Nezinscot Farm began as the first Organic Dairy in the state of Maine. Through the desire to diversify and the passion for good food, Nezinscot’s owners, Gregg & Gloria Varney expanded Nezinscot Farm to encompass a Gourmet Food Shop, a Cafe and Coffee Shop, a Bakery, a Fromagerie, a Charcuterie, and a Yarn & Fiber Studio. Nezinscot Farm is located in the picturesque town of Turner, Maine surrounded by 250 acres of Organic Farmland. On the grounds, you can find acres of veggie gardens, rolling fields, farm animals, and the Nezinscot River. Nezinscot Farm is a unique must-see Maine destination. We have something for everyone, so make us your weekend retreat and enjoy a weekend to remember.

Nice camping option to a motel
Nice location, pretty view out over the river. Grassy space for a tent, not quite level, but fine. Quiet, with some distant rural road noise. Directions to the location are a bit vague (both Apple Maps and Google Maps insist on directing to South River Rd), and it took some looking around before I found the actual camp site. I arrived at 6 pm, before the requested cut-off time, but I did not actually ever meet the host. I did not know where the toilet (if there was one), or fresh water were located. Since I was pretty self-contained, this was not a crisis, but could certainly have been better. In the morning, I chatted with a very interesting couple walking by, the prior owner of the property who sold it to a land trust. Great conversation, best part of the stay. Overall, a nice stopover on a long drive.

Site #1 on Gloria's Forever Farm came equipped with kindling, larger logs, a picnic table and an atmosphere to bring bliss to your evening. In the morning, the light comes over riverbend and a walking path takes you down to more beautiful land. A 10-minute ride from the site, Gloria's farm store is one to explore and get lost in. Fresh bread, meat, eggs, jam, apothecare, hand-crafted products and much more to browse! In addition to a lovely store, the staff was friendly and accommodating — no reason not to be when the work is so beautiful! An hour outside of Portland made this weekend trip memorable and one to come back to. A camping stove was handy and be sure to make friends with the sheep's guard dog! Well run and a pleasant stay.

Sheep make funny sounds! Great Stay
Gloria runs Forever Farm. Gloria runs the Farm Cafe, where she sells her homemade cheese and her yarn. Gloria and her staff, which includes some family members and others, helped make our visit enjoyable. We camped in the unfinished Outdoor Wellness Center across from the sheep barn. Riverview. The outdoor shower had steady warm water and the portapotty was clean. Takeaway dinner of burgers and a marvelous salad, and breakfast at the farm cafe worked great for us.

Peaceful Getaway wiyh
The Forever Farm was a peaceful escape without being too far from comfort. Gloria was a wondeful host and we really enjoyed eating breakfast at the farm shop. They have amazing homemade graham crackers that were perfect for s'mores! I would suggest making sure you bring bug spray because we did pick up some ticks.

Gloria and the whole family and crew are awesome! We had a beautiful two nights at the North farm field, getting to know Minerva (the sheep dog) and the sheep. They may be chatty at first but soon they settle down for a very peaceful time. Incredible views of the Androscoggin and wonderful fields to explore. An awesome barn is being built where you can play cornhole or badminton without getting rained on! Plan to have at least one big meal at their country store bc it is delicious!
