Gearing up for our 5th season as the new owners of The Sportsman's Port. We have made many updates and will continue to do so. We take pride in a clean bath house, and want everyone to have a great time at our campground. Sometimes it's crazy booked up and other times it may just be you. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will answer them as soon as we can. We look forward to meeting lots of new faces and hopefully starting family traditions for you and yours. We have spacious sites that are all different shapes and sizes. Depending on the site it may have 20/30/50 amp service depending on the site. There are currently only three that have 50 amp service. Also some sites have a septic hookup. Water fill station is located near the bathhouse. There is a private dump station also available for use just ask.

Site forty four

A new favorite place!

This was an excellent place to land and Thomas is an excellent host. I enjoyed my stay in the rustic area and loved that I could book a paddle trip on the pine River through sportsman's port, which meant I didn't have to worry about a permit for the river. The livery service was excellent and a great price. Thomas is well known on hip camp for his bath houses and they do not disappoint. Wood delivery is a great little bonus and the prices for rustic camping here are very reasonable. The rustic campsites are lovely, and even though it was busy during a holiday weekend, at other times you will have plenty of privacy in those sites. They're shady and grassy with fire pits and tables and vault toilets, although the modern bathrooms are not far away. There's also a picnic shelter and grill back there and plenty of trails and forest to wander. I'm planning to go back next year and felt like Thomas and his staff really cared about everyone having a good experience. It might not look super fancy but it has everything you need (including a camp store) and there is a large corner store just down the road. Love this place, and I truly appreciate Thomas' excellent service and care.

Clean clean clean!

Very clean! Shower had a continuous flow. Anyone who camps often knows how welcomed this is! Very level Campsites. Thomas was an incredible host! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice camp experience

My friend Maral and I went tent camping at Sportsman’s Port; it was lovely! The bathrooms were well clean (showers, toilets, sinks). Campground hosts, Tom, were very hospitable and nice. He offered brewed coffee in the camp store in the mornings. He helped us to grill our sweet corn. There are lots of beautiful farms near the camp that you can enjoy. We went to Sleeping Bear Dune Overlook (around one hour away from the camp) and cute Manistee downtown. We’ll come back there soon to try out the campground’s paddling/rafting trips!
