8 camp sites, 2 Yurts, and a Bohemian tent, located in beautiful and tranquil Southwest Michigan. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres. 15 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites are located. Each one has a fire ring and wooden picnic table. One site, capable of taking a mid sized RV / Fifth Wheel, is located on the front of the property with easy access from the road. It backs up to some trails and and brush / wood area and has a corn field to the right. So, even though on the front on the property, you have a feeling of privacy. It too has a fire pit and wooden picnic table. The other four camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. Another is more secluded half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. Then two others are in the middle of the pasture, one for sun lovers and one for those who prefer more shade. All sites (camping, Yurt and Bohemian) have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and wooden picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). Our goats, poultry, pigs, and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Relaxing Tetreat on the Farm

What an absolute treat to have the privilege to stay at Sam’s Yurt on Julie’s beautiful property. It is charming, inviting and comfortable! Julie is an excellent host from the time you arrive to the time you have to say goodbye. We loved a lot of her special touches that set her apart from other experiences such as, the beautiful hand made fire starters, breakfast …. Including her hommade jam and salsa … among other things. We are sceeming to see when we can return!

Lucy The Yurt

So relaxing and fun!

We had a relaxing, fun time staying in Lucy the yurt! The grounds are clean and easy to navigate. There are creatures and critters everywhere to keep the kids busy (goats, chickens, ducks, cats, etc..) Julie is lovely and accommodating in many ways. The meals are great and are large, 1 can feed two people. Bring pillows and blankets if you're in the yurt! The town if 5 min away and has only a dollar store - so be aware there aren't real options for food, etc nearby and plan accordingly.

Koda’s Corner - RV/5th Wheel/Camper

We recently had the pleasure of spending a night at 2 Chicks and a Farm. It was a wholesome, charming experience that we look forward to repeating. From the moment we arrived, Julie’s warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The campsite was well-maintained, with clean facilities and plenty of space and privacy for tents and RV’s. We enjoyed walking around the farm on our own - but the true highlight was Julie’s farm tour. She takes pride in maintaining and caring for her animals and making an enjoyable camping experience for her guests and it shows. We were able to interact with the animals- which fortunately for us included holding and feeding some newborn baby goats!- and enjoy Julie’s stories and knowledge. It was especially impressive the way she interacted with the small children in the group, eagerly and patiently answering their questions and allowing them to participate in caring for the animals. Overall, 2 Chicks and a Farm is a hidden gem for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. With its beautiful surroundings, welcoming atmosphere, and unique farm experience, I can’t recommend it highly enough.
