This newly renovated 800 sq ft 2-bedroom, 1-bath barn apartment is perfect for the quiet, self-sufficient guest seeking a simple, peaceful stay in the Berkshires. Located on a quiet, rural property just 20–25 minutes from Great Barrington or Pittsfield, this apartment is ideal for traveling professionals, nature lovers, or anyone in need of temporary housing away from the bustle. Hardwood floors & new appliances Private deck overlooking the forest – perfect for morning coffee or evening unwinding 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom Fully furnished & move-in ready Private entrance, private space Quiet, respectful long-term tenants on the property The barn apartment sits on a shared 6-acre woodland property that also includes the main house—where I live—and a separate in-law apartment that is rented out. Chickens and beehives are located just beside the barn, so guests should be comfortable with a bit of farm life. Wild animals such as deer, foxes, raccoons, and the occasional bear also pass through, so please be mindful outdoors. We kindly ask that all guests drive slowly on the long, shared driveway to ensure the safety of animals, children, and other residents. While beautifully updated, this home is not a luxury rental—think peaceful, practical, and well cared for.
