We're named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024 and 2023! Over 40 acres of solitude tucked in the hilltowns of the western Massachusetts Berkshires -- boasting warm sunrises over the distant hills, lush forest for hiking and meandering river frontage on Bronson Brook and walking distance to the Westfield River to wade and soak in the cool mountain water or fish for native trout! The cabin and camping sites are located in beautiful trails that were created around the main home -- an architect designed masterpiece boasting a wonderful asian influence yet handcrafted from the very timberstock off the land on which it sits lending a refined rustic twist. 25 Min to Northampton and 10 min to the Berkshires! You can hike or bike to the best swimming holes around and camp within our beautiful forested hills of hemlock, birch, maple, and wildflower meadow. If you're into kayaking/canoeing/tubing/hiking/fishing, then this is the perfect space for you. Come escape and breathe in our cool clean mountain air :)

We're named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024 and 2023! Pitch your tent in our Birch/Hemlock forest and have access to the shared outdoor shower/sink and picnic area. This camp is a 1 minute walk from the main house, and you will have complete privacy. We have 6 tent sites to choose from on our trails, so you can pick if you want to be close to the house or farther down the trails (between 1-5 minute walks). Each site has its own tent platform and there is a shared outhouse with compost toilet. You're welcome to bring your own camping stove, but have to set it up in the communal picnic area and not inside the woods for wildfire safety.

Over 40 acres of magnificent views of the beautiful green hills of the Berkshire hilltowns, our tiny secluded cabin has heat on both floors, electricity, lights, wifi, and an upstairs loft with a full-sized futon mattress for you to sleep in. The upstairs windows have screens if you want to prop them open. Just outside the cabin is where the table/chairs, outdoor shower (propane heated), outdoor sink and water area (safe to drink well water), and outhouse with compost toilet are for you to use (shower and sink are shared with two of our hipcamp tent sites in summer months). Located on over 40 acres of land, we can show you the trails that we've made and also show you where two swimming holes are (one just a short walk off the property and the second a bike ride away to the Chesterfield Gorge). Enjoy meals at the Chesterfield General Store or take a drive to Mass MoCA, the Berkshires, nearby lakes, Northampton and the Pioneer Valley. NOTE: if you're over 6ft tall or a larger framed body, we recommend checking out our glamping site instead of the cabin since the cabin is very small and you might feel a bit too squeezed. But if you like tiny homes, then this is the perfect spot for you. Message us if you have questions.

We're named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024 and 2023! Enjoy glamping within the Hilltowns of the Berkshires in western MA. A new canvas bell tent that sleeps two people comfortably. It has two twin size futons on Japanese tatami mats. Linens, towels, pillows, blankets included. Enjoy our outdoor shower (heated!) that's nestled in the woods with a beautiful mossy boulder as your wall. There’s a new outhouse with a compost toilet in the woods and we have an outdoor sink area for you to use too. We're have a well and water is safe to drink. You'll have a portable off-grid battery to plug in any electronics you have and we have wifi that you can use while you're here unless you want to unplug :) You can park right near your campsite for easy loading in. Swimming holes galore around here, we'll show you our favorite spots that you can walk or bike to. Some lakes that you can drive to as well. Great spot for cyclists and many bike up to Chesterfield General Store thurs-sun to enjoy treats, pizza, sandwiches made in a wood fire oven. There's a nearby brewery in Worthington as well as a great bbq food truck and ice cream spot in Williamsburg.

Gorgeous, secluded, woodsy serenity! I loved the outdoor shower, easy communication, charming decoration and thoughtfully placed amenities throughout the cabin and surrounds. I look forward to visiting again soon, hopefully for a much longer stay.

I had such a great time at the cabin! The hosts were great (two women while I was there). Everything was super clean and well thought out, I had brought several things that I ended up not needing to unpack because the little (it is very little…) cabin was so well stocked! The trails on the property are short but awesome, the outdoor shower was great. The outhouse was beautiful and very clean. The Wi-Fi was pretty good and fast, but it was a little bit spotty/in and out. I came to the cabin as a tiny solo writing retreat and spent a lot of time inside and though it small and chilly outside I was very comfortable and cozy! I will say I also saw a few critters in the cabin, nothing to be alarmed about but if you’re opting for a cabin over a tent because outdoor friends are a 100% no for you, you have to remember the cabin is still in the woods 🙃 I felt super safe as a solo woman, with lots of privacy but the main Atland house in view for emergency/peace of mind. Excellent location. Would totally come again.

What a wonderous experience! The tent was roomy and comfortable. The outdoor shower was incredible and so warm. Our host was kind and attentive. She even helped us to find a secret local swimming hole. The property is magical—we were able to relax in a hammock and by a fire at night. Highly recommend!

Staying at Artland was a lovely and unique experience. The main building on the property, a - 4ish? story building is quite a site to behold. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and provided great suggestions for fun things to do it the area. The hipcamp sites are all either in line of site of the main building or each other but certainly much farther apart than they would be at a traditional campground. Definitely recommend.

What a special location--so thoughtfully set up, such beautiful stars. Had a warm welcome here despite a late arrival and was able to get a fire going at the firepit and then to slumber peacefully under a thunderstorm--summer magic!

The hosts are awesome and very kind and attentive. The land is gorgeous with the house and forest as a backdrop. We got rained out and had to leave early so we didnt get to really enjoy the area but we will be back. They are still building the place up (new hot tub and outhouse) so it'll be nice to go back once everything is done. The only con was that the fire pit was not at the tent site and it's communal. Wasn't a big issue but I prefer my fire closer. I tend to add sage and other shrubs for bug control at camp while cooking and I like hanging around the fire until im ready to roll into my tent. FYI- toilets are portable, non flushable outdoor bins, and very clean with each site having their own!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilltop Cabin! It is a magical place, with great trails to walk on, a well outfitted outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and outdoor shower with hot water! The cabin itself was cozy and we slept well and dry while the rain fell around us in the forest. Also- it was lovely to stay so close to amazing swim spots. A great weekend getaway!

What wonderful shelter on a gorgeous property on there of a Western Massachusetts hill town! Felt very peaceful and protected. And, Tori and Elly were friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend a stay in this micro house off the beaten path.

Oh my what a wonderful place. It was so quiet - a private site and private outdoor compost toilet. They had an outdoor sink set up and a cute little seating area by the little house. The house itself was so cozy. I sipped tea and read while the rain pitter pattered on the roof. Having heat was amazing on the chilly night. Would definitely visit again!

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. Tori was very responsive throughout the whole booking process which made us feel at ease once we finally arrived for our stay. We would definitely recommend this listing to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway surrounded by beautiful nature. We are looking forward to returning in the near future!
