Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in west Michigan. This summer, prior to opening our indoor accommodations, we are welcoming campers to the property to use our facilities, have a preview of the property and buildings before they are officially open, and enjoy summertime in South Haven! We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there. The Bangor Train Station is a 12 minute drive and we can also help arrange pick up and drop off from there. This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome anyone looking for a more social and unique experience. This is a adult/traveler friendly environment and is not recommended for families or individuals looking for a private getaway. Who We Recommend This Stay To: ✔Budget Travelers ✔Large Groups ✔University Students ✔Van Lifers/Bus Lifers ✔Young Adults ✔J-1 Visa International Students ✔Car-Campers ✔Backpackers ✔Bike-Packers ✔Campers ✔Any And All Travelers There are indoor bathrooms (showers not open yet) and an indoor common area with a phone charging station, lockers for valuables (BYO lock), fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, pool table, clean water spigot and hose, board games, and seating. There is a lit outdoor picnic/bonfire space with yard games and a covered patio and seating area. If you have any questions regarding the space, shuttles, our children policies (16+ no need to ask), or your booking please don't hesitate to reach out. There are upgrades made to this area daily and the pictures and current amenities might not completely encapsulate all the features of our property. Extra Amenities: Kayak Rentals with Pick Up/Drop Off (if needed) - $30/person Electric Hookup for Camping Rig - $10/night We hope to see you soon!

We had an amazing experience tent camping at the SoHa Hostel! Nadia and the SoHa crew were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The grounds were peaceful and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxing night under the stars. The hostel's location is ideal—close to downtown South Haven and the beach, which made our stay even better. We loved the sense of community at SoHa and appreciated the cozy, laid-back atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable place to stay.

Everything went well at this place. The host are very helpful and offered a great meal which ended in a lovely night with the rest of the campers. Really great host and great place to camp

HipCamp is the SHIT!
Everything couldn't have been more perfect! We are "alone" campers, older, and set in our ways. Since we decided at the last minute to camp Labor Day Weekend, the State & National Parks were full up. That's how I discovered HipCamp. Nadia's "ad" came up first and we decided to step out of our comfort zone and check it out - actually interact with other campers! It was MARVELOUS! Fun dinners & campfires, good music, good talks. People from all over the country, and world, sitting together, drinking, laughing, everybody feeling good and no arguments of any kind! Nadia could NOT have been kinder or more welcoming. The indoor plumbing was a BIG PLUS! Also the coffee maker, microwave, fridge, and pool & ping pong tables. And if you're still a "lone" camper, the tents were far enough from each other so if you wanted solitude, you could have that too. The best of both worlds!

Extremely welcoming and friendly folks, we enjoyed the cookout and feeling community that accompanied. We couldn't recommend anyplace more highly, we'll definitely stay again in the future ❤️

I love this place and the vibes here! I was definitely skeptical as most probably are if you’re reading this, but for $15 you can’t beat it! The saying it’s too good to be true doesn’t apply with this deal. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again.
