Sleep to the sound of tree frogs, owls, distant coyotes, and maybe even wake to sounds of chickens in the morning. Walk thru a glitter of fire flies down a trail at night. My black lab Luke will likely visit your site to say hello and is super chill. 2 disc golf Black Hole Pro baskets on site to practice with. Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented. Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away. Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac) Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from. If woods or open shows booked already, please contact me. Additional fee of $20 per extra tent/camper that sleeps an adult. Picnic shelter is also available. Use my website to RSVP entire camp area for an event such as wedding.

Open Areas

First family camping trip

We took our first family camping trip at Life Adventures, and overall had a wonderful time. We chose the Woods camping area, and found a great site that was large and allowed us to pitch our tent and a separate screened shelter tent. The site was rustic, but easy to pull in our vehicle to unload. The trails around the property were great for exploring for our young daughter. We observed tree frogs and a buck as we walked the trails. The owner's dogs were very friendly and our daughter enjoyed their company during our visit. We had the whole camping area to ourselves the last day, giving us seclusion. There were plenty of local restaurant options and stores to visit in the towns in the area.

I liked the privacy and space all around. The bathroom / shower facilities were clean and better than I've seen in state campgrounds. Only one other person was there, so I feel like I had the place to myself. The owner does a great job with maintenance. Just a suggestion: It's really remote farm country so I would ask the owner to post a phone number at the time of booking. Luckily, I was able to stop a motorist who guided me when Google maps began to re-route me.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet. There was no loud people ,no over crowded sites. We will be going again and tell our friends and family about Stephen's wonderful camp grounds.

10x12 Cabin M

I was just looking for a tent spot while in town for a disc golf event and came across this site. Cabin M has an A/C box unit, lights, short-mini fridge, and hotplate (request). Those are more amenities than my tent, however, as this is a shack in the woods, you will share this space with spiders and any bugs you let in. I stayed here for a week with my Labrador and it's exactly what I thought it would be. Kiwi is a good pup who will be your friend no matter what and Luke is a very very good old boy. The property has space to stretch out, especially on weekdays, including disc golf baskets.
