Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Santa’s Shack! This property has multiple units that can re rented all as one unit (Santa's Shack Triplex) with a max guest count of 18 and has 5 separate sleeping areas and 3 bathrooms or a combination of the smaller units.
*The outdoor amenities are shared between all units (hot tub, fire pit, parking area, backyard)
*Quiet time is 10 pm to 8 am
*There is 24 hr audio/video surveillance equipment facing all exterior entry doors
*No unauthorized guests (people not included on reservation) allowed without preapproval from host
*No animals allowed
*Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. Primary guest will need to send a picture of government issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group.

Santa's Shack Triplex

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Santa’s Shack Triplex! This home is actually 3 separate units combined into one for large groups. We can sleep up to 19 during spring, summer and fall and up to 15 in the winter. This includes a separate bunk house in the backyard that sleeps up to 4 on a set of 2 bunkbeds, only available May through October. There are 3 bathrooms with a tankless water heater so hot showers for everyone! There’s also a hot tub on the back patio.
Our home is located in Christmas, less than 5 miles from Munising, the beginning of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We offer a Studio unit that has a king bed, a bunk bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. The lower level of the main house has one bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room, as well as another kitchen and the laundry room is on the same level. On the upper level, there are 2 bedrooms. One has a queen bed, and the other has a queen bed, and a twin over full bunk bed. The upper level also has a bathroom, living room, kitchen, and offers a deck off the kitchen area with a gas grill and patio set. The bunkhouse is a short walk into the backyard and has 2 sets of bunk beds in it and it’s own Roku TV for entertainment. Below the upstairs deck is a private hot tub, another patio set, and another gas grill. The backyard has a fire pit along with a picnic table.
Come on up and stay with us with your large family or group of friends! The way our home is set up, you’ll have room to separate when you want a little more privacy but all can still stay together :) We are only a couple blocks from snowmobile/atv trails with room to park a few trucks and trailers. Pictured Rocks boat tours are less than 5 miles away, Au Train Beach and Sand Point Beach are about 10 minutes away, Grand Island Landing to explore Grand Island is about 3 miles east of us. In Munising, there’s numerous waterfalls, mountain biking/hiking trails, kayak tour companies, restaurants, bowling alley, ice skating rink (during winter only), there’s something for everyone! Foggy’s Steakhouse and Christmas Kewadin Casino are both within walking distance from our home. The White Pine Lodge is right in the backyard which has a gas station, convenience store and hand dipped ice cream

Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Santa’s Shack Downstairs in Christmas! One of 3 units available at the same location. This 1-bedroom 1-bath apt offers 1 queen bed and one queen sofa sleeper. Great location just off of M-28 behind the White Pine Lodge/Sunoco Gas Station and less than 5 miles from downtown Munising. It’s close to Pictured Rocks, ORV trails, many waterfalls, and lighthouses. The casino is within walking distance, as well as Foggy’s Steakhouse.
The space This is a ground-floor unit and all recently remodeled. The home has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, but also has a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. While the home is conveniently located right off of M28, there is not much for a view or privacy when hanging outside, as the apartments all have the view of the back of the White Pine Lodge and the Sunoco Gas Station. There is a fire pit and a hot tub that are shared with the other apartments in the backyard. Since there is a unit directly above you, there is potential for noise from other guests.
Guest access The Downstairs unit has shared access with the Upstairs unit and the house cleaner to the laundry room on-site. Your laundry room door locks on the apartment side, so none of them will have access to your unit.
Other things to note Steps required to get to the toilet and to the shower. AC is not central air; the air conditioner is in the living room. Lower unit, so you will hear noise from guests above.

The space This is a ground floor unit and all recently remodeled with that up north feeling, including tongue and groove pine ceiling and log beds. It is a cozy little studio, so there are no private bedrooms. While the home is conveniently located right off of M28, there is not much for a view or privacy when hanging outside, as the apartments all have the view of the back of the White Pine Lodge and the Sunoco Gas Station. There is a fire pit and a picnic table that are shared with the other apartments in the backyard.
Guest access Our guests here have full access to the Studio and also have access to the fire pit in the backyard. They do not have access to either of the 2 units in the building next to Studio, nor to their patio areas.
Other things to note The heater for the Studio is a natural gas wall heater, and it will get hot to the touch. If bringing little ones during heating season, please be aware. Also, the shelf above the heater is removable for easier access to heater controls.

Great location just off of M-28 behind the White Pine and less than 5 miles from Munising. It’s close to Pictured Rocks, ORV trails, many waterfalls and lighthouses. The casino is within walking distance, as well as Foggy’s Steakhouse. If there’s a large group, combine with our other 2 units on the same site. The space This is a second floor unit and all recently remodeled with the feeling of up north including pine trim and log beds. Home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. While the home is conveniently located right off of M28, there is not much for a view or privacy when hanging outside as the apartments all have the view of the back of the White Pine Lodge and the Sunoco Gas Station. There is a fire pit and hot tub that are shared with the other apartments if you would like to be outside, and you also have your own private gas grill and patio set on the deck. The building also has an on demand water heater so you’ll never run out of hot water, even if you take the last shower :) Guest access Guests have access to their apartment and their back deck, and the shared fire pit and hot tub in backyard. They do not have access to the other 2 units onsite. Other things to note Must climb stairs to get into apartment. Please be conscientious of guests staying in the other units, especially the unit below yours. Quiet time is from 10 pm to 8 am.
