BLUE LAKE HOPS and GARDENS is working Hops Yard plus FARM MARKET, FOOD TRAILER and MICHIGAN CRAFT BEVERAGE BIERGARTEN. In the midst of the MANISTEE NATIONAL FOREST, a mile from beach and picnic area on beautiful BIG BLUE LAKE with the WHITE RIVER, and five SUMMER CAMPS close by, THREE SITES are available sized to accommodate tent camping, Travel Trailer (EXCEPT 5th Wheels), and Class B and C RV"s. Each site is easily accessible, open and sunny for trailers and RV's with shaded areas for tenting. You will be in the woods adjacent to a open area working Hops Farm. Each site has a fixed in place fire-ring with cooking grate and 8-foot picnic table. Parking area, Food Truck, Biergarten and Farm Market are walk-able to on the property. Portable Toilet serviced weekly and potable water is central to the sites. Trash containers with trash bags are at each site. NO HOOK-UPS ARE AVAILABLE. Expect NO or LIMITED cellular service. One Travel Trailer or up to Three Tents accommodated per site. Sites are flat with moss/grass on sand terrain. One vehicle allowed on each site, parking lot for additional vehicles is available. This is a PEACEFUL AREA with loud music, noise and entertainment DISCOURAGED. QUIET HOURS ARE 11PM - 8AM DAILY. CONTINUOUS USE OF GENERATORS IS DISCOURAGED. Weather is typical for West Michigan with occasional winds and rain, we are on sandy terrain so ponding is very limited. WILDLIFE regularly includes Deer, Turkeys, Raccoons and Possum. Black Bear sightings are rare but not a common occurrence. NEAR-BY IS: GERBER SCOUT RESERVATION, Michigan Crossroads Council, Scouts BSA is across the road. BLUE LAKE PARK with BEACH 1 mile. OWASIPPE SCOUT RESERVATION, Pathway to Adventure Council, Scouts BSA 2 miles. DEREMO BOAT LAUNCH on Big Blue Lake 3 miles. PIONEER TRAILS CAMP, Pioneer Resources, Muskegon 3 miles. YMCA CAMP PENDALOUAN 3 miles. HAPPY MOHAWK CANOE LIVERY 4 miles. BLUE LAKE FINE ARTS CAMP 6 miles. GOLFING 9, 11, 13, 15 miles. WHITEHALL and MONTAGUE DOWNTOWN'S 11 miles. We had a great time camping here, the portapotty was clean, minimal mosquitoes, and a bundle of firewood was provided. The food truck was great too!

My partner and I had a wonderful time! There is lots of space and privacy. The lovely little Biergarten at the front was such a nice addition to be able to walk over to for drinks, food, and friendly conversations. Jim was an excellent host and is very kind. Our first night we decided to toss some turned ground beef and Jim hooked us up with some beef barbacoa for our walking tacos. (Which, let’s be honest, is much tastier than what we would have made) We will definitely be back in the future. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to camp, or even just a place to stop by for good beer, good food, and good people.

We loved our camping experience with Jim. The site was clean with access to a port a john and a trash can at the site. The Biergarten was beautiful with cold beer and great food. There was firewood on site to purchase and the fire pits came with grill racks. It was a great weekend and we’ll definitely be back!
