We are an organic farm with 28 acres. There are a couple of ponds, a barn and other outbuildings. There are 2 seasonal streams bordering the property. We have a dog, 3 cats and quite a few chickens. Guests are welcome to pick seasonal products from the farm for free. Branch lake state park is a 10 min drive, Acadia National park is 1h drive, and there is a river for canoeing just a few minutes down the road.Welcome to Bald Mountain Farm, a 28 acre property featuring woods, pasture, an old heritage orchard, a wild blueberry patch, ponds and streams. The yurt has a beautiful view and faces the sunset. Right behind the yurt you will find a trail to the top of the mountain where you can see all the way to Katahdin on a clear day. The yurt has a double bed, a small couch, a coffee table, and a woodstove. It has electricity and a hot plate to heat up your food or drinks. We provide drinking water, coffee and tea. The outhouse is right behind it. Depending on the season, you will be able to pick fruits from our organic farm. There is a stream to follow to explore, some beautiful night skies to observe without much light pollution, a pond where you can dip your toes if you're not afraid of frogs. We offer a few farm goods: Jam ($5/half pint) Eggs ($3/dozen) Sourdough loaves ($7/loaf) Bread needs to be order at least a couple of days ahead of time as it takes 2/3 days to make it, but we sometimes have a loaf in the freezer, just ask.
