A really nice and beautiful place! Jed is a very nice person who is knowledgeable about the area and he gave me a nice tour of the facilities. The dogs are also a plus, they were cute and friendly and one even made an evening visit. I felt very safe as a solo female with my small dog.

Really nice wooded site. Swimming hole access made the trip extra amazing. It is quite a bit of a walk from where our site was but a short hike was worth the dip on a hot day. Would recommend!

We had a great time hanging out at this private site and exploring the nearby swimming hole. Our host was helpful but let us do our thing! Bring your mosquito protection and a good pair of hiking boots. We’ll be back again, I’m sure!

It seemed like there was some confusion with the site. When we got there the site wasn’t empty yet so we walked around for a few hours. We were also disappointed that they enacted a fire ban the night before we were to arrive so we couldn’t have a campfire except for charcoal. This seemed to be a new rule and not sure how long it would be going. No firewood was actually provided. The girl showing us the site was very nice and showed us around while we waited. We never met Jedidiah so I can’t comment on him. The swimming hole is about a 15 minute walk down (And up and down) a fairly well established trail. The water was quite refreshing. The waterfall area is by far the highlight. The site was sort of drive near but plan to have to trek your stuff a little bit from the parking area to the sites. The compost toilet is a bucket that you put wood chips over. If all of the sites were full it wouldn’t be too secluded but it was almost empty when we were there so it was very private. The area for the tent is on a bit of a slant and could use a little more clearing for larger tents (especially the small tree stumps). The sites are very wooded and covered so even with a massive thunderstorm one night the ground was pretty dry in the morning.
Overall, it was okay. Not as high as my expectations based on other reviews but I’ve definitely seen worse.

Jedidiah, the host, is a real pleasure. Very helpful and respectful of guests needs and privacy.
The land is beautiful, densely wooded and hosts the most fireflies I have ever seen in one spot. Highly recommended for hammock campers.
The bugs and mosquitos were not too bad, except when it rained, when it got pretty dense with flying critters under my tarp.
I would return to camp again.

A heavenly place combining some cleared land with extensive wooded areas and lots of hiking opportunities. Jed was super helpful and generous, helping us get a fire going in the wet, and helping with materials. The compost outhouse and outdoor shower were wonderful. We met lovely people and got to be social, while having plenty of quiet and solitude. Our first night music was a hooting owl! Total fun.

The farm is really beautiful and Jedidiah was friendly and communicative. The only problem was that I expected firewood to be provided, and I was provided with wet firewood and some dry firewood that I had to cut by myself (and I'm not that skilled with it).

The site was beautiful. We were in a very private spot that Jedidiah showed us which was exactly what we were looking for. The camping is a bit rough- so if you are not interested in hiking into the woods for water or to use an outhouse it’s maybe not the right fit. The spot we camped in was remote and near a small river. Unfortunately the firewood provided was extremely wet and starting a fire was extremely difficult. Being that we aren’t supposed to bring our own wood I thought that should have been dealt with before we got there by way of at least protecting the wood from rain. There was also not much space to sit around the designated fire and there was no table at the area we camped in- but that was our decision to choose that spot. Just noting for others who may feel they need those things when camping. I believe there were other spots on the property that offered those amenities but were closer to the road. Overall a good experience. The solitude, proximity to water and remoteness of the farm were definitely the highlights.

Beautiful property with easy access and options for either one somewhat open or other more secluded campsites. Outhouse is easily located just off the parking spot, and a short walk down is drinking water access. The real highlight though was the swimming hole, which was chilly (in the morning in late August) but sunlit and just gorgeous, and we had it to ourselves for a long while. Overall great experience.

The site was nice and private and Jedidiah was a great host, showing us around and lending us a table to use at our campsite. The swimming hole was amazing-- fun for adults and children alike and absolutely beautiful. While we cut our trip short due to heavy rainfall, we would definitely recommend Moss Hill Farm to anyone interested in dipping their toes primitive camping with the option for minimal toilet and water availability.

Moss Hill Farm exceeded all of our expectations!
There were several sites to choose from, all of which provided ample privacy. We chose the one that was most in the open as we were staying for a short time and had a ton of things in our car but still felt that we were alone. There is potable drinking water a short walk away and a compost toilet. About 10-12 minutes through the woods there is a private (only open to guests) magical waterfall and swimming hole that you could spend hours at. It's not crowded (even with other campers) and we had the area to ourselves most of the time. It's great to wade it or read by and there are already a few chairs there.
The farm is great and it was cool to see everything that is growing there. Jed offered us some produce and we even took some squash blossoms to make this super easy treat: https://www.loveandoliveoil.com/2015/06/goat-cheese-stuffed-fried-zucchini-blossoms.html
There are also two mountain bikes available and ton of biking and hiking trails to take advantage of.
Host wise, Jed was great. He accommodated our late arrival and showed us the lay of the land. Very appreciative of him! :)
Overall, a 10/10 and we hope to be back soon!

This place is Awesome!!! Jedidiah was wonderful showed us several sites and was very friendly with our large blind old man dog! The site was private and beautifull with a creek running right beside. The swimming hole/ waterfall is easily a nice stroll through the woodlands and so pretty!

Loved staying here! Jed was a great host and showed us around the family farm, site and creek. We were free to pick produce from the farm and explore the enitre property. The land is beautiful and has was perfect for a weekend trip from the city. We plan to come back!

Moss Hill Farm is an oasis. New sites, very natural feeling. A bit of a hike down to our site which we LOVED - it gave us even more privacy than expected. Quick hike to the swimming hole (which is even more gorgeous in person), and potable fresh spring water. Definitely recommend to people with some camping experience who want to get away from it all. Jed was awesome.

We had a wonderful stay at the Moss Hill campground! The host was so friendly and attentive. The sites are secluded, quiet and well maintained. There are hiking trails near by and just a short walk to a beautiful swimming hole with waterfalls. A perfect weekend of R&R. Would definitely stay again but hopefully longer next time!

We had a lovely, remote campsite that was far enough away from the road and then other sites that we really felt like we were alone in the forest, which was amazing! The swimming hole was also a nice touch though it was a bit too chilly to dive in. Would definitely recommend to those who want a private camping experience that's more on the rustic side!

This was my 2nd time staying here and once again it did not disappoint. The camp site was perfect for our group and there was plenty of firewood nearby to burn in the fire pit.
We made our way down to the swimming hole & waterfalls several times during our stay. Its very relaxing and a perfect way to spend a few hours of your stay.
Thanks for another pleasant stay and I’m looking forward to my next trip back.

This was our first hipcamp experience and a high bar has been set. Our campsite was lovely and private. Clearly Jedediah has built this site with love, creativity, and a great respect for the beauty that the natural surroundings have provided for us. We loved the natural springs water spigot and of course the swimming hole and natural waterfalls were amazing. We are road bikers and did a beautiful, but very challenging loop: up (soul-tryingly up as described by Jedediah) to Blanford, 23 west to Algarie Rd and back North Blandford Rd then enjoyed the downhill back to Moss Hill that we so deserved. We LOVED the solar shower. Jacob's Pillow was 30 minutes away and we saw amazing dance. An incredibly wonderful weekend. We would highly recommend Moss Hill Farm. You will be welcomed warmly, yet given all the privacy you want. With plenty more to check out in the area, we will be back again.
