This was a great semi private pet friendly spot located at the back of the owner's property. If you set your campsite upright you can make it so that everyone has privacy. It was a wonderful spot plenty of room for multiple tents and screen houses. There's also a wonderful hiking trail through the property that you can take.

I really liked this site. The set up was great for my pop-up and be would just as good for tents or an RV. It was early Spring, so the foliage hasn’t come in yet and it rained all Saturday making quite a bit of mud. However, we made the best of it and had a good time.
The hiking paths were great and well marked. Willis is working on a treehouse that would be amazing to camp in.
The pallet bridge over the little stream needs to be replaced, falling through it wasn’t fun. But it is very early in the season and I’m sure it’s on his list of things to do.

Excellent services provided by host Willis. He was waiting for us and escorted us to the campsite. Everything was better than expected such as the prepared wood fir the fire pit and the picnic table with views of the forest. The nearby compost latrine was easy to get to and cleanest we've ever seen. Highly recommend and we will be going back soon.

This site is perfect for those who want a nice relaxing weekend in the woods. Far enough from things but also close enough to a lot. We went hiking in the woods nearby and managed to get all the way to the river which was further than we initially thought, but it was a great hike nonetheless. We also had a great experience with Willis and his help showing us to the camp site. Overall I would come back in a heartbeat!

Willis has carved out the perfect camping nook. It couldn't be easier to pull right in with a vehicle, and the site is ready to go with a large, solid picnic table, a roomy fire pit, and a covered platform with firewood at the ready. For late September, the tree frogs and insects were still quite active at night .. the perfect soundtrack for a nighttime campfire. The composting toilet is nice to have, and the outdoor shower was clutch, just the thing after hiking around nearby Mt. Sugarloaf. He's even got a sink set up for when it's time to wash the dishes.
I would come back for sure. It's easy to get to, quiet, and close to lots of outdoorsy stuff.
Also, Willis has some young rock gardens budding around his property, so be sure to check them out. I am interested how they'll be looking a year from now.

We loved camping at Willis's property! The campsite was private, quiet, and easy to access. The location was perfect, super close to Treehouse Brewing which was our destination for a concert. Enjoyed having a hot shower too!

Excellent place for a beautiful and quiet Labor Day weekend camping trip with friends and family. So glad we opted for this against the crowded campgrounds. Loved the small hike in their woods, kids romping about in the field, laying in the grass and watching the shooting stars. Compost toilet did the trick and nice layout of the sites. Will definitely return for the treehouse that was under construction!

Great spot for tent camping with a group as there are plenty of options for setting up tents and for parking. The fire pit and included wood was nice to have and the nearby area is a good blend of secluded with enough options to have a range of activities to do for any age range.

A lovely private place all to ourselves. Our spot was nested under old trees by the field. Despite the rain we had no issues driving to or from site with our 2wd Westfalia.
Willis is a super host. Extremely responsive. He also went out of his way to mark the trails in the woods on his land for us to enjoy.
We brought a small stainless rack to put on the grate that went over the fire pit but the grate that was there would have been fine by itself.
The hot outdoor shower was just a real nice perk of this place.

Willis's campsite was perfect for us! It was nicely located a few hundred yards away from his home along the tree line. He was easy to communicate with and I would recommend this campsite for those looking for a low-key place to camp.

Site was a bit more rugged and less private than expected. The outhouse needed a cleaning.
The area around the fire pit was fairly muddy and it took a bit of trial and error to find a spot where one could place a camping chair. The large rock the fire pit was built against began to chip off as we were prepping a cooking fire (I’m guessing from heat + rain?) which was a bit startling as we didn’t expect rocks to be dropping into a lit fire. There was also no cooking grate on site which is shown in most of the pictures so be prepared for that.
Overall not a bad camping site but the upfront expectations could have been set more clearly.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and we weren’t disappointed! Willis was very prompt in responding to our messages. The campsites are on the edge of a forest filled with birdsong and is quite private. There is another campsite through the woods about 100 feet away — our neighbors were polite and friendly. The hot shower was excellent after a long day hiking and biking in the area. The location is convenient to Northampton and Amherst. Also, we were able to drive right up to our campsite in our car. Thanks Willis!

Easy to book and good communication. This was a last minute booking when our planned campsite in Vermont got flooded. Friendly host. The property was nice. The campsite was clean and we had a picnic table, fire pit, easy access to the composting bathroom, and use of the cute outdoor shower. Our camping space was large which we really enjoyed.

Tucked away paradise! When we arrived we were surprised how far back from the house the campsite was, we were able to position our tent so we could not see the house at all, the site was tucked away on the edge of the tree line, the fire pit was amazing and so was the little tree house that held our well stocked wood. Willis and his son were amazing to talk to and learn about town. We went to the town beach for a swim and to mount sugarloaf state reservation and it was beautiful! We needed up cooking our final nights dinner there, and were able to share with others. Disclaimer: if it rains or is wet when you are there, have a truck it gets wet, and deep quick.
There is art and sculptures dancing around the campsites and the forest, Willis creates these and they are amazing!
Thank you Willis for opening your place to us! We would definitely come back!!

A beautiful piece of property with an accommodating host. The compostable toilet and outdoor shower were nice perks. The only thing that bummed me out was my stay was too short! I'll definitely be back!

We had a great time camping here! The site was easily accessible but also felt tucked into the forest. There were trails on the property where we could go walking in the morning. And we appreciated the tidy privy and option for a hot shower!

First, Willis is great . Very communicative. Very accommodating. Also: artful.
Second, A very nice place to stay. Very peaceful. Spacious campsite with a really nice fire pit and all the wood you could forage. Surrounded by lovely trees. Lots of birds, squirrels etc. Nice outdoor shower with very hot water – always a plus!

We had a quiet and peaceful stay at Willis’s camping spot. Though we were a close walk to the composting toilet and hot outdoor shower we were far enough away to feel like we were in the deep woods. The only significant noise were the lovely owls talking back and forth and the crickets at night. The trails through the woods were numerous and lovely for those to like to hike. I would definitely recommend 4 wheel drive to get to the woodland campsites but he has a nice site in a field for those who don’t have one. Our dogs were happy off leash as we were the only guests on the property. Willis was friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. We would definitely come again.

Willis’ campsite was great. The compost toilet was nice and not too far, there was wood for us to use in the firepit, and we enjoyed walking around the trails on his property. It was also a good location for our excursions to greenfield for ice cream and Deerfield for Treehouse Brewing. The site we used was in view of the house but we were left alone after meeting Willis and being guided through the yard to the site. There is another more secluded site up on the hill which was great, but requires a more equipped vehicle.
