Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping

We went tent camping on Jeff and Cathy's land. Jeff and Cathy were wonderful hosts. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday gift and they went next level by decorating our picnic area with birthday decorations and a personalized card. They also gave our boys two painted pumpkins to bring home. I didn't know I'd find hospitality at a campground, but Jeff and Cathy delivered. All of the sites offer good privacy so you don't feel like you're stacked on top of another family. The bathhouse is kept super clean. This was our first overnight tent night with our children and it went spectaculary! Thank you Jeff and Cathy. We'll be back.

I can’t wait to come back! My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this. The set up was perfect, Jeff and Cathy have gone above and beyond with making sure their guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. We stayed in the Owls Nest, it was super cozy. There was a whole outdoor kitchen set up with all the kitchen supplies you need. They supplied fire wood, kindling and fire starter! They had jugs of water, a very nice clean bathroom set up. There is a lot of cute animals around too, we saw a few deer, and a porcupine with its baby! We were so impressed with Jeff and Cathy’s hospitality and can’t wait to come stay in the Owls Nest next season :)

Jeff & Cathy are kind and lovely hosts. Their campground is wonderful. It has everything you could want and need at a campground. It was awesome to catch up, hike, and cook with one of my childhood friends in rural Maine without having to worry about setting up camp. I’ll take staying at this campsite over staying at a hotel/motel or a large campground. I’ll definitely be back.

10/10 Campground

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience here! It was a particularly hot week when we went and Cathy was gracious enough to come each day and swap our rechargeable fans with hers so we could stay cool. Jeff & Cathy made us feel incredibly safe + welcomed and gave great recommendations for places in the area. Aside from amazing hosts the campground itself was beautiful, well maintained, and serene. The hard work and love they have put into this place does not go unnoticed. The bathrooms and sink station were the nicest I’ve seen at a campground before and decorated so cutely! Overall a beautiful place I would recommend to anybody and would love to go back :)

This is honestly one of the prettiest campsites we’ve ever stayed at! It’s rustic in the best way, but still has everything you need to feel comfortable. We stayed at Chickadee Corner over the weekend and had such a great time. Jeff and Cathy greeted us when we arrived, gave us a quick tour, and answered all our questions. They’re the sweetest people and you can tell they’ve put so much love and effort into every part of the campground. It's lovely! The bathrooms were super clean and so cute! We also loved that firewood was included—it made our nights by the fire even better. Everything felt easy, peaceful, and cozy. We would love to stay in the treehouse next time! Peaceful nature getaway

Beautiful spot for a peaceful getaway surrounded by a forest. Perfect for nature lovers; lots of wildlife and biodiversity. The facilities are excellent—everything was super clean and thoughtfully designed. The host provided everything we needed and then some (even lanterns, anchors for the tent platform, insect zapper, citronella candle, dish soap, water, firewood, hand soap, and toiletries). It’s completely off grid but we didn’t miss a thing. There are several lakes nearby which are perfect for swimming and kayaking; we also went on a lovely hike. The area isn’t very touristy, which we liked. Strongly recommend this site.

We absolutely loved our stay over the weekend here. We stayed on chickadee corner. Jeff and Cathy greeted us apon arrival and gave us a quick tour and answered any questions we had. They are very sweet people who put a lot of effort into these camp sites. The bathrooms were very clean and adorable. The best part was that while we were out during the day we received a message asking if we needed any supplies at the camp. Fire wood is provided, which was awesome. I would love to come back and stay at the tree house next time.

What a lovely campsite! If you grew up camping in a tent but are a little older and want the same experience with a comfy bed this spot is for you! Jeff and Cathy are lovely hosts. They have thought of everything. They check in with you through the app in the morning to see if you need anything that day. They have toiletries in case you forget to pack something, provide you with ample fire wood, propane stove and all cooking utensils needed. The space itself is quite large and spaced far enough away from the next site which is hidden behind some trees. We liked that the space was all grass which our pup loved too! Be aware that you are in the woods and there are bugs including ticks so be vigilant on checks. Owls next is a fantastic quiet well maintained space. 10/10 would visit again.

Great stay at Porcupine Creek!

I loved Jeff and Cathy's campsite! You meet them in person when you arrive and they give yku a quick tour. They are a super friendly and helpful couple. The campsite itself has a small number of sites, which is amazing because it won't be full of screaming children or annoying adults playing music all night long. The site has bathrooms, a shower room, and in general is extremely tidy and well kept. Overall I would highly recommend this site to anyone and I will be staying there again. Rustic camping w all the amenities!

This was one of the best camp sites I’ve ever stayed at. Cathy and Jeff were so kind and greeted us at the site even when traffic made us late for check in. Even though we had campers directly to the left of us, the site was spaced out/secluded enough that you could barely notice. The campsite came equipped with everything you could need, firewood (& starter material), bug zapper racket, lights, covered picnic table, fire pit with a grill, non-potable water, and even shower bags. Speaking of showers, the bathroom facilities were so nice! Our hosts were also always available in case we needed anything. Can’t recommend this place enough! Thanks Jeff and Cathy!

We booked this site for 2 nights and had a fantastic experience! The restrooms were impressively clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. The layout of the property shows thoughtful planning, offering privacy while still being accessible. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and private place to camp, this is the spot. We loved it and will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend for both large groups and peaceful solo or couple stays.

Jeff and Kathy were fantastic hosts and I would highly recommend staying in their lovely campsite. I stayed in the owls nest tent which was very clean and comfortable and had a nice kitchen area outside. I felt very welcome and safe as Jeff and Kathy often checked to see if I needed anything. Very nice hosts and a beautiful campsite. Would love to stay there again.

This campground is such a special place. The sites are large and private from each other, and the bathrooms were always clean and well-stocked. Cathy and Jeff were great hosts and always available to answer a question. Spend time here to fall asleep to frog song and wake up to bird song.

What a wonderful stay! The group site was beautiful with plenty of space to set up many tents (and still have privacy if wanted). And there is still tons of space for kids to play active running games! The fire pit is large enough to have a large group close to the fire without feeling crowded, and the fire starting kit was much appreciated. The canopied tables with fresh flowers and LED lights were a special touch. The eco conscious bathroom and bathhouse is beautiful and exceptionally clean. Jeff and Cathy were on top of everything during our stay and asked daily if we needed anything. We will come back!

Amazing piece of land... super-friendly hosts. They've thought of everything, so you don't have to. Firewood, camp shower, picnic table shelter; even down to complimentary toiletries, if you need them. And the bathroom / shower situation is simply remarkable. We had a great time/stay! Cathy and Jeff were fabulous and even checked in on us to see if we needed anything. Space/tent was very clean and organized. The bathrooms were well kept and cleaner than some hotels we have stayed in. The area is remote and quiet and an easy drive to many places we want to visit. We even heard several Owls in the "Owls Nest" site we stayed at. What a treat!

Our stay at Woodchuck Acres was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Cathy, who provided us with a personal and friendly tour of the campsite. Her warm demeanor immediately made us feel welcomed and at home. The campsite itself is impressively spacious. We easily fit five tents and our SUV, with room to spare. The site also included a picnic table with a canopy, a fire pit, and plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The attention to detail in the setup truly enhanced our experience, making it feel like a perfect getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning night sky. Being away from city lights allowed us to soak in the beauty of the stars—an experience that was both serene and awe-inspiring. It’s the kind of peaceful connection with nature that makes this campsite stand out. Jeff and Cathy go above and beyond to ensure their guests have everything they need. They checked in with us daily, provided shower bags, and even offered free wood and toiletries, which was incredibly thoughtful in case we had forgotten anything. Their commitment to their guests’ comfort is truly commendable. Overall, Woodchuck Acres is a well-kept, beautiful campsite that offers a perfect blend of peace, nature, and hospitality.
