A modest 18th-century brick Italianate shotgun-style home on a small, sustainable urban homestead, just blocks from downtown Louisville attractions, universities, hospitals, and entertainment districts. The home once served as a Sunday school space for Muhammad Ali’s boyhood church. It features a primary bedroom with a queen bed and an additional loft sleeping space. The backyard opens to natural plantings, fruit trees, and herb gardens, and also offers a fireplace for guests to enjoy.

Stay in one of our well-equipped canvas tents on a 5-acre wooded site located just steps from pristine lakes and hiking trails. The Compound at Promised Land features a wildflower garden with picnic tables, firepit and other outdoor common areas for guest to relax and mingle. Help yourself to fresh eggs from our chickens and ducks and pet the friendly goats that graze the property. Facilities include compostable toilet and outdoor rain shower, hottub as well as a small dry sauna. The communal kitchen includes a shared refrigerator for campers. Free coffee. Snacks and firewood sold on-site. The grounds are a 45-minute drive to Portland, Maine and coastal beaches and a 20-minute drive to the Lewiston-Auburn area. Hannaford supermarkets, a gas station, diner, McDonald’s and country store are less than 10 minutes. This campsite is cannabis-friendly. LGBTQ-owned and operated 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️.
