Nestled in the heart of nature, our campground offers spacious RV sites with full hook-ups, as well as cozy tent sites for those who prefer a more rustic experience. We're situated on the shores of beautiful Indian Lake just a short drive from the Manistique area. Located directly on Michigan’s third largest inland lake, Indian Lake RV Resort provides the opportunity for plenty of swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing during your stay with us. With nearby attractions such as Kitch-iti-kipi, Indian Lake Golf Course, Stoney Point Golf Course, The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Tahquamenon Falls, Fayette State Park, TWO Great Lakes (Michigan and Superior), and more within driving distance, our park provides you and your family the perfect spot to spend your vacation and see all the U.P. has to offer. Come relax and unwind with us at Indian Lake RV Resort and Campground! Hiking For those looking for an easy stroll, the Dufour Creek Trail is a perfect place to go. There is little to no elevation gain on the trail. The path is on the shorter side, measuring in at 1.4 miles. The Dufour Creek Trail is generally well-kept, though there can be a few muddy sections when it rains. The path leads through a forest of hemlocks and cedars, fully wooded yet easy to follow. You may also get a glimpse of the native wildlife along the way. Swimming Perhaps the biggest feature of the entire park is the designated swimming beach. The beach remains very popular with guests, due in part to the clean, sandy shoreline as well as the vast, cordoned-off swimming area filled with shallower waters. There are restrooms and showers on site, which also have a reputation for being clean and well-kept. Fishing Indian Lake in Michigan features large swaths of underwater vegetation, making this area a great place for fishing. This is especially true if you are looking for panfish, as you can expect to see plenty of species like bluegill, crappie, and the like. However, there are plenty of other kinds of fish available, including Walleye, Perch, Brown trout, Rock bass, Smallmouth bass, and Northern pike. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to cast your line, whether on the shore or out on the water. Boating Getting out onto the lake can be a peaceful experience. You won’t feel cramped, even when sharing the lake with others as there is plenty of room for everyone. With clear water beneath you and great weather, boating at Indian Lake makes for a great pastime.The lake is fairly shallow, with 90% of the area being less than 15 ft deep. The deepest point is 18 ft. Owners of larger boats should keep this in mind when traversing the lake. If you are looking for water access for paddle sports such as kayaking, there is a carry-on access located at Indian Lake State Park at the Western Shore Unit. Local Eats: One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the culture of a new place is to dive into the local foodie scene and Manistique will not disappoint. Here are a few of the best restaurants, pubs, and local eats in downtown Manistique. - Clyde’s Drive-in - This local dive was straight out of the Movie Grease. Clyde’s has been a resident favorite for years. When you stop by, try some unique staples like the Bison Burger, a Big C Burger with Cheese, or a Pasty with gravy. - Dairy Kream - This local ice cream shop is the perfect pitstop during your vacation to the waterfront district. Dairy Kream has a delectable menu of ice cream including 24 soft-serve flavors, shakes, malts, splits, flurries, and sundaes for every type of ice cream fanatic. - Tap 21 - This American pub in Mansitique serves delicious and indulgent bar favorites like pizza, appetizers, wraps, burgers, garlic cheese curds, and bruschetta. Be sure to pair it with a cold and frothy, local beer. The campground was clean and provided a very warm feeling. We were in Spot #38 and I think it was the very BEST spot to be in. We had a direct view of Indian Lake with no obstructions. We were able to park next to a platform deck which made getting into and out of our camper easier. The folks were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. In fact, another camper showed up after the office was closed. We were able to give them the phone number to call and they were able to get a spot to set up their tent. Bathrooms and showers were clean. There is also laundry service available. This is pet friendly as they accepted our dog with no issues.

This is one of the most beautiful and picturesque sites we have ever stayed at! So private as well! Not to mention very close to the beach! We will definitely stay here again!

The septic hook up is above ground, way to high for most to drain. The tunnels were in the way of everything and the dirt tracked everywhere. The campground was clean, sites small and packed in. Bathroom and shower could use more attention.

Great place with clean showers, good location, silence in the nighttime and access to the lake right from the campsites. The front office is super helpful, and campsite is easy to find. We camped in tents and drove to Pictured Rocks twice (1 hour drive but so worth it!).

What a wonderful getaway! The host was so kind, we brought our own kayaks but forgot life jackets and were able to borrow some no extra charge (you can rent kayaks) the beach was a nice area for my kids to enjoy for hours on end, located around everything we wanted to see while vacationing.

This is the biggest site. Quiet location and clean beach area. Full hookup is available as well as pull through sites. We will recommend to friends. We did not use them, but there are showers and a laundry area.

It was a wonderful stay, tent sites are on the smaller side so we switched to site 51 since we had kiddos, giving us a site on the end made it better for us. The hosts were accommodating, flexible, and kind! The waterfront was beautiful, I do wish they allowed dogs on the beach since it’s a dog friendly campground, but we made it work taking turns going down to the beach and staying with the dog! The WiFi was excellent, restrooms were tidy and well maintained (daily), we even got to ride the kayaks! They rent them out free of charge!

Loved our stay at Indian Lake! We chose site #44 and it had a beautiful view of the lake. There were a few other campers there but it was very quiet and peaceful. Definitely will be back!

WIFI WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT. THE LAKE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT DIDNT GO IN. OUR SITE WAS NEXT TO THE BATH HOUSE. MANY SPOTS TIGHT BUT CHANGED FOR LAST NIGHT TO SPOT 2 WHICH HAD WIFI AND A VIEW OF LAKE. ALEX THE RECEPTIONIST IS SO HELPFUL AS WAS LISA.

I enjoyed my stay. I’ve been on the road for a month, and wanted a chance to relax and reorganize my van. I took advantage of the laundry room and got caught up on laundry. Host was very nice and communicated well. Slept great, would stay again.

I can't comment to if I would recommend​ site #44 because we did not get to stay in that spot I reserved online that morning. Site #44 was given away to another couple before we checked in. It looked like a wonderful spot, beautiful view of the entire lake. We were places on a small lot across from the spot we chose, up against a fence. I wouldn't have minded so much about the confusion except I paid extra for the lake front site and was not reimbursed for their mix up. The camp office offer us free kayak rentals for the mistake on their end but our weekend was already pretty booked with other activities we planned. I would have preferred the difference be applied back to my card, which she never offered. On a Happy Note: It is a cute little campground with wonderful views of Indian Lake. At night it is VERY VERY QUIET, especially after Quiet Time 10:30. The bathroom/shower house was exceptionally clean. The grounds were well kept. The tent sites up by the grassy area, on the side, near the lake could be larger. It was a tight fit with our (2 room) tent, fire pit and picnic table on the small site. All in all not a bad campground... small, cute, quiet and clean!! Make sure you call to confirm the desired site you booked online. ;)
