Learn more about this land: Enjoy a great migration of wading birds as the sun sets and the fantastic stars begin to pop. I will provide you with a flashlight at check-in. If you have headlamps, I recommend you bring them. The original Miami Beach life guard tower you will be sleeping in has been renovated to include ac and a queen size bed!  The best part is a terrific view of the mangrove wet lands and a lovely breeze. The space is cozy with a comfortable bed, privacy, and plenty of windows for taking in the natural beauty all around.   Amenities are minimal and there is nothing within an 8 mile radius so bring some supplies if you want to maximize your time on site or go check out the tastes and sites in nearby Key Largo!

Pricey for the quality
It was okay, definitely a camping experience. The place is only as big as the bed and there was bird poop on it when we got there. Not sure it's worth the money..

laid back on the dock
Unique space with a comfortable bed right on the water. We went swimming off the dock, cooked on a campfire and Sarine let us use the kayaks to explore the labyrinth of mangroves growing in the water. All in all it was a pretty sweet spot.

The lifeguard towers are unique, and though close to the highway actually pretty quiet. It has good AC and clean sheets so I was happy. The property is a work in progress, but there’s a very nice couple putting lots of work into it.

Super cool stay
Such a cool place. There was a little problem with one of the pumps that left the toilet out of commission but we spent most of our weekend exploring so it didn't really bother us. There are a couple really friendly cats that want pets all days and night and a bunch of stray kittens that are so cute. The chickens are sweet too! Super fun experience. Love that there is AC in the tower. At night you can see all the stars and it gets so dark and quiet. I was worried about how close it is to the main highway but you can't hear anything at all.

Fun and different
Great if you’re looking for something different and unique. Juan was a wonderful camp host. Very helpful and such a nice guy. We were able to take the kayaks out for a couple of hours to explore. Our neighbors staying in the tower next to us were a fun and added bonus. Definitely a work in progress (Bathrooms/water weren’t the best but we aren’t super picky) but we definitely enjoyed our stay there. Simple, easy, comfortable, and perfectly suited our needs and what we were looking for.

Exceeded expectations
We had the best experience. My husband, myself and our 6 yo girl stayed for 2 nights midweek. As soon as we pulled in the host told us the manatee was at the doc waiting for us so we made our way through the chickens and cats and hung out with our greeter the manatee. Juan was our main contact and we had fun telling stories in the evenings. Serine came by and was also very friendly and updated us on what was where. You will do best here if you already like to fully embrace the outdoors. There is air conditioning which is wonderful and a bed! The bathrooms aren’t great but wasn’t a big deal. You will be one with nature here. We went out on the kayaks multiple times and it was just breathtaking. The towers and masts at the marina are a good marker so you won’t get lost. Our daughter enjoyed all of the different animals and was never bored. Overall this was a dreamy getaway and I will be back.
