I stayed in S cabin (8x10). Very basic with futon, microwave, small fridge, electricity. Great covered porch. Make sure to bring a fitted sheet and bedding.
Facilities are about 100 meters away. They could use a nice cleaning, but does the job.
Beautiful trails and plenty of wood.

Was the perfect place to relax and unwind! If you love nature in it's truest form this is the place had Luke as a companion for a couple nights great guest dog ....even waited for my wife outside of the restroom and walked her back to camp. Cabin was clean and cozy just used it for sleeping which was great not having to put up a tent and deal with the rainy nights. Stephen was a great host came by by respectfully to see if we needed anything and ask how our stay was going.

Stephen was kind and allowed us to change the camp site from woods to open spot.
Open spot was perfect on a clear sunny day. Now I know why it was voted for best campsite. Dog Luke was with us for the entire night and watched over us. Bathroom was near but they weren’t kept up that was the only concern. But might be due to beginning of the season.
All in all it was a great stay, surrounding area was well kept and nature-filled.

Great place, especially for the price. Well maintained, pretty clean. Bathrooms and showers available. Firewood is $5 for a bundle. The dog came to check on us, such a friendly fellow. Will come back.

Great place to camp! Easy accessible location, clean accomodations, firewood ready to buy on site, friendly dogs on property add to the experience. Stephen is a friendly and very helpful host. My family and I plan to stay again soon!

Stephen's property is of exceptional beauty, a perfect blend of ruggedness and civilization. You can select the level of "do not disturb", as you wish. The cabins do not possess water, but a bathhouse with showers and toilet facilities are available.
Two exceptionally friendly canine companions are responsible for the property's security, allowing your dog to relax.

Nice property. Peaceful. Plenty of shade. There’s two black labs that are very friendly. Owner is very friendly. We stay in the general parking area/rustic. There’s water on site to fill your holding tank. It’s a win-win for me and my family. This is our second trip and we will be back next year.

our first night we had to sleep in our truck due to the cabin being locked and no answer from the host on the code, then we were in bed and noticed he was peeking in our windows, then he came by and accused us of stealing his dogs food and water dish, and after we left he accused us of not only trashing his place but also stealing from him again, after we went out of our way to nor only clean the cabin but take care of some dead trees and weeds.

This was by far the best place we have ever been to! The host gave us 2 free nights at a incredible place with showers, electric,disc golf trails swimming very close and for 20 bucks. We are dreading tomorrow when we leave

Really enjoyed our time on Stephen’s land. Sites were spacious and we loved all the walking paths and so did our dogs. Dogs off leash was a real bonus as well. Owners dogs Kiwi and Luke hung with us most of the time and got along great with our three Cattle dogs. But we felt guilty when feeding our dogs so they got fed as well, kiwi is very food motivated. We had rented Cabin M but didn’t use it except for electrical and covered picnic table outside. Would definitely recommend this place. Far enough off the beaten path but close enough to drive and get a pizza!!

Stephen’s property is a little hidden gem. Campsites are spacious and nicely spread apart. The cabins are pretty basic with only a fridge, microwave and bed but having electricity and a roof is very nice. There are showers and bathrooms and water taps for washing up and firewood is available with lots of branches around the property in a pinch. Fresh egg delivery is an added bonus! There is a large open space behind the camp area that is perfect for dog runs or stargazing and a few mowed walking trails around the property. There are 2 very chill camp dogs Luke & Kiwi who like to hang around the campfire and will happily accompany you on a walk. Having them around does make it feel extra secure- even tho
the area around camp is very quiet The camp is located about 15 mins from Ionia with all the groceries and amenities you could need an a nice little downtown with a few antique shops and restaurants.
There are lots of nature trails nearby and easy access to the Grand River.

We took our first family camping trip at Life Adventures, and overall had a wonderful time. We chose the Woods camping area, and found a great site that was large and allowed us to pitch our tent and a separate screened shelter tent. The site was rustic, but easy to pull in our vehicle to unload. The trails around the property were great for exploring for our young daughter. We observed tree frogs and a buck as we walked the trails. The owner's dogs were very friendly and our daughter enjoyed their company during our visit. We had the whole camping area to ourselves the last day, giving us seclusion. There were plenty of local restaurant options and stores to visit in the towns in the area.

I liked the privacy and space all around. The bathroom / shower facilities were clean and better than I've seen in state campgrounds. Only one other person was there, so I feel like I had the place to myself. The owner does a great job with maintenance. Just a suggestion: It's really remote farm country so I would ask the owner to post a phone number at the time of booking. Luckily, I was able to stop a motorist who guided me when Google maps began to re-route me.

I was just looking for a tent spot while in town for a disc golf event and came across this site. Cabin M has an A/C box unit, lights, short-mini fridge, and hotplate (request). Those are more amenities than my tent, however, as this is a shack in the woods, you will share this space with spiders and any bugs you let in.
I stayed here for a week with my Labrador and it's exactly what I thought it would be. Kiwi is a good pup who will be your friend no matter what and Luke is a very very good old boy. The property has space to stretch out, especially on weekdays, including disc golf baskets.

We came to Adventure Land and set up camp in the open area. It was nice to be near the bathrooms, though they weren’t kept up. Stephen was nice enough to let us borrow a couple tables so that was awesome. The trails were fun to walk and it was nice to visit the state park nearby. The friendly doggos Kiwi and Luke were very friendly. The only thing was that they are very food motivated, so we had to be on watch 24/7 because they would get into our garbage. We brought our own dogs and they got along great, it was once again hard to feed our dogs because Kiwi and Luke were always on it. They also stayed with us all night and would sleep outside by our tents at night. They did make noise walking around our tents constantly, we felt bad they were out all night. Regardless, we had a fun time and would definitely come again! The fresh eggs were a nice addition and there was plenty of wood around for fires.
