Backcountry Camping

Booked 2 times
Tent site · Sleeps 2
Sacred Sound Center Backcountry Camping For the wild-hearted camper, this backcountry option lets you wander into the forest and choose your own tucked-away sanctuary among the trees. With over 10 acres of wooded land, you can hike in and set up camp wherever the land calls to you—just outside the designated sites of the treehouse, yurt, or drive-in clearing. This is true off-grid camping: raw, peaceful, and deeply connected to nature. Guests park in the first forest clearing and use a wheelbarrow to transport gear down the winding trails. The land is gently sloped in places, with mossy patches, tall oaks, and flat clearings that make excellent tent spots. Once you’ve found your perfect nook, settle in for a night under the stars, with owls calling and crickets humming. This option includes access to shared amenities: a composting outhouse, a freshwater refill station near the yurt area. Firewood bundles are available for $10 (five pieces). Please pack in and pack out your trash, keep food sealed (raccoons are clever!), and honor quiet hours beginning at 10pm. Acoustic music and gentle fires are welcome until 11pm unless other arrangements are made. This site is ideal for those who value solitude, rewilding, and connection to the land. It’s rustic, real, and absolutely magical. $25 per tent · Includes up to 2 adults and 2 children.

The Forest Clearing

Booked 1 time
RV/tent site · Sleeps 12 · Vehicles under 35 ft
Sacred Sound Center Forest Clearing Campsite Nestled at the edge of the woods, this open, sun-dappled clearing offers easy drive-in access with all the beauty of immersive forest camping. Surrounded by tall trees, singing birds, and flickering lightning bugs at dusk, it’s a welcoming place to pitch your tent or settle your RV, enjoy a crackling fire, and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. This site is vehicle-accessible—no hiking required. Just pull into the first clearing on the right as you enter the driveway, taking care to leave space for the labeled Backcountry Parking Spots nearby. The ground is mostly flat and partially shaded, making it ideal for tents, RVs, or car camping setups. A power pole with a long extension cord is available for camper use or charging devices. You’ll have your own private fire ring and composting outhouse, along with access to the shared outdoor water spigot near the yurt, just a short walk down the path. A 2.5-gallon water jug is provided to get you started, and refills are easy to access. Firewood bundles are available on-site for $10 (5 pieces). Evenings here are mellow and reverent, with quiet hours starting at 10pm. Acoustic music and storytelling around the fire are welcome until 11pm unless other arrangements have been made. Please honor the stillness of the land and the peace of fellow guests. While there’s no on-site shower, a beautiful swimming spot is just 1–2 miles up the dirt road—perfect for a morning bike ride or a sunset dip. A creek meanders within walking distance, and wooded trails wind throughout the property for quiet exploration. Wildlife is part of the experience—especially raccoons—so please store food securely in containers. Bug activity varies by season, so check the forecast and bring what you need to feel comfortable. This site is perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers who want the ease of drive-in camping with the magic of forest seclusion. Children and pets are welcome with care and mindfulness. Come ground, rest, and be held by the land.

Treehouse Getaway

Booked 4 times
Treehouse · Sleeps 8 · 1 bedroom · 1 bed
Tucked down a winding forest path, this secluded site offers a soulful, off-grid escape into the woods. Campers can sleep in the cozy treehouse or pitch a tent nearby on shaded, flat forest floor—surrounded by trees, quiet, and the call of owls at night. This is a rustic, peaceful retreat for those craving stillness, nature, and space to breathe. There’s no car access to the site itself, but it’s a short walk from the parking area, which is clearly marked Treehouse Getaway Parking. A wheelbarrow is available to carry your gear, and the treehouse has a pulley system for lifting things up. Cot and sleeping pads are available, and a tent may be provided with advance notice. The treehouse is a special part of the experience—wooden, elevated, and completely off-grid. If you plan to use it, a signed liability waiver is required, and candles (if used) must be supervised with the utmost care. At the site, you’ll find a private fire pit, an outdoor kitchen with a propane cooking stove, sink, food prep area, small table, and a comfy wicker chair. A 2.5-gallon jug of water is provided (refill access is near the car), and additional firewood is available for $10 per 5-piece bundle. Evenings are mellow, with quiet hours beginning at 10pm, though acoustic music is welcome around the fire until 11pm unless other arrangements are made. The site is pitch black at night—there’s no power—so bring headlamps and candles (with care). Cell service is minimal, so it’s a perfect chance to unplug. Composting toilet access is near the parking area, and while there’s no shower, a swimming spot is just 1–2 miles up the dirt road (bikable), and a creek is within walking distance. Trails lead through the woods, and kayaks may be available for access by arrangement. Wildlife is part of the experience—especially curious raccoons—so food must be stored in the blue tub provided. Bugs may be active depending on the weather, so check the forecast and decide whether to tent or treehouse it that night. Kids and pets are welcome, with mindfulness. This is a space for respect, quiet joy, and connection to the land.
