Site 15 - Sportsmans Port Camping w/Electric
The view was beautiful. The campsite was even more nicely laid out. What amazed me the most were the bathrooms I absolutely loved the bathrooms and the showers. The one bathroom across my campsite from 15, I was a bit skeptical because I don’t like portable potties or the little bathrooms. But it surprised me because they didn’t smell. The bathrooms and showers were all clean and nice. I would more than likely come back to this campsite if was coming back to this area. And I would definitely recommend as a place to come camping and staying. There were this adorable family of turkeys that we kept finding running across our campsite and across the camp. They came around as we were packing the last of our things up as if they were saying goodbye it was nice see you!

The site was great! It was so clean and provided privacy. It also has spots more open to community if you are going with a larger group. The bathrooms were very clean and they have a lot of activities for children (paths to ride around, basketball, bounce houses). They also have a shuttle and rentals for kayaks & canoes that we didn't take advantage of this trip, but will next time!
The hosts were so great. They came around to check and see if we needed anything, provided bags for us to throw our cans around and sold firewood which was so convenient! We really enjoyed the quiet area and comfortable camping. I would definitely recommend for a small group outing like ours!

My family and love the peace and quiet ... stayed 3 nights. Only one nite was really bad ... a group came in was extremely noisy .. even after 11pm quiet time ... they partied til 4am . Bathrooms (main) very clean stocked well .. park safe for children . Firewood not over priced . I will return for sure

Site 10 - Sportsmans Port Camping w/Electric
This place is great! The front electric section is kind of an open field with a pavilion, playground and clean showers and bathrooms. The back rustic section is a winding two track with grassy and private sites connected by mowed trails. There’s a small dirt bottom pavilion.
This place would be fantastic for groups.
My only negative (which is obvious based on location) is that you can hear the road noise from camp, however I’ll take road noise over an overcrowded campground swarming with people any day.
Ice and firewood available. Lots of people kayaking. Very close to Hoxeyville and Caberfae. Dog friendly :)

Easy access from Hwy M55, well-maintained grounds, super clean bathrooms and shower, helpful host, shaded level sites, great location for nearby hiking biking and paddling. Gas station and store right down the road.

Best campground hosts around!
This was my first time finding a small campground through Hipcamp and I picked a winner! Communication was quick and amazing and the hosts were so welcoming. Even though the group that camped next to us were awful, the hosts bent over backwards checking that we were alright and helping us when we had questions. We will definitely be back!

Thomas was extremely friendly and accommodating. Always checking on us to see if there was anything we needed. The place was very clean and well kept. Free coffee was offered to us every morning. I can’t say enough great things about Thomas and his wife. By the time we left we felt like family. We will definitely be back. The rafting was a blast for us first timers.

Great location! Bathrooms and showers, very clean. Well kept facility. Awesome campground hosts as well. We didn't get there until 8:30 or so, but they stayed open waiting for us. Delivered wood too! We will be back for sure!

One of our fav places up north!
We love the size of the sites and fit easily with our 34’ RV. There is a lot for the kids to do and also lots of room to bring your own yard games. Very laid back campground, family friendly, dog friendly. Clean bathrooms and showers. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating and it’s close to the Pine River and Lake Michigan.

Awesome spot to camp. Big parking area, Large campsites, Great staff. They also rent Canoes and will shuttle you to and from the river. The price was right and the hosts were great. I'd definitely go again.

The night sky is amazing!
Some traffic noise but that quiets down in the evening. Clean and well cared for. New owners are really trying to get facility to the level they believe most people expect. One caveat - no dump station but they're working on 5jat. Thumbs up!

A well-maintained and fun site
I stayed here in late July 2021 with a group and had an absolutely great time. You can tell Thomas has put a lot of work and care into the campground.
I'd say this site is perfect for large family gatherings, kids, first-time campers, and more.
The facilities are very clean and well-maintained, there are plenty of fun games and activities for people of all ages, and getting any necessary supplies is easy between Thomas' campground store and a well-stocked gas station down the road.
Thomas himself is very helpful and attentive, and really made the stay that better. He's known and well-regarded by his community, as evident talking to people in Wellston.

Fun camping experience
The campsite was a perfect place to relax and have fun! The place was nice, had a good atmosphere, and had clean facilities. Thomas was a great host and we will definitely be back. I would recommend coming here if you are looking to have some drinks and a good time with friends!

Awesome place, quiet, clean!!
Excellent place!!! Very clean bathrooms, sites were very maintained!! Owner is awesome, very helpful and attentive to anything you need!! Big wood stacks for fire avail. Anytime we are in the area, this is the spot we will stay for sure!!!

This was my first time using HipCamp and it was a great experience. The campground was well kept and the amenities are good! The bathrooms and showers were always clean and they deliver ice/ firewood right to your tent. I would come back here.

Campground was very clean, the restrooms/shower house was recently removed.
Was in the perfect spot, close to Cadillic Michigan. The owners were helpful and friendly. We will be back.

this location is very beautiful and safety. I strongly recommend to use this location. It was chilly cold and bad weather, so I could’t try kayak, but next time I would like to do.
