I will definitely be staying here again. The land is beautiful. The host was helpful when I had a question, and then the host let me be for the duration of my stay - just how I like it. Great place!

If you are self-contained, like to be close to nature, and don't want glamour and frills when you are camping, this is the place for you!

Peaceful Getaway on the Deer Ranch
A perfect rustic getaway
We had such a terrific time: as animal lovers and wanna be livestock farmers! From the big-puppy greetings driving in to the growing pile of duck eggs by the gate to the tiny newborn goat, we loved every minute of our stay. Our hosts were lovely and we really enjoyed the brief opportunities we had to talk animals with them, but largely we had solitude and quiet in a field by the woods for the duration of our stay.
We especially enjoyed the bovine/ovine welcoming committee, and feeding the deer.

Peaceful and secluded
The ranch is large, but situated right near town. Taylor is an attentive host who was quick to answer any questions. The dispersed camping is very rustic, but worth the effort. I'll be back!
