Follow us on Instagram @shitefootfarms As always we are excited and can't wait to share our place with you! We are a small farmette with goats, chickens, ducks, fruits, veggies, and Irish Wolfhounds. The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! The dogs and I are super excited to hike with you! Do you prefer a close by (5min drive) on-leash walk or a 20 minute drive to a reservation that allows the hounds to be off-leash while hiking? Hike 30-60 minutes. The hounds would love to have you accompany them on their evening walk around the neighborhood if a hike is not for you. Please note hikes are not possible in extreme heat or humidity.

A wonderful getaway!

My stay at the little A frame was just what I needed. Well appointed with lots of details and very welcoming and cozy! Jae was a kind and friendly host. I was lucky enough to be there during October so I could add on a special card reading with Jae which was wonderful. The site itself is quite and private but super close to gas stations, wine stores and even some excellent Thai food! Meeting Jae’s beautiful dogs was the icing on the cake. I’m sure that I will be back next year and this time I will not forget my headlamp:) Thanks to Jae for an experience I will not soon forget.

What went well? Everything from the second we arrived. Host was laid back and encouraged us to do the same. Her amazing personality makes you feel welcomed. I’ve met a couple grouchy hosts. She was the BEST! My boyfriend and were looking for a romantic atmosphere and her site was magical. Everything from utensils, water, clean bathroom, and the A-Frame. Bathroom was very close which is important for someone like me (medical issues). Privacy completely, which we love. The lights at Night are peaceful and again magical. The bed was clean, sheets so white and been taken care of. The bed felt better than a Hilton hotel! No joke. Beautiful look out on view of the water. The A-Frame is well taken care of. I was not scared of critters while sleeping. We will be back. By far the best host and best Hipcamp I’ve visited with privacy and romance if that’s what you’re looking for. First time taking my boyfriend to a Hipcamp and now his sold 🙂 P.s Fall was an amazing time to come. 🍁 leafs changing and surrounded us with its beauty. Thank you 🙏 again we both appreciated it and came at a time where we needed a break. Came from CT well worth the drive. 💜☪️💜My crystals are fully charged thanks to the beauty and Good vibes.

Cute little hidden gem! A welcoming private space, tucked into a suburban town. The A-frame was the perfect size for 3 girls and two dogs. Jae had it fully stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable and convenient escape.

We spent the night in the the AFrame and had a wonderful time. We brought our own fire wood and our host provided a propane stove that we utilized for cooking dinner and breakfast. You truly feel secluded even though you are minutes from many stores. A highlight was watching the moon move through the sky while lying in bed and eating breakfast on the deck by the water. This is similar to rustic camping with the outhouse and open sleeping quarters- everything was clean and we were pleased with what was provided. We also appreciated that our host took the time to look up and provide us with information on the area and activities to do.

Very refreshing and peaceful

It was very peaceful and refreshing. We saw an otter the first day swimming by us on the river. I’m glad we saw the huge snake in the water as we were leaving, and not earlier. We had no trouble with mosquitos, surprisingly. I loved the little wood stove on the dock, although it took a long time to cook on, but we were into having a slow morning anyways.

Jae was a perfect hostess - communicative, attentive to details and really went above and beyond to make sure i had what I needed to make my stay at the A-frame perfect. As noted in other reviews, the lodging itself is on a tiny “river” with lots of wildlife nearby, but it is close enough to amenities to make everything really convenient. I look forward to visiting again!

Justine’s place is absolutely divine. Let me walk you through our experience so you know what to expect! Jaebird’s Farmette is at the end of a street that goes pretty well back into the woods. It’s not in a rural area, so local amenities are very close by. A gas station was literally right across the street which came in handy when we needed a few off beat items. Justine was there to greet us and she’s a super nice lady who clearly takes an interest in gardening, farming, and animals. She was awesome! She led us on a short trail into the woods over a sturdy and wide wooden bridge. Just over the bridge roughly 600 feet from the house and shrouded by forestry is the A frame. It sits in a sizable “river” but it is still water, so I don’t recommend swimming in there, however, it was very tranquil and even when it rained, was a beautiful site. We were also pleased to have seen turtles, an otter, and a majestic heron on the river. The view was lovely! The A-frame is the size of a small room and it’s the perfect size for 2. The bed was large enough for two (and a small dog!). A charged fan and mosquito netting kept us relatively cool and comfortable. The outhouse was clean, the camp shower got the job done, and a pleasant addition was the little wood stove. We brought a cast iron Dutch oven and cooked on it the entire time - 3 days! It was divine. Over all, it was clean, well-stocked, had everything we needed, and was super relaxing. I feel recharged and refreshed!!

Lovely. We were made sure we had everything we needed- including a battery operated fan that got recharged each day so we could sleep during a very humid spell. Justine was great. The place is private even though it is close to civilization.

It was not comfortable at all she had dumped lots of diatomaceous earth over everything and it smelt of some kind of chemical spray don’t know how clean the bedding is and it is not a safe place for a single lady for the fact that one side is totally open There is not much room to move around outside the A-frame the A-frame itself the pictures are real pretty but nothing like the property not a good neighborhood and it’s very dirty trail to get to makes the A-frame real dirty . I couldn’t even stay there the night so I lost out on my $125 plus tax

Unique Waterfront Stay

Jae has created such a fun, unique, and thoughtful space! Although my stay was short, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I loved being close to the water, a highlight of my stay was seeing a mama duck and her babies float by!

Personal Nirvana

I cannot possibly say ENOUGH! Jae’s hipcampsite was EXACTLY what I needed! I told her I hope I’ll be back soon. The site is exactly as described only I was a teeny bit worried about the sound of traffic and I was so immersed in the sounds of nature I never noticed them. This was my personal nirvana! Late at night when the cabin was surrounded by fireflies I could hardly believe it was real! If the description sounds good to you it will be PERFECT!

I loved staying in the a-frame on the water! It was just shady enough that you can be outside all day and not get too hot, so you can enjoy the outdoors without needing electricity, even though Jae offers a fan in the a-frame for you if you’d like. I was able to explore both Rhode Island and Massachusetts hiking spots, as well as some great restaurants nearby thanks to Jae’s recommendations. Do yourself a favor and opt in to the farm fresh eggs, they are delicious! I definitely have to say though, that the best part is being fully secluded from town, but only a pathway and a few trees away, so you still feel completely comfortable being alone. An added perk is getting to see all of the farm animals each morning, and getting to say hi to the dogs!

Overall it was a nice trip we had! The site was cute and quite secluded while being close to local stores like stop and shop, dollar tree, and stuff and host was very friendly and helpful. One downside I would say is it’s not for winter time as one side of the walls cannot be closed and remains open as seen in the picture. Host gave us full description before checking in and we were also planning to head out at night anyways so it was fine. But if you decide to spend a night there, it’s pretty chilly and windy so I would not recommend unless you bring some sort of heat that is NOT electricity powered - the site does not have any outlets.

Wonderful site with kind host

Jae was such a kind and considerate host who made our stay wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable despite some unexpected heavy rain. We stayed warm and dry in the A-frame and got a full 1.5 day's use of the site, complete with camp fire! The location was beautiful with the stream nearby and trees surrounding the site. It felt private and natural. Jae was accommodating and responsive at every turn. I would highly recommend this site to anyone interested in an easily accessible, low-effort camping/glamping outing.

My girlfriend and I had a lot of fun at Jae’s A-Frame. We fed chickens, walked with goats and dogs, and enjoyed a relaxing night by the fire pit. The A-frame is close to the parking spot, and close to shops but feels totally secluded. This property is so pretty in the fall, and Jae is a great host. 10/10 would come back again.

I had an amazing experience even though the weather wasn't the best. This was my first experience camping with a dog and she loved it. Justine was very kind and attentive. She provided a soft rug, food bowls and a huge lead for my pup. I am very happy with my experience here and plan to go back when the weather gets better. 10 stars out of 5 stars experience.
