Easy camping in a great location
I’ll be returning next Summer for sure! The perfect location close to all my favorite beaches, Glen Arbor and Leland. The campsite was private enough yet still close to the drinking water and my vehicle. The wood-chips are surprisingly convenient for tents and easy kindling for the campfire. The firewood stack at each site was also nice. The stars were amazing.

Absolutely lovely and refreshing stay at Jackson Station. The campsites are well maintained, private, and sizeable. Raquel was very communicative. The farm animals were a great feature and gave us a fun walk to do every day. Plentiful wood and other amenities provided. Big recommend from us!

Beautiful escape in the evergreens
Beautiful camp nestled in the evergreens. Raquel stopped by once to say hello, offer a map with local attractions and invite us to meet their livestock. Three other groups of campers were enjoying the property while we were there, but we could neither see nor hear them—a wonderful private (COVID) escape for our family. Top three attractions: the night sky (unbelievable!), the chickens who stopped by to say hello on Sat am, and the congenial American Redstart who kept us company.

Great experience.
Staying here was a great experience. . Four campsites in a scenic stand of Spruce trees. There is tree cover between sites for privacy. Everything was very neat/clean - wood chips were a great touch and kept dirt to a minimum. Across the camp area were cows and pigs & a vegetable garden along the fence line. A chicken even wandered into my campsite. Very charming. Already planning my next stay.

Raquel was an excellent host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. The sites are well maintained and spread out so you're not right on top of any other campers. Raquel and her kids were gracious enough to show us around their farm; we loved learning more about their livestock! Easy to find, centrally located for day trips, and beautiful Northern Michigan surroundings- what's not to love?

Raquel’s farm was beautiful! The sites were ringed by pine trees and were nicely secluded. The farm fresh eggs were delicious ($5/dozen). It was amazing drinking our morning coffee while walking through the pines next to the cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens. The animals were a little loud in the morning but not too bad - bring some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. We were apprehensive about the Portapotty but it was fine and well maintained. Oh - and they had a tomato surplus when we were there so Raquel gave us the ok to grab a few straight from the vine - they were great. Raquel gave us some pointers for hikes and sites to watch the sunset. All in all a great experience and would recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jackson Station. It's perfectly located, just a few miles away from the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Raquel gave us excellent hiking + swimming tips and we loved sleeping amongst the pines and stargazing on the farm. Highly recommend. We hope to return next summer!

My boyfriend and I had a really great stay at Raquel's campsite! The land was beautiful and we loved visiting the animals on her farm. Raquel was super responsive and friendly (even providing us with some recommendations for hiking trails in the local area), and I would absolutely stay there again if I make the trip up again in the future. Everything exceeded my expectations and I would totally recommend this stay to another person!

What a wonderful stay!
Raquel's campsite was *wonderful* — from the soft woodchip ground that made it easier to set-up and kept us drier from the rain, to the private location set away about 25 feet in the woods from the common space. The price was affordable, the space was well-kempt, and the location itself was ideally located close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, and even a short (though slightly longer) drive to Traverse City. Raquel was also incredibly helpful, providing local suggestions of less-traditional places to see, which we appreciated very much. Thanks for a wonderful camping experience!

We had a great stay in camp site number 4. The sites are all near each other, but there is thick woods between each site and they all have a long driveway to make them as private as possible. The farm animals were a unique feature that we enjoyed. 10/10 would recommend Jackson Station to a friend.

A dreamy stay!
Raquel and her family were. absolutely wonderful. Given the status of the world right now, it was really exceptional to have a private, clean campsite just off of their amazing working farm. Super close to town and multiple places to swim. Raquel was helpful with suggestions when we needed them. Fresh produce & firewood on site was a total dream. We are very much already planning a return next year to rent all four sites for some safe distanced celebration! A lovely oasis. Thanks so much!

Among the pines...
Jackson Station Leelanau is a great place to camp. The fresh veggies, eggs, and potable water were a bonus. Even though we were in one of four camp sites close to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and small coastal towns, at times I felt we were backpacking in the deep woods on the northern end with of the Appalachian Trail among the pine trees. The site was quiet (except for my kids). Raquel and her family were welcoming and responsive to any and all questions we had. They were outstanding hosts! Thank you!!

Jackson Station was a great experience! Each campsite feels very secluded... little camping nests amongst pine trees out of sight of others. There was firewood available for a very reasonable purchase, and eggs, tomatoes (best I’ve had in Michigan), kale and basil. The access to the farm animals was wonderful, and it’s clear these are well cared for stock. The property was close to Glen Arbor (about 12 mins) and Sleeping Bear Dunes. A great place if you want to disappear at your site, or find a great beach, trail or quaint shop for a break. Highly recommend and we will return!

Awesome, but ask ??s and get a map.
The land was beautiful, farm animals were great, great access to everything. Before booking make sure to confirm the "lake you can bathe in" is open. It was closed when we were there so we bathed in a couple questionable, but beautiful lakes before being warned about "lake itch". Thankfully, we made it out fine, but make sure you get a map and orientation from hosts upon your arrival if possible. After we did, it was smooth sailing. Also, be ready to get rustic cuz you will likely not want to use the port a potty that you can smell from feet away.
This was an awesome experience for the price, I would book again with the knowledge I have now and a little more prepararion. Beautiful, land, beautiful area, UH-MAZING stars at night.
