NOTE: GOOSE PARADISE, FROG NOOK, RABBIT RUN, and DUCK HILL (Parking is available on these four sites) NOTE: BEAR HOLLOW, SQUIRREL HIDEAWAY, AND BOBCAT ISLAND (You will need to transport your camping gear to these three sites). This homestead operates solely on solar power and is completely off-grid, featuring chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. Guests can savor fresh eggs, as well as vegetables from the greenhouse and garden, which they are welcome to pick themselves. Additionally, there is a natural spring-fed pond spanning 2 acres, where guests can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and pedal boating with all equipment, including paddles and life jackets, provided on site. All sites are within walking distance of a very clean restroom, which is equipped with a flush toilet, a sink with running water, and a solar-powered light that turns on automatically. Additionally, there is an ample supply of toilet tissue and paper towels, and it also smells good too! NOTE: NO SHOWER AVAILABLE Each tent site features a fire pit and a picnic table. Guests can take pleasure in the hiking trails or venture into the woods to discover the natural beauty of this 25-acre homestead. Relax by the pond and watch for beavers, raccoons, blue herons, and even eagles. Enjoy the sound of the natural spring well as its ice-cold water is pumped to the homestead using solar power. Searching for and eating blueberries, wild strawberries, and blackberries can be a delightful activity. Savor the cool evenings by stargazing, observing fireflies, and listening to the chorus of frogs and owls. Conveniently located just minutes away are Home Depot, Walmart, various restaurants, shopping centers, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, antique stores, the historic Downtown Ellsworth, and the ocean!!

On the edge of the site is an erratic, a granite rock, carried and dropped here as the ice age glaciers receded from this area about ten thousand years ago.

Mike & Cheryl's place was beyond my expectation's! My first time ever camping and in a tent! I loved their place so much I extended my time! They made me feel comfortable and helped with anything I may have needed. Their place is magical in so many ways - the views, the rustic & natural setting the way nature was intended! I expected to see a hobbit or pooh around every bend on the amazing trails around the pond! I felt complete serenity either walking or sitting by my campfire! Mike has fresh cut fire wood available on site! He has thoughtfully designed the campsites throughout his property along with Cheryl's help! They have made a truly wonderful place for campers to engage within the property-on the pond or trails or your campsite etc. I felt grateful and blessed by their surroundings & friendship! I made many awesome memories! I will definetly be back again!

For my first experience ever camping, and with a tent, I am so grateful I chose Mike & Cheryl's private oasis! I felt like I had entered "The Hundred-Acre Wood" combined with a bit of the 'Shire' expecting to see a hobbit or Pooh around a bend on their trails... Least to say the bar has been set very high for my future camping expeditions! The views around their pond and property are like a postcard! It is hard to fully describe how comfortable, beautiful, surprising, and welcoming their place is ...truly SERENDIPITY! Mike & Cherly are extra special hosts & stewards of their slice of nature in order to bless us campers! Thank you for your vision & all your hard work designing this place! Thank you for my epic experiences! My 'first' camping moments & memories have filled my heart to overflowing! I will return again! Tricia (Ohio)
