spot was easy, And it was in a very remote private location. They have this little cabin that she let us use for extra little tidbits, which had a few things were helpful like the broom and dust pan for our tent. The unlimited firewood was great for mosquito season and it got a bit chilly. So it was nice to stay warm. I really enjoyed my stay and I hope to be back.
