Family fun
Once again, we were beyond happy with everything! Our family had been looking forward to our weekend and we were not disappointed. There is, quite literally, something for everyone. Kevin and Lori are amazing hosts and go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. We will definitely be back!

What an incredible place Kevin and Lori have! They've literally thought of everything. We live only about an hour away, but it felt like we were worlds away with all the beautiful views. It was so relaxing and Kevin and Lori are very accommodating going above and beyond. We had a great time and hope to return again before the end of the summer.

Bear Paw was an unforgettable weekend. It offers endless things to do on the property and the hosts are clearly caring and goodhearted people. If you like nonpowered water activities, then Bear Paw is the place to stay.

Wonderful Family & Friends Camping
We can't say enough good things about our camping at Bear Paw. Kevin & Lori were so accommodating about every aspect. The lake was amazing for swimming and fishing. All the toys and games were provided. Only asking donations for worms and wood - sheer kindness and sharing their space. Thank you!

A Great family weekend
I loved staying here. It is a small campground with lots of things to do. Your kids will have a blast!. They have a pond for fishing 🎣 and swimming. You can use the zip line, or waterslide and even kayak. If you know of any small groups that like to camp, this would be a great place to go.

2nd time back and still love it. Beautiful pond that can be swam or fished in and very accommodating hosts. I would highly recommend staying at Bear Paw camp.

Our family (25ppl) enjoyed a wonderful stay at Bear Paw! Kevin and Lori are great hosts that looked out for our every need and went above and beyond any expectations! The pond, the toys and dragon train were the highlight for our grandchildren! We had the place to ourselves and it was wonderful to relax and allow the kids freedom to play and roam. The RV we rented was spacious, clean and very accommodating! Bathroom was awesome, firewood plentiful, and bait for fishing were a few extra that made it so nice!
5 stars or more for a wonderful experience!

We love coming to bear paw. The grounds are beautiful, private and spacious. So many fun things for the kids to do. They are already asking when we can come back. Kevin and Lori are the best and treat us like family. Such a relaxing time.

Father’s Day Camping Trip!
Wow!! What a great weekend we had! It was a Father’s Day treat for my husband and our 3 kiddos. Basically had the place to ourselves, and it was so much fun. My arms are feeling it today though, from the zip line into the waterhole (not your anymore, apparently lol). The hosts were exceptionally kind, accommodating and had very good vibes! We will definitely come back this summer, and many more to come.

The Best Family Camping Spot Ever
This was by far the best campsite we've ever stayed at. The land itself is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, but then Kevin and his wife Lori go above and beyond to make it even more memorable. We hadn't even finished one trip and everyone there was already looking up dates for the next trip!
If you are looking for a family friendly place with plenty of space for everyone, enough things to do so everyone stays busy, and memories that will last forever, this is it.
Kevin and Lori are amazing hosts with an incredible property and we are so grateful they allowed us to share it!!

Another amazing stay
2nd visit definitely won't be the last! Kevin and Lori just started sharing their beautiful property last year and it is amazing! They already made changes and upgrades since we were there Labor Day! It's an awesome place for group camping, especially with kids!

I loved the relaxing at home feel!! I could relax at the campsite while my kids ran around and played! There was something for everyone. Playground toys for the little kids. Zip line and slide into the pond! Everything was provided…worms to fish, life jackets , towels in the bathroom even swim suites if you forgot yours ! Kevin and Lori were both kind and wanted nothing more than for us to have an amazing time!! We will be back!

Family fun with gracious hosts
What an lovely place to stay! We had so much fun relaxing around the campfire, having epic squirt gun battles, going on the giant see-saw, and rambling through the woods. Our hosts were incredibly warm and generous with their time, even taking the time to teach our son to fish! We’ll be coming back as soon as we can.

Best family camping, hands down
We have 4 kids and our cousins have 4 as well. Bear Paw was the ideal place for our kids to play and for us to relax! There was so much to do, they were occupied the whole time. Thanks for a great vacation, Kevin! We'll be back :)

Value bomb
This is by far the best campground I have ever stayed at. Kevin and Lori were very accommodating and the pond was so much fun for everyone that we didn’t even need to go anywhere for entertainment. They even sprayed for mosquitoes and ticks. There was so much equipment available for use that we could have packed half as much as we did. They provide tables, chairs, a gas grill, towels, RV is optional for a little extra, swim equipment for the kids and adults (life jackets, fins, goggles, etc…), and the tiki torches were great for lighting at night. We will be coming back for sure.

2nd time—this time brought Family!
We’re return HipCampers to Bear Paw (booked our return the day we left)—this time we brought my parents, my sister and her family with five kids. Here’s what they had to say:
“If you want your kids to love camping, bring them here...
My kids range in age from almost 2 to 13 years old and each one had multiple things to gush about and only one complaint - the bugs. (And since those pesky fellas are the complaint of campers the world over, if my kids hadn’t had to deal with flies and mosquitoes no one would believe they’d actually been near the woods.)
The boys caught some big fish, the toddlers were delighted with the sandy beach, my daughter loved the tiny cabin and everyone especially loved swimming in the pond and staying in an RV.
As parents, it was relaxing not to worry about how far the kids had wandered and who else might be around.
Our hosts, Kevin and Lori, were friendly and engaging.
In short, I cannot recommend this place highly enough and only hope that you will not get in the way of my booking my next adventure here. :)

Bear Paw
We booked our next visit back on the way back home from our first visit. Kevin and his wife were super. Even offered fishing poles for our kids. My boy caught a large mouth bass and was beyond thrilled.
The space itself was really nice. Does NOT feel you’re in someone’s backyard, as the camping site and play structures for the kids are in a side lot a distance from the house. The water was clean and we had a blast.
This place is a gem about to be discovered…last place I found on HipCamp near this good got voted “Best of” Michigan and now it’s hard to get in there. Here’s your chance at one of HipCamp’s gems—book it!

We cannot say enough good things about Bear Paw Camping. Kevin was beyond accomodating. The amenities he provided were exceptional and the property is amazing. Our family enjoyed our stay very much. Our grandchildren couldn't get enough of the play equipment! Our grand-daughter caught her first fish in his pond and is now "hooked". Our family is already making plans to return next year!

Our stay with Kevin was incredible! He and his wife were so friendly and helpful. My husband and I have 3 kids, 3 and under and we were able to relax and not worry about what our kids were doing or where they were because we could always see them and they had an amazing set up for the kids to play at. My oldest caught her first fish in their pond and my kids had the time of their lives there! The setting was beautiful and welcoming. We definitely look forward to staying there again!
