Tent site · Sleeps 10Fool's Grove is my lazy two-acre homestead, perfect for the first time camper. There is a dwarf fruit tree orchard, blackberries, blueberries, figs, and a pollinator garden. I often have deer in my yard, groundhogs live under the garage, and occasionally a flock of wild turkeys visits. Past campers have told me that I have "excellent bird diversity" in my orchard. I keep Fool's Grove as organic as possible and avoid the use of chemicals. There are no unpleasant-smelling chicken farms near me, I promise! Our camping experience is "Primitive Plus" because I do have shared electricity, a shared chemical toilet, shared water (hose), and a shared kitchenette (in the garage). For bathing, an affordable option I encourage campers to bring is a "Simple Shower". Upon arrival park up by the garage. A very short walk behind the garage will take you to our camping site which sits between the solar panels and the grapes. It includes a small fire pit, several chairs, and a cable tie for pets. This site is roughly equivalent to the State Park "Group Sites". In fact, Fool's Grove is available for outdoor religious ceremonies, such as celebrations of the equinoxes and solstices, and weddings. We also offer a primitive kitchenette in our garage which includes a mini-fridge, drip coffee makers, toaster ovens, and fire starting and first aid supplies. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. On your arrival day, please text us to let us know your ETA so we can arrange to greet you. Rabies-vaccinated dogs are welcome. Please keep your dog on a leash and clean up after your dog. The mowed perimeter of the property is a great place for a long dog walk and is about .25 miles. Please check out my "Extras" including firewood, woodfire cooking tools, laundry services, musical performances, baby trees and fruit, when in season.
