Six acres of trails, stream frontage, peaceful or fun. Mountain biking, dirt biking, ATV, fishing, seasonal kayaking. Close to I95, the mid coast, Bar Harbor, Bangor, Winterport Drag-way. Just getting started. Looking for campers to feel peace of mind at RGP. Come set up your stuff and have a good time.Pitch your own tent or small dwelling. Bring your outdoor stuff or just keep it basic. Think of Serenity and a peaceful morning. There is plenty to do outdoors here. Currently building trails to hike, bike, and dirt bikes. This is a reclaimed gravel pit. It is a wonderful place to spend some time away from the race against time. Close to variety of things to see in Maine. Mt Waldo Old Quarry Pit is one of them. Very uniquely beautiful place. I am usually within an hour of the site and willing to do what I can to make sure the time spent on this site was a good memory.

Safe and Primitive Solo Camping
John’s site was absolutely perfect! This was my first experience with Hipcamp and I wasn’t sure what to expect, however John exceeded my expectations. He met me at the car to show me the layout of the property and where I’d be camping, and from there gave me space to explore and enjoy solitude. He was the perfect combination of an attentive host that wasn’t overbearing! Beautiful stream right next to the site, pre-made fire ring, and lighting/lantern supplies provided. My only issues were the mosquitos and lack of cell service (obviously both out of his control). John provided pre-filled tiki torches with citronella oil that did the trick for the bugs, and a simple drive up the street gave me cell service- just something to keep in mind. As a female solo camper, I am not quick to let my guard down, so a feeling of safety is one of my biggest concerns… John absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to come back!
