Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Located next to camp Harding park where President Warren Harding, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone camped in 1921. This beautiful 20 acre island is surrounded by licking creek, a stocked trout stream. The property is directly on the Tuscarora trail, a 252 mile trail that passes through four states. Camp Harding park has a boat ramp for kayaks, canoes and other small water crafts. Within 2 miles is the Potomac River, C and O Canal, and Western Maryland Rail Trail perfect for bike rides and easy walking. Whitetail resort is only 13 miles away. Tent camping only.
In order to access the camping area, you must ford the creek on foot.
