The Sweetest Cabin...
If only love could resurrect all structures like it did Cathy & Dan's cabin! No stone was left unturned (or unloved) in the creation of this cedar masterpiece and my daughter and I were delighted to spend a weekend soaking up the sounds of frogs and crickets, star gazing, and wandering through the happy trees. We brought along some solar lights, bedding and snacks and had everything we needed. Thoughtful and kind hostess Cathy guided us to the hideaway and made sure we were comfortable and care for... and we had a perfect and relaxing stay. A++

A Beautiful Cabin in the Forest
My stay at the Tucked Away cabin was great! The hosts were kind enough to meet me when I arrived and showed me the way back to the Cabin. After a few tips I was left to enjoy this secluded corner of lower Michigan. The tall trees and sounds of nature surround you as you relax by the fire here, it is quite special. The cabin is well stocked so your stay goes off without a hitch. The table inside and the picnic tables outside allow you to enjoy your meals, rain or shine. The beds are both quite comfortable!
For anyone looking to spend some time in the forest, but keep a solid roof over their head, I highly recommend staying at the Tucked Away Cabin!

CAMPING PERFECTION: BOOK IT NOW!
This little cabin and clearing in the woods was camping perfection. The setting is beautiful, the shade is lovely, but you also get some sun, you can hear the birds…it’s beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin has all the basics you need: cast iron skillet, random other pots and pans, a kettle for heating water for dishes, coffee, or your baby’s bath, cooking utensils, dishes for eating, dish soap, dish pan, dish rag, trash bags, fire starter, wood for purchase, and salt and pepper. There were also roasting sticks and 2 reclining camping chairs onsite as well as several picnic and folding tables. The two 7 gallon jugs of water were nicely set up and have spouts for easy dispensing. It was enough water for us the whole stay (we arrived Wednesday at 11:00 am and left Friday at 3:00 pm).
There are also trails through the woods that you can walk on. The one day I drove out to a wonderful ice cream shop called Mooville that is only 11 minutes away. This place feels like you’re way back in, but if you need anything, you are very close to civilization.
Dan and Kathy were super friendly and even provided a high chair and toys for our one-year-old, which she greatly enjoyed!
Everything was very clean and well-maintained. It is obvious Dan and Kathy take great pride in their adorable campsite and it’s so lovely that they let us enjoy it too! We would definitely camp here again!!

Me and my best friend absolutely loved our stay!! The cabin was a perfect little getaway and the hosts were so kind and helpful. There was even a field of beautiful wildflowers as your going into the woods which was such a pretty surprise. It was so fun we will definitely be coming again!

Private and Accommodating
Beautiful handmade cabin with artistic details, such as glass marbles in the walls of the outhouse, torched plywood floors, and thoughtful placement of hot dog skewers leaned against the front.
The host was kind and left no question unanswered. There was even a map of the property on the table. We really enjoyed walking the trails, which were mowed and easy to follow.
The cabin is far far from the main house and perfect for those that need privacy. Great place for our family. Although unheated, when the temperature dropped to low 40's at night, we were comfortable enough inside to throw our blankets off.
The cost for a night's stay was right on as consumables such as toilet paper, paper plates, and hand sanitizer were included. I felt it was a good value and am thankful for a wonderful experience.
