"A lovely spot" Nature As Canvas: Perfect place for sunset vows with golden light and fireflies, our pastoral setting among heritage farms makes for private and peaceful with a blank canvas to create your own vision under a star filled sky. Camping events with communal firepit, parking and our covered Pavilion, that seats up to 100 guests are the highlights. Nearby are wineries, brewery based farmsteads and the lake shore to explore. 8 miles to Lake Michigan Beech. 5 miles to 2 wineries and a cider house. 30 years ago this land was used to pack and store onions and carrots. The farm hand manager lived where the barn bathroom is. The property is just south of the Allegan state game area, where mint was grown around 1900. The owner AM Todd created the double distilled mint process and sold it to Wrigley for double mint gum.

Sand Lily Farms has 8 acres of beautiful grasses including big blue stem and wildflowers. Nearby properties are woods in one direction, corn in the other, great views and very quiet. Hot shower, regular flush toilet and sink bathroom in small part of a barn. Quiet small family is at work/school during the week or otherwise inside most of the time. Sites are 5 minute walk from main house.  We see lots of birds, including sand hill cranes, geese across the road in the corn fields. Deer, wild turkey, ground hogs are also common.  All sites are mowed grass. We are 6 miles from Lake Michigan and 5 miles from Fenn Valley Winery and Virtue Cider. The city of Fennville, 6 miles away offers nice a 4 star restaurant, Salt of the Earth and a nice coffee shop with an Art Gallery. There is also a mom and pop bar and a breakfast place. Food Store, Hardware, Post Office, and lot of art studios and antique shops near by. Pets are allowed but must stay away from main house.

Sand Lily Farms is a former grass fed cow farm. We have 8 acres of beautiful grasses including big blue stem and wildflowers. Nearby properties are woods in one direction, corn in the other, great views and very quiet. Hot shower, regular flush toilet and sink bathroom in small part of a barn.  Sites are 5 minute walk from main house. Camping can be very close to bathroom. We see lots of birds, including sand hill cranes, geese across the road in the corn fields. Deer, wild turkey, ground hogs are also common. There is a electric fence but it is turned off and there are many access gates. Sites near barn is drive able with any vehicle all sites are mowed grass or dirt. We are 6 miles from Lake Michigan and 5 miles from Fenn Valley Winery and Virtue Cider. Open sided Barn with Cement Floor for Parties or gatherings. Bathroom (shower, sink, Toilet) available near by. Limit to 30 people for the 1 bathroom. Site should be cleaned before leaving and trash taken out before sleeping so the animals don't come. We provide Recycling and Trash. 3 tables, 2 picnic tables. Assorted chairs. Twinkle lights. Fire Pit. Lots of privacy.

So quiet! Felt private and reasonably close to the beach -about a 6 mile drive to the county park beach. Worked great for our first car-camping test run. This suited us well. Thankful for the modest shower (with hot water) and bathroom facilities.

We love this spot just because of the privacy you get. We were driving distance from all the dunes a lot of good hiking spots on the beach a paddling spots. We loved it cause we could wake up see the sun rise before we went hiking a paddling come back a take a nice shower as long as you have a fire lol was a little cold in may. We love it an definitely gonna book again for our hikes in the future instead of sleeping in the car. Great price as well. Just loved everything about.

We booked last minute and luckily there were no other campers there which was nice. We enjoyed the fire pit and star gazing was amazing in this area. Also the inside toilet and shower was nice to have even though we didn’t use the shower. Would stay again. Thank you!

Good quiet rural spot to camp

Quiet, peaceful spot to park our camper for a few days while exploring the surrounding area (day trips to Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Saugatuck Dunes State Park, etc). Lots of sandhill cranes flying over in the mornings. Hosts were responsive. As previous reviews have mentioned, the bathroom may or may not be operational. Will want to confirm this or plan on being self sufficient for bathroom & water needs.

Has anybody ever seen the moon rise on the horizon, like literally come out of the ground? I experienced this on our stay at this hipcamp, and to me that is unique. I communicated with Kim on the experience with the “delicate septic issue” and being the owner of a septic system I understand the challenges. Kim attempted to find a Porta potty for use during our stay but was unsuccessful. I believe that this could solve the bathroom issue’s we had. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and stargazing and the moon rising into the sky.

This site was pretty accommodating. Access to a shower and toilet was certainly nice. Toilet kept clogging. The picnic table area was also very nice. Kim supplied the wood.

A feeling of seclusion and privacy in a beautiful grassy setting. Loved watching the swallows in the evening and having a fire (with firewood provided - thank you!). 15 minutes away from the beach. Thanks for making our trip unique!

The site was quiet and had a nice view of a corn field on one side. The area of an old house that offered use of a bathroom and shower we were not comfortable using due to the state it was in. The host was kind and helped us with the directions.

Great place to tent camp! Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but 15 minutes from nice beaches. Good people, easy going and nice to work with - we had 2 pups with us that enjoyed it as well. Would love to revisit some time in the future.

This is a wonderful camp site with a flushing toilet, shower, fire-pit and wood all on site. Close to beaches on Lake Michigan. Great hosts and a lovely, flat camp site. Highly recommend.

We loved staying at Kim’s ! She was there when we arrived and directions were super clear. The grasses were high and the wildflowers were everywhere and we slept under the trees watching the storm and lighting come off the lake … what a view. Fortunately we did get a little campfire time ! Thanks Kim !

One night stay. The shower came in clutch on suck a hot night. Kim is super communicative and the area ain’t too hard to find. Message Kim when you’re in the way and she will make sure you don’t miss the driveway!

This site was great. The access to the flush toilet was really nice for the few days we were there. The site has a big firepit and plenty of room for tents. We also really appreciated having the firepit close to the open sided barn. It made it easy to stay out of the sun and would be great if it happened to rain. The site next to some tall grass prairie and is nice and open.

Great place to stay! An overgrown farm with a nice area mowed by a fireplace and pavilion. Quiet. Did not get to see the sunrise but, maybe next time! The added bonus of a bathroom was awesome and a bundle of firewood (We didnt use because We were to tires lol) was wonderful! Thank You for the pleasant stay!!

We enjoyed this quiet, peaceful, gorgeous, country spot in our van. Site is just off a very quiet country road, seemingly open gravel and grassy space, yet private and deserted feeling. This spot backs up to farm buildings and structures shown in listing to the west and north, with natural country views to the south and east. The sunrise gift over the eastern cornfield was amazing. Our fellow campers felt this spot was the quietest they’d experienced all summer. We were well cared for by our hosts via prompt emails, but given full autonomy and privacy. Lots of space as we booked both sites with friends. Extremely peaceful. Thank you, Kim! We will be back!❤️

We loved our Grass Lily van-camp night. This spot is an open grassy gravel space great for our van. It backs up to western and northern farm buildings and structures with natural views to the south and east. Feels quite open just off the road, and close to buildings. yet incredibly quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. A sunrise gift over cornfield just across the quiet country road graces this space. Small building with water and bathroom are no more than 100 ft. from fire pit. Hosts were kind and very responsive via email with home just behind the farm buildings yet we felt a sense of space, total privacy and autonomy. A friendly little dog visited us and made us happy, then he was gone. Thank you, Kim, for giving us a lovely experience during our beach weekend. We will absolutely look forward to returning.❤️
