Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Have 3 RV sites available all have water and electricity 30 amp And 50 amp available Unlimited tent sites Have a stream running hru the property. Lake Superior across the road. 11 miles from the Tahquamanon Falls 11 miles from Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. A mile and a half north of Paradise on the left (west) side of North Whitefish Point Road. 40 miles from Oswald Bear Ranch

Pitch tent near the stream have fire ring just one three sites with 50 amp. Lots of land to walk gather wood still in process of getting small cabin with all of Basic amenities. This really is a project still in process. Most of Property has not been cleared and we are currently working on that but we do have some sites available basically hard woods birch maple trees shipwreck museum is 11 miles up the road lots of blue berry picking lake Superior to cross the road

I ended up not staying. The yard was pretty junky and it is right by the highway. No privacy.

Jay and Margaret were gracious and friendly hosts. The space was beautiful and the night sky was amazing. We were the only campers so it was extra quiet and perfect for what we needed. Thank you!

We enjoyed the campsite at Margaret and Jay's property. Very friendly people. We were able to park our car right at our campsite. The fire ring was extremely large and much fire wood was stacked and ready to burn. Very private and quiet.

What an excellent place to camp while visiting Paradise and Whitefish Point! Conveniently locating across the highway from the lake. Very accommodating hosts, wish I had enough time to have met them in person. Definitely would recommend.

Overall it worked in a pinch for us, but I wouldn't choose to go back. Very close to the road, so you have constant traffic noise. Although different camp sites are advertised there are no clear sites once you get there. Camp hosts live a few feet away, lots of debris in the yard.

Great experience all around! My brother, friend, and I used a 10 person tent and there was nice, flat ground in good proximity to the fire pit. Margaret was very helpful and we probably spent an hour or so talking with her husband about the history of the area and more. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Simple set up with power and water if you need it! Hosts were generous and kind — let us use their fire pit and wood, offered suggestions for spending time in the area. Whitefish point was beautiful (minus the flies in the morning!).

The camp site was level and free of debris and stones. Finding this site was easy!! The location was near a road that was travel infrequently. The hosts were awesome and very welcoming and accommodating. Bring your own camp toilet. We did not use the fire pit but the host provided firewood for us. As we were two single females in camping tents, we prioritize safety and We felt very safe there.

Margaret and Jay were great! They were friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed their telling me about the area from their own history with it, to activities and food options around. They didn't mind my charging my Tesla at their 50amp hook up which simplified my trip planning. The weather in Paradise, MI was amazing 15+ degrees cooler than Tahquamenon Falls State Park which was only 10 miles away. The property is across the street allowing for an amazing vantage point to watch the sunrise. I can't wait to make my way up to this Up North spot and share it with friends and family.

Perfect spot right off the lake, for some reason the directions say to turn into the spot across the street even though it's the wrong address.

It's not a fancy site, but it never promised to be. Margaret was friendly and easy to work with. It is very close to Tahquamanan Falls , Whitefish Point, and the spot where the Tahquamanan River empties into Lake Superior took my breath away.

We wished to visit the Newberry/Whitefish Point/Paradise area and this HipCamp offered a great location with an electric hookup and was big enough for our 27' toyhauler. The site is level and firm. You do have to back in from the road, we had no issues getting in/out. The Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and informative as to local information. If we return to the area we would gladly stay here again.

Overall we had a great experience, it is right off the main road so it was hard to sleep as we heard every car passing by and even though Lake Superior is across the road you cannot see it due to homes and trees. No accessible bathroom and so close to other campers that you could t go outside. It was nice for a quick last minute trip tho. Once they finish these sites it could be amazing

Margaret and her husband are super friendly. They gave us our space but we’re very helpful at check in. You do have to back in from the road, but they were helpful in getting us in place. This location is what attracted us. 10 minutes to Whitefish Point.
