Near Acadia National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Schoodic Woods Campground.
The Point is located in Gouldsboro, in Downeast Maine on the Schoodic Peninsula near the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park on occupied Wabanaki land. The point is our home, offered to guests as a place for seekers of peace and solace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with the planet that sustains us. A priority here for me is keeping this land pristine and respected. Our mission to save and protect our natural environment and keep it natural and wild can only be accomplished with the active mindfulness of you. We aim to prove that hipcamp can be a magical experience for private landowners and campers alike, to provide a means of temporal community and beneficial alternative to traditional campgrounds; one that does not degrade the environment and break the peace that small towns still contain. Please be mindful of the trash you generate and mindful of the noise you are making— we aim to provide seekers of peace a *quiet* time in nature. Together we are here to be an example to others of what mindful camping can look like in this changing world. Thanks for caring to come, see, explore, learn and being apart of the solution! <3 We hope to hear from you <3

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
Beautiful place to wake up. Rustic, right on the ocean! We didn’t encounter anyone during our stay which made it feel like we had our own private beach. Loved our stay. Hipcamp is where it’s at!

Mixed feelings
Me & my partner had an overall good experience. The view is to die for ( keep an eye out we got lucky enough to see many seals which was amazing) the area is quiet and peaceful and Lily the host is very sweet, we loved her. However, we have mixed feelings about the A frame. We found it to be a little unkept for (we camp a lot and never expect a glamping experience) nonetheless on first arrival we found the cabin smelly & it got progressively worse as the days went by, the smell was moldy like. We were turned off by the look of the dirty old moist carpet and old still water from two dead flower in vases. These things visibly contributed to the mouldy smell and was quite unwelcoming even for a rustic camping experience. We're okay with outdoorsy stuff but because this was in a tight space it was affecting the quality of air so we preferred spending most of our time outside.

Starry-nite Farmhaus Woods on Ocean
Beautiful spot right next to the water. Fire pit rings worked great, and didn’t see anyone else there while camping. Great spot, highly recommended!

Starry-nite Farmhaus Woods on Ocean
Great spot
This spot was very private and absolutely stunning. The swimming was great, and we even heard singing seals from a nearby island. The trails were easily acceptable and a great walk.

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
There's a reason we keep coming back to this beautiful place on the water. Even in the rain, it was magic. Paddleboarded with some seals and enjoyed watching ocean creatures and birds as the tides went in and out. Lily is a great host, available as needed but leaves you to enjoy the space. Another lovely stay!

Off-grid Oceanfront A-frame Cabin
This site is an absolute hidden gem. It’s charming and right on the ocean. You fall asleep and wake up to the waves lapping on the shore and it’s so quiet and peaceful. 12/10 recommend.
