Our small, organic family farm was established in 2013 by two back-to-the earth folks with careers in the corporate sector who also backgrounds in gardening & farming. We wanted to raise our own organic, wholesome food and be good stewards of the land. We raise rare breed heritage poultry and turkeys for their eggs. (We never butcher our birds for meat. They are family.) Tommy Toones (a heritage Blue Slate turkey) adopted us during turkey hunting season 3 years ago. He was living on his own in the forest near the farmhouse watching us for about 10 days. He liked what he saw: chickens following us across the lawns, 4 cats following me around the house. It felt like a safe place so he began peering into the windows and glass doors - watching our every move - and calling us. The rest is history. In the spring of 2018, I found him a very young Heritage Blue Slate Jenny we named Cocoa. Tommy lives with Cocoa and his 3 daughters in his own special enclosure on the farm. And just like Walmart has its greeter, so do we. Tommy may greet you when you arrive. He's big, but don't worry, he's a sweetheart and one of us is always with him. And - if you're female, he will surely try to impress. We also raise certified organic vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbs.

    Maureen is a great host! Her property is lovely and not too far from Portland if you wanted to check out the city for a bit. Maureen provided us with a delicious basket of fresh organic food & was very welcoming when we arrived. Would stay here again!

    Wild campsite near Farm lawn
    Perfect place to pitch a tent !
    Maureen and the campsite were both remarkable. We arrived late and she stayed up to ensure we arrived safely and found the campsite. The site itself was perfect. When we woke up, Maureen gave us a tour of the property which is truly a delight & filled with so many wonderful birds. We met Tommy Toones who was the real deal. Can’t recommend highly enough! Thanks for everything Maureen, we will be back.

    Great host, great place!
    We loved camping at Maureen’s place. Great tent area with picnic table, fire ring, firewood, fresh greens, tomatoes and cinnamon rolls, all organic! We thank her for the amazing hospitality!

    Lovely forest spot
    This site was lovely, tucked in the woods behind their bird and fruit farm. It’s in a neighborhood, but quietly in the woods behind the house. Plenty of privacy, you can see the other site off through the woods but it’s pretty far. The site was clean and well maintained and the host was friendly and welcoming. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Portland, a great spot if you’re looking to stay near the city for a reasonable price!

    The farm is beautiful and the camping site for the tent as well. The hosts are very nice and reactive to arrive. I would definitely recommend !
