Hosting May 22 -Nov 2nd. My husband Dan and I purchased this property 5 years ago and have totally restored the land, home and barn from its prior condition. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana. The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk. Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor. Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries. There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes. A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive. We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay. We currently have two sites which are on opposite sides of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Both sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. Both sites are Air Conditioned as well

This site features an obstructed view of lake Skegemog as well as spectacular sunsets. The RV is a vintage 1985 Avion which has been beautifully restored and updated. Avion travel trailers were very high end units and were on par ( some would argue better) with Airstreams. Avions were made in Benton Harbor Michigan. The site is located on the back side of our home, next to our deck and berry patch. Privacy at this site is shared with the Hosts.

Maple Grove site is located at the front of our property close to our stand of sugar maples. These trees provide hundreds of gallons of sap every year which we boil down to syrup. The RV is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination Tiny Home series. Much like a tiny house this unit has sleeping quarters in two loft areas which are accessed by tiny home style steps on main loft and a ladder for secondary loft. Main loft has king bed, closets/shelving and an electric fireplace. Secondary loft has a queen size mat. Both loft areas have reduced height ceilings consistent with most tiny style homes. Living area has a main room with 270 degrees of view, sofa, recliner, and a storage bench that lifts up to provide table space as well as a smart TV with internet connection. The kitchen is fully outfitted with sink, gas range and oven, convection microwave, residential French door refrigerator, countertop dishwasher, and combination washer/dryer. The bathroom has sink, full shower and ceramic stool with storage and closet space. The entry of the unit has a small covered deck area with lighting, music, two chairs and small end tables perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink.
