The property is beautiful, quiet and surrounded by a dense forest. Guests have access to Indian Lake, and the lakefront has a lovely dock and double swing.
We "glamped" in the climate controlled, fully furnished cabin, and enjoyed the luxury of a clean bath and operational kitchen.
Firewood was inexpensive and accessible and the grounds managers were helpful and polite, but really gave us our privacy.

The campground was absolutely perfect. The cutest strip of land with one of the best views of the lake. We had a full hookup and were taken very good care of! We will be back in the summer to swim!

My boyfriend and I decided to have a last minute mini vacation and this was the perfect spot. Nice campsite, very nice bathroom/shower. Very nice hosts. We stayed in our tent but will be coming back for sure and check out the cabin there with our kids. It was awesome that it’s only a few minutes away from kitch-iti-kipi.

First time booking through Hipcamp so my partner and I had no idea what to expect, but we really enjoyed our stay! Hosts were very friendly and gave plenty of recommendations about the area, and the campsite was conveniently located near many of the tourist attractions in the area. Everything was very clean and well-maintained and was overall a great experience!

This land was so beautiful! It was clean, well stocked with necessities (the bathroom/shower was SO NICE!), and with the private access to the lakefront, it was so lovely!

The cabin was cozy, clean and tidy.
Elli’s also provided dishes, coffee, tea and ice cold fridge and space heaters. Thank goodness, the heaters were perfect for our 56 degree rain filled days!
Coming from Milwaukee WI, It was great for the peace and quiet we needed.
Beautiful little place we absolutely recommend.

I met Kim. She was very friendly and accommodating. The full hook up lot was just as expected and more. We didn’t have an adapter for I believe it was 50amp electric, but we were able to borrow one with a $20 deposit. Our stay was nice and quiet. The area was extremely beautiful, we would stay again! Thank you for your hospitality 🥰

Excellent hosts, clean bathroom, beautiful view & quiet campers. Our only complaint was being placed in the round about site where neighbors were walking around our tent all night and disturbing our dog. Otherwise great water access and dirt road for dog walks. On leash only.

Ellis resort is definitely a recommended stay :) Upon arrival I have never booked through this app before so if you are used to sparse campsites this is definitely something different. All the sites are very close, the outhouse was very close and clean as well which was great, the lake and dock was just a short walk from our site and Big Spring (Kitch-Iti-Kipi) is only a 5 minute drive. There was a group in the cabin playing rock music quite loud past quiet hour (12am) but it wasn't a huge deal. Elli (the st. bernard) was absolutely adorable and very friendly. I did not bring pets but I would definitely in the future. Tons of wildlife in the area, saw deer right by our sight as well as turkeys, etc. Overall a lovely place!

I loved it. After a long drive, being able to pull up and sleep on very comfortable beds was wonderful. The lake is beautiful and the whole area was quiet and convenient. I can’t wait to tell others.

Very friendly people and a nice place to stay! $5 for a hefty size stack of wood and they brought it directly to our sight for us! They have a nice beach area with some areas to hang out at.

Elli's is a nice little campground with shower and full toilet, also a few port-a-potty type restrooms. We stayed just one night but the owners had about 30-40 of their best buds there for an Independence Day celebration. They shared their bbq with us, and sang karaoke into the night. They also set off quite a fireworks show! They were very generous to let us be part of their festivities. There's water access on a very small stretch of beach. Friendly staff and plenty of space for everyone. There is also a fun little playground for kiddos.

The campsite had a very open layout. On the plus side, there were minimal bugs. On the downside, there was minimal shade. The sites seemed well set up for RVs. There was one bathroom with running water and two outhouses. There was one shower. The facilities (even the outhouses) were clean and there was always warm water, toilet paper and paper towels. Sometimes people needed to wait to use the shower or bathroom. On our site we had lots of space. We fit our pop-up camper and our daughter's tent, a screen tent over the picnic table and another cooking tent, plus two vehicles, and still had space to sit around the fire ring, toss the frisbee, etc. Next to the bathroom there was a small playground for kids, and it was a very short walk to Indian Lake, right down the driveway. At the lake there was a small sandy beach area, and easy access to put in our kayaks and paddle around. There was a dock with a ladder, to enter the lake where it had a sandy bottom, or one could easily walk over the rocks at the shoreline and reach the sand. The lake was shallow for quite a distance from the shore. Camp hosts were friendly.
The campsite didn't seem to have traditional quiet times at night during our stay, which made it hard to camp with a toddler.
The site is a short drive to Manistique and Lake Michigan's sandy shore, and only about an hour to Lake Superior and Pictured Rocks.

Tent camping here was so so pleasant! We had a nice space to ourselves with a nice picnic table and fire pit! My daughters and I were very grateful for the cleanliness of the bathroom and shower house! We had a great time relaxing at the site with our dog, and those managing the property were very friendly and happy to share their favorite spots nearby! Great location, clean, quiet, and super peaceful!
