Restore inner peace as you immerse your senses in our tranquil 170 acre landscape of Central Maine woods and waterways, located directly off the ITS 84 Rec Trail– 5 min from I95 (exit 150). Once home to a thriving primitive campground, Nature’s Way, nestled along a private half-mile on Douglas Pond, we take pride in retaining that original camp charm while supplying upgrades and necessities to ensure your stay is enjoyable and memorable! Local trails provide great opportunities for hikers, bikers and snowmobilers to get out and play. Easy access to I95 provides a home base for your other Maine adventures and events. We are proud to be stewards of this land, recognized as the Wabanaki Territory in origin. Our sacred space is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including songbirds, rare native bird species, deer, and unique and distinct fish populations. We are additionally proud to be cannabis caregivers here in Maine, devoted to living soil-grown, rare genetics and terpene-rich strains that express the medicinal power of the plants, particularly pertaining to the endocannabinoid system’s function within the human body. Outpost: Our outpost is located ½ way to the cabin/campsite area and across from the event field. Offerings rotate seasonally to include in-house-made goods and services. We are also happy to offer cannabis caregiver services on site with a diverse selection of small batch flower and other THC/CBD products to enjoy while finding your Peace Of Maine. We occasionally host unique events and services that will be announced on our social media pages and may be requested for small groups with prior arrangements made. These options include, but are not limited to, healing sessions incorporating massage, natural aesthetics and energy work, customized ritual and ceremony, and multimodal movement and meditation offerings. WE DO NOT allow hunting or foraging on the property. WE DO allow fishing.

Each campsite has a tent platform, fire/cooking grate, picnic table, private outhouse and shared access to the waterfront clearing for morning coffee or late night star gazing! Please be respectful of other guests who may share this special spot with you. The campsites are far enough away for privacy, yet close enough for larger groups to combine forces and create the cozy woodland getaway of their dreams! The location could not be more ideal. We are central to Maine's beautiful state and national parks including Acadia, Camden Hills, Lake George, and more, all in driving distance. Come one, come all to this inclusive, friendly, peaceful and private no-frills sanctuary.

Address: 43 Ringwood Road Palmyra, ME 04965 ***Please enter our property off of Ringwood Road, not the ITS 84 Recreational Trail (some GPS systems suggest the trail as an entry point). The Rec trail road is used only for ATVs, UTVs, and horseback. *** Upon entering Ringwood Road, please follow signage to the campsite/cabin locations. You will pass two private homes on the right. After that, you will come to a field opening (our event space) where you will find our Outpost, approximately halfway down our farm road. After stopping at the Outpost to see what our current offerings are and grab any wood bundles you need to purchase, continue until you come to the ITS-84 Rec trail. Please stop and look both ways for ATVs, etc. Continue straight across to our riverfront locations. Follow the clearly marked signs to Campsite Birch or Spruce. RECREATION & GROUNDS: NO HUNTING OR FORAGING OR WOOD COLLECTING ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY- Thank you! Fishing is allowed and encouraged, as we have some of the most sought after fishing in the area! Please extinguish your campfire at night before retiring to bed Please use galvanized trash cans at your campsite for all trash and gather bags and bring to trash cans THE OUTHOUSE: Located halfway between cabin and campsites and is shared by all guests. A path will be lit with solar lights at night. We supply a hemp hand sanitizer at the outhouse.

Our rustic one room eco-cabin is equipped with all the creature comforts you need to create a relaxing stay in this unplugged environment. We supply a full outdoor kitchen area with cast iron cookware, griddle and fire pit cook grate along with an additional 2-burner propane cookstove, stovetop friendly cookware, kettle and plate settings for four. Visit our Outpost for other offerings we have available for purchase to create a campfire meal to remember or take home a memory from Maine!

Lovely little red cabin

Leketa is a great host. When we arrive she took time to drive to our cabin and make sure we have everything we need. She was very responsive throughout our stay. The cabin itself was lovely and the lake was so peaceful.

I only stayed one night, but it was absolutely terrific. The spot is beautiful, peaceful, and really well cared for. You can tell Leketa and Hillary put a lot of thought into the small touches — it made all the difference. I’m so happy I got to experience it, even briefly, and I’ll definitely make the time to come back someday.

Little Red Cabin Private Waterfront
We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin was cozy with everything we needed for cooking right on hand. Super easy to get to, which made the trip more relaxing. The location was prime, about 100 yards of waterfront to enjoy, with sunny mornings and shady afternoons that were perfect for hanging out. Our two dogs had the best time. We’d absolutely come back!

We loved tenting here! Our site was private and serene. Porta potty is very clean and a short walk from the sites. We loved spending time on the pond and being woken up by the loon calls. As other reviewers have mentioned, the doughnuts are amazing!

Really nice site, very well kept and clean. Little bit of a rough drive on in from the main road, just to be aware- nothing tricky. Felt special with the couple extra amenities and was perfect for night on a long road trip. Thanks so much!

The swimming area needs work was over grown with weeds. There were clam shells and faces from geese. It did not feel like a good swimming area. I loved the camp sight it fit my needs very well :) some tie downs fo the platform would have been nice for my tent. If it was windy my tent would have been in the trees.

The little red cabin was a nice place to stay. The river access is prime and the fishing was excellent. Coffee with the warm sun on your face while kids ran wild felt good. Leketa is fantastic and has lots to offer for your stay, we were glad we did.

Little Red Cabin Private Waterfront
The Little Red Cabin has a beautiful view of the water from it's porch. Leketa and Hillary have it well stocked with cookware, stove, and wash area. There's an outpost with all kinds of useful items available for purchase. The fishing is great and I suggest renting the canoe for better access and sunrise views. The bed was comfy. We spotted an eagle in the morning. The loons serenaded us to sleep. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

We loved every part of this place! The cabin is cute, it's in a wicked beautiful setting, tons of amenities. I'm used to more bare-bones camping and therefore over-packed -- we didn't need half the stuff we brought because Leketa and Hillary thought of basically everything. They were also very friendly and kind, gave great directions, and had helpful tips for our stay in the area (like swimming in Lake George, and Vittles for breakfast). Loons were around pretty much the whole time, and we also saw deer, bald eagles, geese, fish, frogs, and turtles. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Having camped since the 90s, I can confidently say Leketa’s campground in the Maine woods is the best I’ve ever experienced. My family and I had an amazing time, and so much of that is thanks to Leketa herself. She’s not just the owner; she’s a hard worker with an outstanding vibe and energy, who has poured her heart into creating this incredible place. You can truly feel her dedication and the unique energy she brings, making you feel deeply connected to the Maine woods. The campground offers private sites near Douglas Pond with endless water access, and I’ve never caught so many fish in my life! This peaceful, wildlife-filled sanctuary is masterfully managed by Leketa, an truly awesome woman. We felt incredibly safe and connected with nature, and I’ll be returning as much as I can.

The camping experience went above and beyond with a host like LEKETA. Provided a wonderful cabin stocked with everything we needed to cook and the outpost had everything we needed for campfires. My wife and I can't wait to go again!

Leketa was a wonderful host. Our site was huge and there was a nice distance between sites. We couldn't even hear our neighbors. My kids had a great time fishing and exploring the land. Listening to the loons was heavenly. We will return again.

GREAT tentsite! Leketa was a fantastic host and her tent sites are wonderful. We definitely had to drive slow on the way in; our Subaru Impreza had juuuust enough clearance. We look forward to staying again!

The exemplary "cabin in the Maine woods" experience for the benefit of my sister from Florida.. The availability of our host and the amenities provided and available were stellar. The extensive list of things to do in the area (if you wanted to leave the cabin and it's beautiful surroundings, which, why would you?) and the information regarding each one was very thorough, personal and well thought out. Fantastic little camping spot by the pond. It was exactly the peaceful, relaxing getaway we needed. We woke up and fell asleep to loon calls. We walked up the trail to the Outpost to eat fresh donuts in the morning -- They're incredible btw, you should stay here just for the donuts. The shared shoreline is small and you can hear the highway, but it still feels magical watching bald eagles soaring over the water. The site and the outhouse were immaculate.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip to little red! We stayed twelve days and would absolutely go back. Hosts were wonderful, cabin was charming and comfortable, lake was absolutely beautiful, the land and space were perfect and exactly what we needed It was so clear that a lot of love and intention was put into every detail of the cabin and space. We felt very welcome and comfortable there! We were not at all ready to leave!!!

Got some peace of mind over with the folks at peace of Maine! Camp sites are large and spaced far enough apart so that you feel like you’re the only one out there! Fishing is otherworldly; a catch just about every cast! Plenty of trails to adventure on. Spotted multiple varieties of fungus. Saw some cool birds. A+ on the outhouse. Will be back!

Can’t say enough great things about this site!! My girlfriend and I rented the canoe and caught over 20 fish!!! It was so much fun. Beautiful private space, helpful hosts and my dog had the time of his life swimming in the water nearby. Would 100% be back and would recommend to anyone!

Leketa’s land is soooo beautiful! We had a group of 5 and it was so spacious. The bugs were definitely overwhelming but that had everything to do with the rainy weather. We thought we’d be able to swim at the site but instead we traveled to a pond about 45 minutes away(there are closer swimming holes). It was called Tyler Pond in Augusta Maine and it was so lowkey, beautiful, also highly recommend. This site is in a nice location with everything around 10-15 minutes away on average. It was so private, quiet and peaceful. Everything was so clean & up-kept. Honestly would recommend to anybody! Next time we will be renting kayaks & going out into the beautiful pond on site. The views were immaculate both day and night. Truly loved this site. Thank you Leketa for having us, we cant wait to stay again!!

This cabin was so lovely and peaceful to visit. My husband and I stayed here one night on our 10 year wedding anniversary trip on our way to Acadia National Park. It was absolutely perfect for us. Our favorite part was seeing the extraordinary sunrise over the water!

Perfect getaway! Our weekend getaway was exactly what we needed. Our pup was able to roam freely and we were able to enjoy solitude and nature. Leketa’s space and added extra touches made this spot absolutely perfect for us. We for sure will be back!

Leketa is a phenomenal host and her site is equally amazing! Spent one night at the site with 10 other adult campers and there was plenty of room to spare. Massive firepit, cooking supplies, a cozy cabin, and tons of waterfront property. Bring your kayak for a paddle on the pond and say hi to the loons! Hope to go back again for a more extended stay. Look no further than Peace of Maine for an exceptional camping experience.
