All sites have access to a regular toilet in the RV on site by the cabin, along with a well water hose hanging by the well and trash bins. XTRAS: Hi Speed Cox WiFi, a regular extension cord, hot showers in the RV, Full Size refrigerator use in the RV, Use of a jon boat (trolling motor, battery, and boat cushions provided), ATV trails (low speed trails covering the camp with hills, mud, and swamp scenery) You will catch catfish and bream on a live worm; an eight-pound bass has been caught here. We now offer "venue" level use of the camp for catered events, parties, or larger get-togethers! Pick the site "Horseshoe Bend Parties" and select the number of people attending. This is a 24-hour rental starting at 10 AM. We provide electricity, bathrooms, showers, and high-speed wifi.

Situated on a lake on the Amite River, close to the city but out in the country. Use the property for a party or catered event. Party like you are at your own home, but don't have to worry about neighbors. Play the music, build a bonfire, BYOB. Have your event catered at your own expense with the venue price already known. Events can run all night, but the property must be completely cleared before 10 AM. We provide electricity, water, trash, bathroom (bring toilet paper and towels for showers), WiFi, and an outdoor prep area with a large stainless steel table.

If you don't have a tent or want something a little more secure than a tent, there is a small utility building next to the lake. On warmer days, you can set up the AC, and a small electric heater will provide plenty of warmth in the compact space on cold nights. The top rolls back for stargazing. You can lock your things up for trips away from the pod. This is ideal for one person, but a couple could share it if they don't mind being close. I'm 5' 10" and can fit in it completely stretched out. I provide electricity, portable AC, water, garbage bins, Wi-Fi access, and hot showers in the RV with the glamping pod. The glamping pod area can host larger gatherings, but guests will bring their own tents. Use of the boat is included!

This was such a great spot to camp. My tent location was right next to the water which was beautiful to wake up next to. Damon was proactive in sending me directions and notes for everything I would need during my stay.

I would most definitely recommend Damon's land for camping! It was peaceful and quiet but not too far from town. As a solo female camper, I felt safe. Having access to the RV (which could have been a little cleaner, but was not the worst public bathroom I've seen!) with a flush toilet, hot running water, and shower was a game changer for my trip ~ I had planned to split my 2 week vacation between camping and hostels, but decided to camp the whole time! I will camp on Damon's land again the next time I am in Louisiana!

I would definitely recommend this spot to others! It's peaceful & quiet. Beautiful area right on the river. Having access to the RV with hot running water, a shower & flush toilet was a game changer! I had planned to split my trip from Maine between car camping & staying at a hostel, but decided to stay on Damon's land for my whole vacation.

Very rudimentary, dirty 30 inch trailer. I don't think I will return. You get what your paid for. If you are on budget, not bad place to stay one night.

This campsite is beautiful. The host, Damon, is a wonderful guy. He does live on-site which wasn't an issue, in fact, I felt safer knowing he was around. The upkeep on the property is well done. Damon allowed us to move sites when we realized we weren't getting as much shade as we wanted in the peak of the day. Our dogs had plenty of room the explore and run. My husband and I were so impressed that we extended our stay. Other notes: This property isn't super remote. Yes there are neighbors and traffic but nothing remotely as bad as a hotel by the interstate or even a KOA.

Very tranquil and beautiful spot in nature. Just what the doctor order after packing it out of New Orleans enroute to Denver. Damon is super helpful and will accommodate you. He moved me in closer and mowed grass before I moved over too. Definitely would return!

We really enjoyed our two nights at Damon’s camp site. It was so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed. Upon arrival, Damon provided the electric cord and it was easy to get hooked up. Water hose was near by, the shower and flush toilet, located in an older trailer was much appreciated.

Wet disappointed with this spot. There was a large trailer in the way which made backing into the site extremely difficult even with a small camper. Junk in the brush, site was completely unkept, in mowed, overgrown. Never got the power I paid for. I water, no help parking, nothing.

Amazing and beautiful. Easy to access and feels safe. The night time was perfect despite rain. The host was easy to contact and we didn’t see him much at all so the sense of privacy was amazing. Overall we loved it and will be back

We had a lovely stay on Damon's land, by the lake and enjoyed a fire. We did not see Damon and could not open his message to us, but the place was easy to find and we figured things out.

This was the perfect location for visiting friends and family from Abbeville, BR, NO, and lots of locations in between. The site itself is quiet and secluded while only being a few miles from stores and restaurants. And Damon is a wonderful host. He's available through the app if needed. Otherwise he leaves you to your own devices. Perfect! I look forward to my next trip down south

We had a great stay at Damon's land. Everything went smoothly and we were directly at the waters edge. It's close to the cabin and RV but that wasn't an issue.

Camping at Horseshoe Bend was really nice. It’s right next to water. Very serene atmosphere. A lovely spot, if you’d like to get out of the city! Damon was very communicative, which I surely appreciated. If you’re looking for a quiet spot, out of the city but not TOO far, this is the spot to be in Baton Rouge!

It was a perfect spot to put your head down for the night, but I will say it didn’t feel very private. The area was nice and enough space was given to us for chilling and hammocking, but our proximity to camping spot #2 made me feel uneasy to play music aloud or make too much noise as we were directly next to eachother. I would suggest this be merged into one single camp spot. No other complaints

Damon is a super nice guy . You’re basically camping in his front yard in small pull offs Right on the water. For an extra fee there is a hot shower and laundry available.
