Submitting a request does not finalize or guarantee a reservation, Which requires approval from the property. Before you make a reservation read the description of each site, choices with different options. . Read all of the info, and when you submit your request please include/verify the following info: Is everyone in your group at least 21?/No kids or pets traveling with you.? What sort or camping unit.? Tent/RoofTent/RV/Hammock/Trailer./Van./ Box Truck or creative bus conversion/Cowboy Camper…? Your reservation request will not be accepted until we have those responsesSeveral of us live/work/answer messages here. Calling, directly by telephone in advance of reserving is STRONGLY advised and it is mandatory to arrange your arrival time with the staff to be allowed entry. Clarity with your request is necessary. At check out look at the “extras” section to include any pre purchases or rentals. For those flying in or wanting to travel light, you can select “The Works” which includes a tent, bedding , firewood , towels ,chairs, a cooler and numerous camping supplies including coffee and cups. Great for spontaneous adventures and we will have the tent site ready for you to just show up. Easy! Our camping section is located on the property of Kisma Preserve. Home to abundant local wildlife and our own resident animals ,Including domestic and non domestic and our favorite, Wolves. . Most of the staff live here full time all year. The sounds of the night are magical. Unleash your imagination and camp here away from the crowds that exist within the local Acadia National Park area which begins about 5 minutes away at Thompson’s Island and the bridge to Mt Desert Island. We are close to basic necessities, and a step away from the masses. We do educational tours daily and if interested these tours are arranged by reservation too by phone or in person only. impacts everything. Or If you want to have a solid roof , screens and a fabulous view ask about reserving our Cadillac Mountain View . Traveling with your horse.? Talk to us about an Equine site. The Biker’s Bunkhouse is ideal for motorcycle travelers as it shelters both the guest and the Bike/s. Always call, we can answer all questions to get you into the right site for your style of adventuring. With each listing be sure to READ all the information and the rules. If you are interested in a spontaneous camping adventure, if your luggage got lost or if you just don’t want to deal with transporting camping gear we have a variety of rental equipment. Last minute reservation requests may not work via the reservation site but we may very likely have a space. When you send your request please answer the following questions to expedite your acceptance. Is everyone at least 21? No pets with you? What are you camping in.? This is what our staff need to know about you in advance. This is No frills at all. Camp at the edge of a small brook or close to it. There is a fire ring. Adults over 21 only. No kids allowed. These sites are the furthest from the port o potty and hose and everything else. Secluded from other campers or neighbors, this can be your chance to sit naked by the campfire or see what it is like to sleep with nothing between yourself and the stars but your skin. A Very natural part of our grounds. And our only Naked site. If unavailable on your dates please check out our other options in Camping With Wolves, which are slightly less primitive.. or the comfy Cadillac Mt View Loft and Hammock site or Biker’s Bunkhouse. Clothing is optional only in the Raw and Rough  site, you can also choose to keep clothing on ! . It is very important that you call two zero seven six six seven three two four four  to be certain we know of your reservation and arrival. If you are trying to reserve within 12 hours of arrival, the system will reject you but you can potentially call us for last minute booking. It can be arranged but YOU MUST CALL. Not use the app method of calling. It does not necessarily reach us immediately. If we are able to answer, you may be in luck if there is a no show . Do not expect luxury. You may need to walk in depending on weather and your vehicle. If the weather is above freezing, there will likely be bugs. We are Away from the crowds of the nearby National Park and about 5 minutes to the bridge if you want to go there. This site is the least suitable of our choices for Equine Camping but we can talk about it. Shower and hose unavailable during freezing weather which is generally Nov-April.This site is usually unavailable in Winter months as it becomes inaccessible. CALL before booking.

Our camping section is located on the grounds of a nonprofit animal facility near Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Hear our wolves howl and enjoy the view of Cadillac Mountain. Sites are spread over a large area ,some are easy to drive or some are a short walk to your site. We need you to be specific as to the type of site you require. Call. Motorcycles are welcome, flat safe parking available. Arrangements for hammock campers possible. Our staff lives on the grounds, our tours and daily lives will be happening. . We provide porta-potty and dumpster and an outdoor hot shower during weather above freezing. No hook up of any type. Great exposure for your own solar panels or generator use. This is a functioning Animal Preserve; we will be going about our daily routine. This is no frills primitive camping, on a very unique propertyThis is not a glamping or resort style camping location. This is , oldschool, , barebones set up your equipment, sit around your fire enjoying the stars or fending off the mosquitos. Use this as your home base while you explore all this region has to offer. We require all guests to be at least 21. Our number is two zero seven six six seven three two four four. CALL. Although reservations must be made via Hipcamp please call this number for directions and arrange for the entry. We have a variety of sites from bare naked to a comfy loft with a view. It is essential to call and especially important to call promptly if you instant book or hope to arrive after sunset. Are you just looking for a place to roll in late, sleep in your car and go to a Cadillac Mountain Sunrise appointment before dawn.? Communicate that, we can and will get you into the right fit but It is imperative that you call to be sure we know of your reservation and arrival. You also may be able to grab a canceled or last minute space but YOU MUST CALL DIRECTLY. Do Not use the app system of calling. It may not reach us immediately, if ever. Usually No outdoor shower or hose from Nov-April but camping can still be arranged if you have adequate gear for the climate. Adventure Vans and tent camping with adequate gear will be allowed on a limited basis during Winter. Which is generally November-May. CALL before you book your reservation. Do not count on gps to get you here, it is very unreliable in this area. Call get real, verbal directions and write them down or print them as you may also not have reliable phone signal.

Cadillac Mt View Loft and Hammocks

This is a very unique spot. .It can be rented on it’s own or combined with an adjoining site . There is an indoor, upstairs loft, with a double bed, a downstairs area with a propane fire pit and a hammock for sleeping and relaxing in any weather. If it’s a good fit, you will awaken to one of the first sunrises on the East Coast and have a view of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. You will be within a private animal preserve. Adults over 21 only. No kids allowed. Also perfect for a small tent which can be inside the lower level or outside as you feel like.   A beautiful loft at the top of a ladder with views in 4 directions surrounded by stars, sunrise, sunset , fog or occasionally a view of the Northern Lights. Screened windows , solid walls and roof and serenity. No electricity, Take a step back to simplicity and unplug.  Motorcycles welcome and can be brought inside below . Essential to call BEFORE booking at two zero seven six six seven three two four four. We also have other overnight or weekly sites at Camping With Wolves or the clothing optional site Rough and Raw. Sometimes people cancel or just never show up. Call us to see if there is a last minute space. Direct Phone call  or text is the only sure way to contact promptly. Talk to us first. Depending on availability, customized timing and services can be arranged . This changes pricing. A romantic step up from tent camping or a perfect solitary retreat. . . Call for the most accurrate info.. Reserve a Camping With Wolves tent site or Biker’s Bunkhouse if dates for the Loft are unavailable.. The Loft is available year round unless ice/snow /mud make it inaccessible. Maine weather is anything from -50 with wind chill to 100 degrees. If it’s not freezing outside , bugs are likely. Days or weeks of fog and rain are common as are days and weeks of sunshine. Understand and prepare , The Loft is a great way to be more comfortable in a camping style setting regardless what may be happening outdoors. There is Access to the outdoor hot shower during non freezing seasons, typically available May-November. The water is turned off at freeze up.

A room within a large barn offering rustic comfort and shelter from the elements for both yourself and your bike/s. A gravel driveway , easy to drive your bike/s right inside and stay a night or a few knowing all is safe and undercover with you. Not glamorous. There is a room with a queen bed with linens. Ready for a comfortable night. There is electricity. You have a space for your own outdoor campfire. We may also allow a tent to be set up either inside or out. In addition to the Queen size bed within the room, We provide 2 hammocks inside and a cooler for you to use here. This area is within our private grounds. The property is home to a variety of animals.We are Located approximately 5 minutes away from the Bar Harbor Airport and the bridge to Mt Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Roughly 20 minutes to the ferry to Nova Scotia and 90 ish miles to the border of New Brunswick. Questions.? Call us . We created this space for motorcycles but we welcome those of you traveling by bicycle too. This is a safe dry place to spread out , dry out and relax before or after a day of riding. From November to April ( the probable months of freezing weather) this area may be inaccessible to vehicles and the outdoor shower will be turned off and unavailable. CALL in advance of booking.

The rules and number of guests allowed will depend upon what choice is available. Overflow” may be a campsite or cabin space and may require moving from one to another. It is exactly what it says. “Overflow”.. This is what is left at extra busy , last minute times in peak season. Two zero seven six six seven three two four four. Persistence and flexibility may get you a space even last minute on a holiday weekend. Overflow is not a site in itself, it is a way to access scattered or last minute availability.
