The resort was founded by Loran Fickle, who, along with his wife Arlene and their family, transformed a modest beginning of tent sites and cabins into a thriving community hub. Today, Loran II and Laney, along with their spouses Chris and Suzan, manage the business, supported by the next generation—Hannah, Kyler, Clay, and Jade—along with dedicated summer employees. Together, they ensure that every visitor enjoys a memorable experience, whether it’s park maintenance, running the general store, or serving up delicious hand-dipped ice cream.
