Site Two - Budrow Wilson
We had the most perfect time at Riverside Farm. It was our boys first time camping (3&5) and site 2 was perfect for us and our dog. The creek is safe for young children to play and cool off in and right next to your site. Our car needed a jump our last morning and the owner promptly and kindly came to our rescue. We will definitely be back to this site

Cool spot close to Frederick with a great opportunity to commune with the land, wildlife, and water. We really appreciated the privacy of the sites. My first HipCamp trip. Set the bar high for future trips.

Site Three - Pelpa
We loved this spot! Definitely will be coming back again. Away from the public and extremely private. Loved the road back to the camp sites, crossing the creek was fun.

I’ve stayed at sites 5 and 6. Both were terrific. Site 6 is smaller but other than that, they’re pretty comparable. Will definitely be back again!

Site Five - Ellie's Favorite
We will definitely come again. Our site was private, next to the river, and peaceful - surprising for how close it is to residential and commercial areas.
It made a perfect base camp for hiking and exploring the area - it’s about equidistant between Harpers Ferry and Gettysburg.

We loved staying at Ellies favorite. The site was exceptionally clean and perfect for our group. Host was very friendly. You could hear a little bit of road noise but it still felt very secluded. I would highly recommend! My wife loved the lightening bugs and the smell of wildflowers!

This has been my favorite go-to for years! Just absolutely gorgeous property, from the river to the birds singing 🤗. My granddaughter and beagle agree, this is a very happy place to be!!

This site was perfect for a quick getaway from DC with my wife and dog. We set up some hammocks, went fishing in the river, hiked around the property, and cooked over the fire pit.
There was heavy rain as we were driving in but our car still did fine on the road into the campsite without 4wd and the creek crossing was a breeze (even with the heavy rain).
If you need all the added amenities of a glamping site, you should look elsewhere. This was just a clearing with a fire pit, but it’s perfect if you want a private location with beautiful trees, access to the water, and great fishing spots.

Site One - Stanley Tucci
Overall we had a great night camping! Site one has a lot of good flat space for tents, a fire ring, and privacy. However, I do not think that I would choose this site again. We would prefer to be right on the water. Additionally, we did find having to drive back through the creek for the porta potty to be a hassle with so many kids in our group. For just adults, it would be no big deal.

Great spot for a night of camping with kids! We were at Ellie’s favorite and the river view was beautiful, although we came right after major rain so it was too muddy to get close to the river. Bugs were not a problem and our girls enjoyed just running around the fields near our campsite! Firewood was provided and Jon-Mikel was very responsive and helped us get our city car out of the mud (if you’re coming in rainy springtime, AWD is not enough and you’ll need 4WD - or park at the entrance and hike in with your gear).

Beautiful sites right near the water. I got to take my two sons and their grandfather out; first camping trip my youngest. We had a blast.
One tip: after crossing the stream, you’ll see a bunch of mud that one car got stuck in. BUT! They’ve carved a trail in the grass that circles around it and makes it easy to skip the mud altogether.
The meadow is perfect for exploring; my kids got to see lots of new species of insects and flowers that they are still talking about.
We look forward to booking again.

Site Two - Budrow Wilson
Had a great time at Site 2. Heads up---We did get a stuck in the mud after crossing the creek and then had trouble getting back out again so had to park and walk our supplies to the site. Made for an interesting start to the camp though, we have stayed here before and had no trouble at all but it had rained quite a bit and things were just too muddy for our 2 wheel drive SUV to manage, 4 wheel drive would have no problems. Once off the main muddy path to the sites the rest was fine, grassy and flat and at the end of our stay things had dried up enough that we were able to drive to pick up the load up at least.
Site 2 is nicely tucked away and although there was one other camper staying at another site for the first night we did not hear or see anyone the whole time we were there.
We had our two dogs who loved the creek and being able to walk the paths around the sites. Lots of wildlife to look at and hear and beautiful wildflowers.
Plenty of fire wood to be had.
All in all a nice trip and we would come back and stay again.

This is an incredible experience. The farm is beautiful and the sites are far enough, that you are completely private. We brought a little projector to watch movies under the stars. The river access is remarkable. Thank you for our trip and we will be returning.

Site Five - Ellie's Favorite
We had such a great time at Ellie’s Favorite! The camp site was a great size for 4 of us and a dog. There were a few other people at the other sites but we were far enough away that we couldn’t see or hear them the entire trip unless we walked by! We will definitely be back!

We love tent camping here! This was our first time at this site but we have stayed at another site as well. Cannot recommend enough to everyone. The site is far enough away from the others that it's like being on your own in the woods. The river is a few steps away and has amazing fishing that the kids loved. My dogs love it here as well. Communication is amazing. We will def be back many times! Such an amazing place to camp!

Beautiful land to enjoy. Several sites along the monocacy river to fish and explore gorgeous views. We had to off road a bit to get to our site and to use the bathroom- which was fun at first until we needed to drive each time to use the spot a pot. The roadway nearby is a little noisy- probably my at any site- but earplugs our second night helped.
We saw an owl, blue heron, fox and many deer. The stargazing was excellent. Our dog ran off leash and was in heaven- although - we seemed to be the only campers there- so not sure how well that would go with other sites booked.
The host was very nice when he stopped by with his pup Ellie.
There is a 7-11 not far for necessities if you forget something or need ice.
Plenty of dry starter wood around the site and the host had some on an other site to use for free. The water seems clean and easy to access for filtering.

I loved the tent camping experience at Riverside Farm (North Site). The owner was very responsive, which made the stay even better. I also appreciated its closeness to Cunningham Falls State Park, where we enjoyed a hiking trip.

Site two was wonderful, with lots of space and privacy, even without any leaves growing on the trees (yet). Other campsites were arranged so that we didn’t have a direct sight line to any other campers. It was very easy to navigate to the site using the directions and signage provided. Site two has easy access to the creek which our dog Archie LOVED, and it was a very short walk down a well maintained path to the riverside, which Archie loved even more. We got to see foxes, bats, owls, and a heron all on site. Our pup didn’t want to leave, so we started planning our next visit to Riverside Farm on the way home!
