Welcome to our scenic camp area located in beautiful Maine. We offer a comfortable private no frills REAL camp experience in the foothills of Maine. Enjoy nature as you explore our maintained 3-mile trail system, perfect for leisurely walks. Our RV sites are just off the road in an open area and gated. RV sites have power and water. All other amenities are a short 2-3 minute walk up to our OUTPOST SITE and day use communal picnic area. OUTPOST CAMPSITE This site we call our ATV-UTV or walk in tenting-camp area. YOU CAN BRING YOUR PERSONAL ATV, or we will bring all your gear up to your campsite with our camp side-by-side. ( 2-3 minute walk if you want to walk or backpack in-or we can drive you up too!). The camp area offers a screened building with table and outdoor sink for day use, complete with a campfire pit. You will camp with 17 acres of privacy. Water and electric on site. If you like CAMPING, but you are not a campground type person, THE OUTPOST may be for you. My goal as a host is that while on your stay at the OUTPOST, you will feel like it’s your own…….quite…..peaceful…..private….scenic. Anglers will delight in our 2,000 feet of brook frontage with trout by the state of Maine (fishing license required). We also have a stocked fish pond a short walk through the woods to Agape Acres for your viewing enjoyment or a picnic.( no fishing on this pond ). There are a number of GREAT small bass ponds in our area just minutes away! Also, disc golf and 3 local trails- STREAKED MOUNTAIN TRAIL, PACKARD TRAIL, and the LOWELL TRAIL are within a 10 minute drive. ******RV campers will appreciate our 50 amp and 30 amp service options. Best of all, access to all amenities is included with your reservation, allowing you to fully enjoy your stay. The OUTPOST SITE communal outdoor summer kitchen use provided free. Walk in sites are separated well but share the fire pit and summer kitchen and sink and bathhouse-I recommend reserving BOTH SITES for total privacy Bicycle repair shop on premises. ATV trails and snowmobiling, in season, with access from camp area. ***Please contact us for large group rates as we offer a GREAT private group camping experience!*** FROM MID OCTOBER UNTIL MID APRIL - THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER,SHOWERS,OR FLUSH TOILETS IN USE.( due to freezing weather ). Jugs of potable water can be given to campers if needed.

We have two spacious RV camping sites available, one with 50 amp service and the other with 30 amp service. These sites can also accommodate tent camping if desired. RV SITES HAVE ELECTRIC AND WATER ON SITE and are basically set up for self contained camper use. Our sites are just off the road. ALL OTHER LISTED AMENITIES ARE IN THE COMMUNAL CAMP AREA A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY. There is a pit toilet on site at RV area. Fire ring and 1 free wheelbarrow of firewood included. Enjoy the convenience of our undercover “SUMMER KITCHEN”picnic area and fire pit, located a short trail walk up the hill, away from the main RV site. Enjoy nature with our extensive network of mapped trails on the premises, perfect for hiking and biking. PETS WELCOME!! Additionally, there are local hiking and biking trails just minutes away, allowing you to explore the surrounding area at your leisure. Our communal day area provides a quiet tranquil setting for your stay. Our grounds can easily accommodate large groups or family gatherings, ensuring everyone has plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Back in or pull insite with water and 30 amp electric hook up. Plenty of room and includes all amenities up at our ATV/WALK-IN SITE. Fire ring and wheelbarrow of free camp wood included. The sites are right off the road and also have a pit toilet. A short walk up hill to showers and summer kitchen and very private,day use area. 3 miles of trails are accessible right from the site. Our bass pond for viewing and picnics is a short walk. IDEAL FOR PETS and campers who love to walk. TROUT FISHING on premises with Maine license . Our 2 RV / POP UP sites are available for any type camping but are set up basically for self contained use, as all our camp amenities are up at the walk in site. FROM MID OCTOBER THROUGH MID APRIL- THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER, FLUSH TOILET, OR SHOWERS DUE TO COLD WEATHER. Jugs of spring water will be given to campers.

SUNRISE BUNKHOUSE

A secluded bunkhouse set away from the main camp area, but close enough to all the things that Agape Acres/ Outpost has to offer. Bring your own air mattress or cots. The bunkhouse is an open concept. There is electric in the Bunkhouse with a light and outlets to charge phone, pads, and extra lights if you need. Electric for larger items is available in the Outpost summer kitchen. So if you like the idea of a private sleeping place and full use of our SUMMER KITCHEN to do all you cooking and hanging out, this site is for you. THIS IS A WALK IN ONLY SITE. I CAN BRING ALL GEAR UP ON ARRIVAL, AND DOWN WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING, WITH MY SIDE BY SIDE. It is a 2-3 minute walk to the top. If you like to be away from it all, but not a tent person, this may be for you! Reserve both bunkhouses for a $10 a night discount.

SUNSET BUNKHOUSE

A secluded bunkhouse set away from the main communal area, but close enough to all the things that Agape Acres/ Outpost has to offer. Bring your own air mattress or cots. The bunkhouse is an open concept and VERY PRIVARE. There is power in the cabin with a light and plug ins for phone and computer. You will have full use of our FULLY EQUIPPED SUMMER KITCHEN near by for all cooking needs or just hanging out. Electric is available in the Outpost summer kitchen also for bigger power needs. THIS IS A WALK IN ONLY SITE. It is a 2-3 minute walk to the cabin. I can transport you and all gear up to the cabin with my side by side if requested, and I will be HAPPY to do it!! If you like to be away from it all, but not a tent person, this may be for you! Reserve both bunkhouses for a $10 a night discount.

My wife and I had the best trip of the year staying at Art’s camp, he has put so much time and effort into ensuring that campers have everything they need. The property is so beautiful and the shower is great. We immediately connected, he is a good man and really cares about the people who come to camp there. He recommended several places to fish and eat while we were there as well as places to hike. All in all a really awesome experience for our first time with HipCamp.

I agree with all the other nice things said in the previous reviews! I didn't have any issue getting to sleep in my tent in the tent/RV spots just off the road, the distance between the road and camp + the line of trees really helped, but I'm also not a light sleeper, so take that into account! Art was a great and accommodating host, wish we could've spent a bit more time. Definitely secluded/private but still with all of the comforting amenities!

Everything was great, art was on the job, gave us a tour , checked in to see if we needed anything. Only negative is the rv sites are close to a somewhat busy road so a bit noisy. The tent sites are further back and quieter

Art was the best as a host... Responsive and so enthusiastic about his surroundings. The accomodations [up the hill for me] were clean and plentiful. Art even offered to open the cabin for me if I wished. Especially appreciated was the bottled water to refill my cantene as I did a lot of outside work in the sun...nice to know the water was so pure. The sight is a bit close to the transfer station for my likes; however, for those in tents or the lovely little cabins up the hill this would not be a problem. Also not a problem at night and on the weekends. Oxford County in Maine is my stomping grounds. I hope many of you will come and visit. You will love Agape!

I had a great stay at this campsite! The place is awesome — very spacious, peaceful, and equipped with everything I needed. The host was welcoming and made sure I felt at home. It’s clear they put a lot of care into maintaining the space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay!

Arts land was awesome! We stopped for 1 night passing through town to check it out but we definitely plan to return. Art has tried to have anything and everything one might need, like a 50->30 amp adapter. We arrived late at night but Art met us there and made sure we got backed in okay. In the morning we walked up to check out the outpost and outdoor kitchen. Such a fun looking spot for a group of friends or family. Ours dogs loved the trails. Thanks for having us Art, we’ll be back!

This is a really nice spot with 2 large campsites right off of RT. 140. Full hook-ups with 1-30 amp, 1-50 amp with fresh, filtered water available as well as tap for hook-up to your camper. A covered pit toilet with supplies is a short distance up one of the trails. There is no dump station or picnic table but Art did provide a 6' folding table for us to use, free of charge. There is 1 large, heavy duty fire ring to share. Dry firewood is 15.00 for two big bundles. This is literally the first camping place we've been to where the firewood was seasoned, dry & with all the bark intact. It made an awesome fire!! Quiet in the afternoons & evenings. Rt. 140 is busy during the day. There is a long trail uphill to a big clearing with enough room for many tent spots, complete with shower, pit toilet & communal kitchen which has a propane grill. Nicely maintained trails with one leading to the river and quite a few other nature walking trails. Good for mountain biking & there is fishing at the river if you are so inclined. Art, the owner of the land & bike shop is super nice & accommodating. We didn't have the correct plug for a 50 amp conversion so he brought one for us to use, also free of charge. He also checked in with us after a few days to make sure we had everything we needed. An unexpected bonus is that if you book more than 4 days Art blocks off that time so folks have the place to themselves We will definitely come back!

Art is an amazing host with great recommendations! This is the second time we have stayed here and have decided two nights is not enough time. Will be back again this season so we can accomplish what we did not our first visit.

Fantastic location, could not have asked for a better host. Great little get-away just outside of Portland. Awesome hiking trails, and proximity to everything else Maine has to offer. We will be keeping this on the short list for our next trip.

Great Place To Camp!
AGAPE ACRES—RV/POP UP 30 amp
After primitive camping for 4 weeks, we camped at Agape Acres. We were treated like family from the first minute we met Art. The sites were clean and neat. He brought us a big bottle of spring water and firewood as needed. We had electricity! He took us up the hill to the primitive sites, where we found heated showers, a flush toilet and a screened-in cabin we used on a rainy day to play games. All trails are clearly marked and the attention to detail was amazing. We spent time with the host couple and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us! THE OUTPOST- ATV UTV -WALK IN SITE
My friends and I had a wonderful time camping on Art's land. We had the whole location to ourselves which was great. The spot is nearby places to hike and swim. Art provided a lot of supplies which made the camping trip go smooth. It was also nice having a shower and flush toilet on site. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Art was a FANTASTIC HOST! We stayed at the lower RV site area, parking was a breeze, power and water worked well. Potable water was available and when we ran low, Art brought another jug! We really loved the hiking trails on the property, they were well marked and provided various terrain. Our 2 dogs enjoyed all of the new smells! The hot shower and restroom up at the Outpost camping area was well stocked and felt great after a day of bike riding and hiking. There are tons of wonderful bike routes and hikes (with views of Mt Washington!!) very close by! The market in the center of town was only a little over a mile away and great stop for anything we forgot. We are looking forward to returning to Agape Acres, we had a great time and Art was so helpful!!

THE OUTPOST- ATV UTV -WALK IN SITE
The Outpost was overall PERFECT! It has toilet,shower,kitchen,wood for bonfire,water and electricity. The place is safe and spacious. Art was very helpful and easy to talked to. Our stay was memorable given this is our first time camping.Will definitely be back. Will recommend to friends and family.

Had a great stay, Art is a wonderful helpful host and the site was just the right amount of isolation for me. I would not have wanted to stay in the even more private area at the top of the hill despite the shower being there, I was fine by the road (initially a little wary of being that close but there was little to no traffic at night so that wasn't an issue). Good location for where I was visiting. Art was super helpful showing me everything about the grounds, offering up campfire wood, showing his private fish pond and directing me to a good fishing pond nearby where I did ok! Hope to stay there again in the future!

The rv spaces were excellent, the electric and water hook ups worked great. Art is a very nice man, makes sure you are set and lets you have your vacation time in peace! He helped my son with local fishing spots and let him fish his super cool pond.

Agape Acres is pretty magical. ART provided us with water and electric hookup and a supply of spring water and firewood. There are several beautiful trails, a nearby latrine, and a hike up the hill to the hot shower. If we’re ever passing through, we’d stay again!

We all had a wonderful time at the Outpost! Art is a wonderful host! We will definitely go back. No need to bring a ton of stuff. The summer kitchen was a life saver while it rained. Nice bathroom as well. And the trails are well maintained.

This was the perfect site for me a my group! I rented out both camping areas in order to have room for all of my people and we had a great time! The area is beautiful and the space was perfect for us! Would definitely come again if I’m in the area!

Fantastic weekend for our family thanks to the thoughtful and hospitable host, Art, as well as his beautiful land and trails. Art provided us with clean drinking water, assistance in moving our gear up and down the hill, and was kind enough to even give us a tour and gave recommendations on which trails were family friendly for the little ones. FYI the electric hookups at the camper sites also both include 15a connections. The kitchen area had a few mid sized coolers which was super handy. The bathroom was very clean. The trails are well groomed. The hill separating the RV sites from the tent sites is walkable but definitely recommend taking Art up on any offers for help in transporting gear. All and all great place to make memories, have fun, and relax.

Art was the absolute best! Communication was wonderful. He went above and beyond. And I mean above and beyond, we broke down 2 miles away.. what does he do.. he came and got us out of harms way, even called a buddy (got him outta bed) to come help. The land is wonderful, covered by trees.. Perfect for the self sustained camper. Water and electric on site with fireput.. You set way back off the road and have seclusion but are still close to town. Art is a wealth of knowledge of the local sites and best places to visit while we were there.. if we are ever out this way, I know 100%, we will be renting from Art again.

THE OUTPOST- ATV UTV -WALK IN SITE
The Outpost was amazing! Very nice short walk up to a large grassy area with a bathroom, shower, cabin, and electric post. Art was incredibly responsive and even brought my gear to the site when I got there. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to escape and relax while being immersed in nature.
