the campsite was clean and beautiful when we arrived, we had a thoughtful note from Kathleen and a small bottle of local maple syrup! She let me know we could use their kayaks and paddle board which we did and enjoyed on the beautiful river. The site is across an open field from the farm, so not totally secluded but far enough away to feel private. In site 1 we had a propane grill, a traditional fire pit, as well as a propane fire pit. Two Adirondack chairs under a covered awning were perfect when it started to rain in the morning! The site also had a lovely swing hanging from the tree and a proper dining table with hay bale chairs. Our expectations were way exceeded and we would definitely return!

Beautiful place, right on the river. Quiet and secluded but close enough to town to be able to pick up anything you need! Host was very quick to respond to any questions I had and made us feel welcome with a little handwritten note! Great place to spend a summer night!

Fantastic experience. The campsite was thoughtfully and beautifully prepared with fire ring, firewood and fire starting materials, citronella candle, outdoor rug, camp chairs, picnic table with umbrella, gas grill with its own covering, view of the river, clean porta potty, a 5 gallon jug of cold water, boat dock with multiple kayaks, and of course the horses. Kathleen also left a hand written note and a small bottle of maple syrup with instructions for where to find the fresh ripe blueberry shrubs to go with it. Incredible.

The campsite was super easy to locate and in a beautiful spot! We camped for one night and saw an amazing sunset over the field. We were worried about noise from the road but found that the traffic calmed at a decent hour. We woke up early and paddle boarded.

When I first pulled up to the campsite where I thought I was supposed to go, I was confused. Because it looked like a site belonging to campers who lived there most of the summer? A shade gazebo. A propane gas fire pit. A wood fire ring. A table. Adirondack chairs. Camping chairs. A propane gas grill. Bug spray. Citronella candles. Wood. Fatwood fire starters and matches. Did I mention the swing hanging from the tree? Or the kayaks? And, of course, if there are kayaks, there would be a tiny dock and several life vests at hand. A large, handicap-accessible porta potty, uber-clean and fresh smelling. Water in a giant jug…. Well, this turned out to be MY campsite. Is six stars a thing?

We had a great two nights camping on Kathleen’s farm. There were so many horses we could say hello to and we took out a two person kayak on the river which was great. Also they have the nicest outhouse I’ve ever been to that wasn’t for a wedding. Kathleen was very attentive but not intrusive in any way. She supplied water, a table with shade. Spot #1 has the most shade and has solar lights and a tree swing. The best part was sitting under the big open sky at night star gazing. 30 minute drive to Portland, quiet rural area. Super cute. Would absolutely recommend camping here!

Amazing! Gorgeous, bucolic setting. Spacious area for our van with our own grill and fire pit. Beautiful river- plus boats to use!!! And the horses. Just magnificent.

Such a beautiful, serene spot. Kathleen was extremely accommodating, friendly, and responded quickly to any questions we had. The site was clean and comfortable, with so much to do and see. There were kayaks to use, which we did the whole weekend. We came to greet the horses often, and are lucky to have perfect weather. I knew this spot would be great, but turned out even better than expected! Thank you SO much.

We loved camping at Kathleen’s farm. The sites are spacious and well kept. Access directly to the Saco River footsteps away from camp. Beautiful farm. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at Kathleen's! Kathleen has been an amazing host, we did a very last minute booking and she accomodated us! The campsite is super well located right next to the river, clean, cozy and we'll furnished! Wood and clean water are available at the site! We'll be back here!
