Camping site on the hill
Beautiful piece of land and lovely hosts.
There was a bit of a heat wave going on so Phill suggested a shady area under a big old Osage orange tree at the edge of the site which was perfect.
He gave us a pamphlet they’d made about local attractions, some of which we checked out -great suggestions for sure. It made for a nice peaceful weekend getaway.

EarthColors farm is a fantastic property - the campsites are private with a great view, the hosts welcome you into their beautiful garden, there is a short trail, and they have just about every amenity you may need on site. Perfect for stargazing and listening to nature.

Loved camping here! The area was beautiful and peaceful. We had plenty of space at our site and Victoria was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. There was another couple camping at one of the other sites but we barely saw them because of the way the sites are laid out to have privacy. We loved seeing the sandhill cranes and hearing them calling. We would definitely come back to camp here again.

Victoria was so friendly! We loved the privacy and the abundant nature around. There were cranes enjoying the pond on the property the entire time. Many beautiful native plants on the path around. There even a toilet and outdoor shower!

Phill and Victoria were great hosts that have a serene property that has ton of activities in the nearby area. A friend of the couple provided a drone that captured the local area and the couple provided guests with those sightseeing details in beautiful and colorful welcome literature. There is an onsite toilet and shower facility and ample grounds to walk on. Large wood in a bundle is offered for $5 in a designated campfire area. The only downside was there is no onsite trash area and the wifi services are hard even with your own router. Victoria recommended going to the library in town for Internet access. The trash issue needs to be resolved. I would also like a power option to be extended to guests for $20-$30 per reservation. This would allow the couple to run a grounded power source from their dwelling to guests and the guests could plug up small devices. I am staying at a site now where the host offered electricity⚡ for only $20. He ran very long outdoor extension cords and added a three prong grounded green cord that can be used for 110 volts or up 10 amps.

Such a cute yet expansive piece of land just 7 minutes away from everything you need at Manchester, MI! Vickty and her husband take great care of this property. If you get a chance to chat with them, ask about their garden and their love for the arts!
There’s a portapotty and solar shower bag available. A well for clean water (but not sure yet for drinking!) Gorgeous winding grassy trail all about the property, tons of native Michigan flora and fauna to admire. The highlight of my camping stay was seeing a flock of sandhill cranes land in the distant pond. Beautiful!
My little maltipoo dog loved it here too. Lots of grass to roll around in and new smells to sniff. So peaceful, and on a clear night sky, you can see the Milky Way from here! I’ll definitely be back in the future, with an app to identify plants :)

We really liked camping here! Victoria was really nice and we bought some eggs from her and they were delicious. It’s not the most private spot and also there were lots of ticks so just bring bug spray but it was very relaxing and the land is very nice to walk around. We saw lots of cool plants and birds.

Amazing spot with a great variety of birds right at the camp sites. My husband and I only left the site to walk the trails at Watkins Lake, and we kept our binoculars on us our entire stay. The frogs at night are relaxing, and the farm fresh eggs are delicious. Victoria and Phil are great hosts, easy to
communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Victoria was very accommodating and a gracious host. Campers should be aware of the slopped campsites if you plan to stay there multiple nights, as well as the ticks can be above normal since it’s located in heavy tall grass, we camped there in early May. The atmosphere was great and the birds were majestic.

My wife and I loved camping at Earth Colors. It’s a beautiful property, mowed trails, ponds, small lakes, wetland critters, and the cleanest port a potty in three states. Phil and Victoria are great hosts and communicate well. We camped on The Hill. A large, mostly flat site overlooking the wetland area. It had a picnic table, fire area, and an elevated table that we used as a wash/dry station. Fire wood is for sale and water for washing and the like is available also. We will be back.

This is my second time at Earthcolors! Always a great stay! The porta potty amenities at this price are harder and harder to find. If you're looking to see some cool birds, this is a great place for it. I even saw some brown storks, which are protected in the area. My stay was peaceful and quiet. Book quickly, this place is constantly booked up on the weekends!

It is a beautiful spot, and the reports regarding the crazy clean porta-potty should definitely be believed; it even smells nice. We camped up above (near the potty) and the view of the pond and of the land below was stunning, especially at sunset. Our mission, stargazing, was well accommodated by clear, dark skies. And while the anticipated meteor shower was something of a letdown, as an added and unexpected surprise we were fortunate to witness a more modern display, courtesy of SpaceX. About two hours after sunset, the entire sky lit up with a long train of newly released satellites directly overhead, heading east. Still illuminated by the sun at roughly 200 miles above earth, it was literally like watching string lights being dragged across the heavens. If a spaceship had landed next to our car and little green creatures had hopped out to greet us, we could not have been more gob-smacked (well, maybe a little). Anyway, it was a most magical exclamation point to a wonderful overnight stay @ EarthColors!

I had a wonderful, relaxing night in my tent. Splashes of wildflowers, butterflies, a myriad of birds and frogs, but also easy to get to and surrounded by beautiful parks.
They let me use their wagon which really helped unload all my gear and the ports John was one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in.
I saw several herons, 2 egrets, and a rotating flock of sand hill cranes. All in one day. The feasting bats at sunset were just the perfect way to wind down the night while the swamp songs carried me off to sleep! 10/10

I loved the place. The owners were super kind. As soon as I completed the booking, I started receiving messages from them with lots of helpful information. We kept texting until I got there and they made sure I was all set. (Thank you!). The place is very clean, as described, and easy access from the main road. Camp site is conveniently located close to parking. Highly recommended.

Overall this isn't a bad camp. The host is really nice and shared from her wonderful garden most generously and her free range eggs were delicious and the views of the swamp were nice with plenty of nature to listen to.. However the camp sites are on a slope with very little flat ground. Ticks are everywhere so much its more then I've ever seen elsewhere. There was absolutely zero shade to cool down under, and the fire pit was dug into the ground so it wouldn't get much airflow so keeping the fire lit is a little difficult

Great friendly hosts. Their property is very beautiful and relaxing, and fresh eggs are available for purchase. Wood is also available for purchase which was nice. Very secluded and scenic spot. Definitely bring tick spray or wear long clothing to this site.

I have stayed here before and will return. The owners meet you when you arrive and make sure you are all set; and communicate well beforehand. The space is private and the bird sounds are wonderful. I even had a little opossum visit one morning.
