Enjoyed the stay, but lots of ATVs
This campsite is at the Narrow Gauge Riders ATV club picnic area & shed, at the corner of a junction of several ATV trails - and they were used heavily throughout the day during my stay. If you’re into ATVing, this is the site for you! Direct out of your tent access to trails, ample grassy areas to park and move trailers, a hut to
escape rain, and fellow ATVers cruising by. The site and camp are as described, but for me just not as remote wilderness sounding & feeling as I had hoped. There was a bustle of activity throughout the day, not only ATVers but others at permanent camps or tree harvesting sites nearby. Things quieted down by around 9 PM, and it was a peaceful wilderness-like night after that and the star gazing was simply amazing. Just FYI… there’s a charcoal grill and fireplace on site, but no racks to cook on, so bring ur own. And, you’ll definitely want a vehicle with good clearance for the approx. 2-mile ride in on the 2-track roads.
