Our stay at Camp Moonshadow was so enjoyable. It was a lovely place to spend time. The camp is centrally located to all things you want to do while in Sleeping Bear. So many amenities making our stay comfortable. Clean port-a-potties. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Camp Moonshadow was exactly what I was looking for! Just my dog and I wanted a fun labor day weekend up near Sleeping Bear Dunes, the camp was nearby the national lakeshore and a close drive to some of the small towns I wanted to check out. The outdoor shower was such a great amenity, and I met a few super nice campers at their communal fire pit. My favorite thing was setting up camp between the rows of pine trees, it was so picturesque. Will recommend to others!

We stayed here for one night and definitely would have stayed many more. Loved tent camping in the pine tree forest, the fire pit, and seeing some amazing stars. Would definitely come back and also would recommend it highly to anyone else.

Campsite was nice, very close to the beaches, and was peaceful. Showers were great, fire pit was nice, it took me a while to get it lit after a night of rain, but it all worked out!
I called Robb asking how to sign in, he called me within 10 minutes and was very nice and helpful.
Downside… it was not fun hauling our stuff up to our camp site from the parking. I pulled my car up as close as possible by the loading station whenever we were getting ready to leave to make it easier for ourselves.
All in all it was really nice weekend and our dogs had the time of their life!

Robb and Jeanne are extremely gracious hosts. Their property is beautiful and there are lots of on-site activities. They are conveniently located close to many different attractions. This was our second time staying with them and we hope to come back many more times!
Really enjoyed camping at a place that we can just enjoy the sounds of nature. It was a blessing to have the outdoor kitchen and the shower. It made our time there so much more pleasant. Hopefully this will be the first of many staying at Camp Moonshadow!

This sight was gorgeous. Plain and simple. We loved the amenities they provided and the care they have put into everything. We cannot wait to go back in the future.
Each year I lead a group of men from our church in a weekend of camping, hiking, and/or kayaking. I’ve led groups on South Manitou Island and in the Manistee National Forest. Robb’s campground was easily my favorite that I’ve experienced. Every one of the 23 guys on our church camping trip this year absolutely loved this campground. The trees make it especially beautiful. It is also very quiet, which is a plus. The facilities were extremely conducive to hanging out, eating together, and enjoying God’s creation. Robb is an exceptionally communicative host and offered suggestions for hiking. Highly, highly recommend.
Awesome location, Robb is the man! We will definitely make our way back here one day, such a cool place to stay!

We loved staying at camp moon shadow. Thoughtfully designed grounds and loved the outdoor heated shower! Robb came by to say hello and he was so welcoming. The outdoor communal kitchen was also a big plus!
This camp site is Well Maintained & Full of Family Fun Extras & Ammenities!
The games are fun - the basic but very functional kitchen is Great! The porta johns were kept nice and clean.
"Warning" that the walk in camping is up hill. We took a large tent and a decent amount of gear - I would be cautious if you were taking a large tent and a large cooler and a table Etc Yada Yada up to teh Amazing SItes.
Don't get me wrong - the site was quite - Beautiful - Pines - Not many if any mosquitos - very cool - Just I didn't really think walking in meant a climb and it took us a decent amount of trips so - fair warning - if you are used to drive in - unload and set up on a flat surface - be prepared for a Little climb of 75-125 feet up hill.
That being said they had a dolly wagon for us! So it was just a little more than a little exercise - but we'd do it again - if that makes sense?
If you are taking a smaller tent - it's like -Not even a Thing.
ALso we took too much Stuff because we could have done without a small cooker which we used only for coffee and the french press and so forth if we had actually trusted the reviews of teh ammenities.
They have Great ammenities!
We were just "dumb"-ish.
My daugter's first time - very family freindly and by design Amazing!

I went camping here for two nights with 3 of my siblings who are all now adults and we had the BEST time. The first night the rest of my family(who was staying at a place in Glen Arbor) were able to come to help us set up and even better that the community fire pit is on ground level by parking so my father who is handicap right now was able to join us for some s’mores. I also highly appreciated having bathrooms and a full kitchen and hot shower, made things go so smoothly when I wasn’t feeling up to it. The space is beautiful and welcoming. The campsite was really not that bad of a walk at all. Plus we ended up being the only ones renting at the time and we didn’t even know what to do with all the games and activities they had for us there. Robb made sure to stop by before our checkout and it was very considerate to meet our host and put a face to the name. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend!!
The campsite is very magical, unique, well appointed, clean and welcoming. As many other reviewers say, the hosts are friendly, supportive and responsive. We loved our stay and the surrounding areas- sleeping bear dunes, local beach and brewery, but mostly spending time on the peaceful grounds, playing games and hanging out at the fire pit and in the dining area. We would like to find a reason to stay here again.

The spots were very spacious and there weren’t too many other people at the time, so it felt very private and quiet and safe. The outdoors showers had wonderful, hot water and were in great condition. The amenities at Camp Moonshadow make family camping so easy! Having an outdoor kitchen and running water made clean up a breeze, the community fire pit was comfy and convenient with stocked firewood, and there were lots of fun outdoor games on the land for kids and adults to play together! A heated and beautiful private outdoor shower was another plus. We loved seeing the stars at night through the pines in our campsite. Very easy access to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and great communication from hosts.

We liked our stay so much that we wanted to add on another night. The place was well put together with plenty to have access to and everything you need. We had a good time playing with the yard games and our spot was so pretty with all the trees and land behind us. To tol it off the hosts where incredible. So friendly and accommodating. This place is a steal for the price. We want to come back!

We had a lovely time camping with our families! So convenient to have a camp kitchen with stove and cookware, and a covered dining area. Hot showers in the outdoor shower surrounded by beautiful trees were a plus! Our nephews loved having the outdoor games available and our campsite was quiet and pretty. Thanks for providing such a nice campground!
Pine Forest is perfect for Hammocking! Camp sites are close to unload location, & parking. Carts are provided for lugging gear up the path. Outdoor & indoor showers with hot water, kitchen with fridge; storage shelves, oven, & running water; Weber grill w/ provided charcoal,l; concrete fire pit w/ firewood; clean picnic tables & clean Port John's make this a near Glamping experience. Would love to stay for longer next time!
