Come relax on this private 5 acre waterfront escape. A long driveway will open up into a cleared lot. The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). The pad is mostly flat, but minor leveling on RV's is probably still needed. Site overlooks Flanders Bay which feeds into Mount Desert Narrows. Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. The cove is filled with a variety of seabirds and the occasional harbor seal. You will have complete quiet as you listen to the sounds of forest and coastal [xxxxxxxx] is located 11 miles from Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National park and a quick 35 miles from Bar Harbor. From May through mid November, site includes access to a HOT outdoor shower, well water, a working sink with hot water. Water is turned off after November 15th until late spring, weather dependent. We have installed a 50/30 AMP hookup for trailers/RV's - we do charge $15 extra per night for hookups, please coordinate with us at time of booking if you will need power for your camper - There is an electric outlet for small electronics like laptops/phones/coffee pot, site includes a campfire area, lots of open spaces to pitch a tent, and an outhouse. • Review summary

    Generated from real Hipcamper reviews

Eagle View Coastal Campground is a serene and private retreat with breathtaking ocean views, perfect for nature lovers and those seeking solitude. The outdoor shower is a standout feature, offering hot water and a refreshing experience after a day of activities. While some guests noted traffic noise from Route 1, it seems to be more noticeable during the day. However, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors eager to return for the peaceful setting and convenience of amenities like the outdoor sink and electrical outlet.

What a luxury to have hot water, not only for showers but for doing dishes. Very private…yes …you do hear the road noise but with a prime view, cove access, and excellent wildlife viewing…who cares! Thanks for sharing the space and a glimpse of your fabulous life choices.

A great site very close to the water. The water isn’t as accessible during low tide but it’s amazing to see it come in.

I'm a single woman and stayed at this beautiful secluded site with my two dogs. I felt very safe. My dogs loved being able to be off leash the whole time. We did see a porcupine on the road outside of the camp but one of my dog seeks out porcupines and did not find any! The hot shower and kitchen sink are great. The water is incredibly hot. It was also very convenient to have an electrical outlet. An earlier reviewer mentioned noise from Rt 1. I stayed Labor Day weekend and did hear some traffic noise during the day but I didn't hear it at night and I'm a light sleeper. We will definitely return.

    • Even my dog loved watching the birds
