Welcome to a privately owned 200+ acre haven with miles of dirt roads to explore. This land is intended to help folks get back to the basics. Camping in Maine used to mean packing up the rig, grabbing the Maine Gazetteer and driving around until you found a vacant public campsite. Sadly, those public sites are rarely vacant anymore and you need to plan well in advance to reserve an ideal site at a state campground. Public campgrounds serve their purpose but they don't offer the backwoods camping experience that so many families enjoy. So, my family would like to introduce you to Jay Birds Way. Conveniently located at the top of Murray Street and only a couple minutes from downtown Bingham. The winding dirt roads are perfect for a bike ride or hike. Watch your dog flush a partridge or your little ones explore beautiful Jackson brook. Quiet solitude is what you will find here. There are no motorized sports allowed on this property. Sorry, but ATV access is not available. North Country Rivers is only 5 minutes away for your rafting experience or to visit Patrick's Pub. Wyman lake has a wonderful public swimming area and boat launch 15 minutes away in Pleasant Ridge and the Bingham Kennebec River boat launch is just a few minutes away. Bingham in centrally located to some of western Maine's favorite destinations such as Rangely, Sugarloaf, Flagstaff Lake, Jackman and beautiful Moosehead Lake.Little Nook is tucked away approximately a mile onto our private property and yet easily accessible with any vehicle. Beautiful Jackson Brook winds along the back of the site. Depending on the amount of rain and season, Jackson can be anywhere from fairly deep and fishable to a quiet babbling brook. There is a platform large enough for a 4 person tent and plenty of space to pitch tents elsewhere. A picnic table and firepit are provided. The outhouse is just a short walk down the road. There are no hook ups available at this site and it is carry in/carry out. Dogs are always welcome, please just clean up after them. You're welcome to bring a hand saw to burn downed branches. Please just don't cut the trees or peel the bark. We are working on a couple more sites, but as of spring 2025, Little Nook is the only site on the property.

Camping on Amber's land was exactly as described - quiet and absolutely stunning! The brook was still running in a few places during our stay giving a little background noise, and we had some turkeys swing in for a visit right before we headed out on our last day. Exploring the roads through the property was peaceful and well worth it. All of the little extras for starting a fire and camping comfortably were very much appreciated. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who wants to get away but still stay near town and connected!

10/10 recommend! Great spot, secluded yet right outside of town. We saw 2 deer on the way in! Site was exactly as pictured, bathroom was clean. Will definitely return!!

So peaceful, private, beautiful and a great location! I came up here to get away from the city and spend the day at Moosehead Lake which is a little over an hour away. Great site, thank you!

We prepare and we plan, and this spot provides! An absolute secluded spot (only a whisper of in town noises) a platform that held up our rain tent and more than enough room to find coverage under the trees for our tent! With nothing less than a spring/summer nor’easter for our first camping trip of the year. We planned for the worst, and got the best! A small enclosure for the wood we found in town, a fire ring, and an absolutely outstanding outhouse. We are far from glamping people, so we don’t mind a few things that we have to accommodate for. But holy moly, does this one take the cream of the crop with our 40+ years combined…when it’s time to go, you want this one. Bring your potable water and that’s all you’ll need! Will absolutely recommend and stay again!

Site was very private and secluded. Nice little river just behind the site. Large tent pad. There was firewood stocked up. Pull trough site. It was a great site, will definitely be back!

We enjoyed staying at Little Nook. It was a nice pull through site. It was very quiet and secluded there. The site has a platform, fire ring, firewood, and a trash can. The owners seemed to think of everything when they set this site up. The sounds of the brook that runs behind the site was nice too.

Great secluded site! Directions were easy to follow and had little signs along the way for Little Nook. The site is right next to a nice brook and there a nice clean outhouse a short walk down the road. There is plenty to explore around this site! Would love to go back!

“Little Nook” boasts several acres of dense woodland paradise where you will find its stream-side camp site. Easy to get to with a brief ride into town (about a mile +\-). Perfect place to escape the daily hustles and just connect with/within nature. Houston Brook Falls is quick drive away, and a sight worth seeing. (Bring your hiking boots and towel for this one.) Looking for more thrill on your time away from the daily grind? Little Nook is close to a plethora of options to keep you busy. Including white water rafting, rock climbing, hiking, tubing, and so much more. I highly reccomend Little Nook to anyone!
