Misty's Meadow at Turtle Bend Farm
A spontaneous end-of-season trip that turned out really well. Beautiful views over the pasture with sheep and some very curious cows, plus a friendly cat that stopped by often. The only downside was the train passing a few times during the night, but otherwise it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

Great place to camp. Tons of sheep and turkeys. There's cows and hogs. Fledge the Dog and Vel Vel the Cat are the best. Great location to visit SW mass at a great price. Felix and Maggie are great hosts.

Tent camping on Margaret's land was so peaceful and atmosphere that it felt like a scene out of a movie. Words cannot describe how beautiful this campsite was and Margaret was very friendly and responsive on top of that.

Camp site was great, lots of space and the fire pit was big and deep (for big fires). It was great to watch the animals and have visits from the cat. Felix and Margaret are gracious, down to earth, and welcoming hosts, responding to questions and providing help. I was able to join in on a farm lesson and walked away having learned a lot. You can tell Felix enjoys teaching about farm life and nature. Highly recommend.

Started the time at Turtle Bend with my bestie and loved the vibe. Very serene with the exception of the sheep running by as they returned to their enclosure! Very funny! They got out somewhere and then came back in right by our site.
This is a TOTALLY RUSTIC site. its not for the faint of heart though I’m guess most hipcampers know what they are in for. This is not glamping in any way. And we LOVED IT!!! If you want an off grid experience that does not require a backpack, this is an option.

We stayed at the site above both barns — it was an excellent experience! The fireplace was great, the ground was flat and perfect, and the site offered plenty of privacy. The restroom was close by, and when we woke up in the morning, the view was absolutely stunning. I’ll definitely come back to the same site in two weeks.
The host was very helpful and responded quickly and perfectly.

What a very nice family that runs this place. Everyone was very hospitable. It was a real pleasure to get out of the city and be surrounded by animals. There's a cool trail into the woods where you can watch trains pass by a few times a day.

This was a sweet retreat. I loved meeting the other campers and the farm critters were a joy to keep tabs on and appreciate. I enjoyed my brief interactions with the proprietor and family. I am used to primitive camping and this is definitely that! But rewarding for its views, economics, and access to some great hiking and recreation, with lots of trails in the nearby vicinity! Would definitely return to this Hipcamp! Note to hammock tenters: the site we were in did not have good trees for hanging your tent from so plan accordingly. I brought my backup tent so all was well.

Overall the view of the farm is quite pretty, the campsites are private enough, and the owners seemed nice and helpful. Also the location is a very pretty little valley. However the site we stayed on wasn’t nearly level enough to make for a decent night’s sleep and loud trains came past the farm every couple hours all night. A tent platform or some grading work would make a huge improvement.

The property was beautiful. If you're looking for a spot to watch this stars in a beautiful wooded valley, this is your spot. My son really liked seeing the animals and the hosts are very nice.
The water situation was a little weird. I recommend bringing your own large container. The listing says there is a judge or spigot. The only water I was pointed to was a 10 gallon jug located in the same space as the composting toilets, so presumably the spigot was being touched by folks with dirty hands while they were washing. -> But to be fair, I didn't ask the hosts if there were other options.

Hello- this campsite is perfect for anyone looking for a wonderfully peaceful way to enjoy a night or more in the Berkshire Mountains. The campsites are large and flat. There is a composting toilet and potable water.The farm animals are curious and friendly, but not bothersome. The owners are helpful and pleasant. We had a great night’s sleep here. AND the farm’s chickens cleaned the bugs off our car bumpers! Very much recommend this site!

The farm itself was lovely, the bathroom was nice, and the hosts helpful. It wasnt clear from booking though which sites we'd have to choose from and both weren't really ready, in my opinion. One was very buggy with its proximity to the creek and the other was not close to level. Both had been mowed, but the ground needs to be tilled to remove the stalks of the plants sticking out. It was rough to walk on and set up tents on. The other sites were a lot nicer, but we couldn't tell which we were getting from the listing. The bathroom was nice though and we LOVED the cat.

Loved the animals and there is plenty of space for the campers. We had no one around us and the bathroom was clean. The animals did not do too much noise and we had a grea time! Nice and friendly hosts!

I absolutely loved camping here. I woke up and watched the birds outside my tent for almost an hour. Tons of hummingbirds, cedar waxwings, and warblers! The hosts were very friendly and ensured I was able to find everything. I can’t wait to come back!
