Jason and the property were both lovely. We enjoyed the well appointed yurt and the company of all the critters for a weekend. The space heaters were plenty to keep the yurt warm and the breakfast at The Root cafe in town was a bonus.

We had a great weekend at Yorkie Acres. The set up is super welcoming - a spacious and well appointed yurt next to a charming covered porch with space to lounge and gather, all bound by a lovely stream. And then there are the animals! Playful goats and sheep, adorable cows, and the canine welcoming committee, Arleigh and Freddy (te humans are pretty great too). It's all within easy distance of Confluence, Ohiopyle and all the great things the Laurel Highlands have to offer. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend staying at Yorkie Acres Farm. The yurt is incredibly cute and we stayed warm on a relatively chilly April weekend - space heaters and a heated blanket helped a ton. The animals are adorable and lots of fun, and the pavilion kitchen was great for making a couple of quick breakfasts. (¾ of our group are experienced campers and we felt there was something for everyone!)
Jason is an awesome host and was great at communicating and accommodating, especially with some heavy rain/wind on our arrival date.

My kids and I spend a few days here over spring break and it was lovely! We enjoyed the farm animals, and the dogs were delightful. Jason was a wonderful host. The property is breathtaking.

I needed a peaceful reset and that's exactly what I got. The bed in the yurt is super comfy and the stream running behind it gave me the best sleep I've had in weeks. Even though it was chilly mid October, the space heaters gave just enough heat to keep it cozy. I typically camp out of my car and was pleasantly surprised that I had to unpack very little. The water system in the yurt provides cold drinking water and the hot option is very hot for tea or coffee. Bring more snacks than you think you need for the critters and stop at Rustic Joe's just down the rd for one of the best lattes I've ever had.

There are good as well as bad things about the property. Will start with good things first
1. Animals at the property will just keep you entertained the whole time.
2. Host is understanding.
3. Property will will give you true experience of camping.
Now the bad part (in my opinion)
1. The toilet is the portable one and the other one is compost. I feel this should be mentioned in the description, while listing the property.
2. The kitchen is is outside the yurt, in the pavilion area. It is kept in bad condition. Theres one hot plate if you want to cook anything. i saw multiple spider webs, that just gives a feeling how much it is not maintained.
3. There are couches in the pavilion but are again poorly maintained.
4. There is free access to chickens and ducks in the pavilion, where they poop everywhere. This area could have been restricted just for the fact that there is kitchen .
I just feel that $125 for that property is overpriced. Plus there is cleaning fee for this property which i felt did not make any justice looking the condition of the kitchen.

This is a beautiful spot! We paddled in the stream and had a lovely chill time ☺️ Having a fridge and cooking space was really nice, but be prepared to defend your food from chickens, ducks, goats and cats! Fending them off got annoying after a while.

My family had an absolute blast!!! (And we picked the hottest weekend to camp) the yurt was huge and nice and cool at night! My kids loved playing with all the animals. One goat in particular was my daughters absolute favorite…she was over the moon when we were playing uno under the pavilion and the goat came to her for some loves!! My usual uptight, overworked husband said it was the most relaxed and refreshed he’s been in a while!!!

We had a great time at the farm. The owners were friendly and accommodating, the animals were fun to be around, and the scenery was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic time at Yorkie Acres! Beautiful location (you can't beat having that creek nearby), gracious hosts, and of course, amazing animals! If you love animals you WILL love this farm. Jason was a great host and made sure everything was accounted for.
The kitchen was slightly more bare-bones then we anticipated, but the fireplace ended up being perfect for our cooking needs. It was really convenient to have though and the outdoor pavilion is a great place to relax. The yurt is very cute! Plus, the bed is SUPER comfortable and we woke up well rested each morning. (The delicious hops tea we snagged from our hosts also helped)
We really lucked out with our trip's timing and got to hang our with BABY GOATS!!! You just can't beat that! Loved hanging out with the chickens(shout out to my girl Chicken Nugget) and working pup Bowie.

Staying at the farm was a wonderful experience. The animals made it magical. The yurt was well appointed and very comfortable, even on a night when got down to freezing. The owners are kind and caring. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable time. We will be returning again soon.

Just returned from a 3 night stay in the Yorkie Acres yurt with my husband and 6 yo. We loved our mini vacation, especially in these times of physical distancing and avoiding crowds. This was our 6 up’s first “camping” experience so it was a perfect lite intro with some rustic camp features but all the amenities you need and major bonus of friendly farm animals! The yurt is really well set up, comfortable bed, water cooler, even a portable ac unit so you can sleep in comfort. The location was great, easy drive to Deep Creek area but equally easy to get to outdoor adventure in Pennsylvania! We will definitely return!
